Release it back into the wild. If you want to do that though, I believe you'll need to use any of the PC's scattered throughout the game. Access the PC, find the Pokemon you want to toss out, and select the option to release it. Simple as that. But, be warned: If you do release it, you can't get it back.

You can leave your Pokemon in the Pokemon daycare in route 117 and never come back for it.

What you will want to do is go to the Poké center in Oldale. Access "Someone's PC" And select the "deposit pokemon" option, choose the Pokémon you wish to release. And done!
