How do you....
A. Get past the sandstorm near the old ladies house that heals you?
B. How do you get a heart scale?

A. To get through the desert you need the Go-Goggles(so you can see) from Lavaridge Town after you obtain the Heat Badge from Flannery, your Rival will approach you as you leave the gym to give them to you. Now you can go there.
B. There are lots of heart scales in the watery areas and around small land areas in the water, but many must be found with the Itemfinder. There are many UNDER water as well-use dive, the bumps in the sand are usually hidden items! You can also find them by catching a wild Luvdisc who might be holding one(Evergrande City & Rt. 128 have many w/ the Super Rod, some w/ the Good Rod).
C. I dunno-you need to apply, but I imagine most teams would consider you if you have anything to offer, or just b/c you're interested. I think I'm still a Team Untouchable member, but I was out of contact for a bit, so who knows-I hope so!-but try by applying in the Forums to a team that interests you, that's usually where that kinda stuff takes place.

But you can't get to lav. Without going through the desert?omega dark jak answered:
A. Beat flannery, the 4th gym leader and you'll get the go goggles that let you get though the sand storm.
B. You get them under water.

Dont know about heart scales
Go to the forums and ask to be on a team

Reminder to self to get past the sandstorm you have to defeat the lavaridge gym and get the go-goggles or what ever they are called.
Still trying to find heart scale IF ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT!!!!

1) To get into the Desert you need the Go-Goggles which you get from May your rival in Lavaridge Town after you beat the Gym Leader there.
2) You can get a Heart Scale off the ocean floor somewhere hidden, and the rest form a wild Luvdisc who hold the item, you can catch the Pokemon to see if they have it on them, or the easy way steal the item from the Pokemon by using Covet or Thief if they have one on them.
3) To join a team ask the leader of the team of some member with a high authority ranking and they might let you join.
