Well, I just beat Pokemon Emerald's Elite Four. Meaning I get to go to the battle frontier!
 Yay!
 But I need a good, EV trained team for it. If you could please take these requirements into account though:
 1-I can't trade,so no other generation Pokemon(cause I have the actual Emerald cartridge on my DS)
 
 2-I would like an offensive Pokemon in the lead(physical or special, doesn't matter which) one good physical defender, and one special defender
 
 3-3 Pokemon on team
 
 4- #2 is optional but reccomended
 
 5-the two defenders should cover each other's weaknesses well defensively in covering their types

ANSWERS

1. I would say a good sp.attacker would be blaziiken if hes your starter if not dragonite as his stats are impeccable
2. A good special defender would have to be in my opinion camerupt since his defense and special defense allow him to take alot of damage(except against water-types) and he learns eruption, fissure-one hit ko, and earthquake)
3. Filler Pokemon id suggest milotic, salamence, and kadabra(alakazam but you said you can't trade)
4. For a finisher id say you need a good flying type or ghost so id reccomend- dusclops, or skarmory
