Question for Pokemon Emerald

My approach to a Pokemon battle is to have the strongest, fastest pokemon. I never really needed what some people call a sustainer, or the Pokemon who can take a hit while I heal my other pokemon. Is it worth it to invest in one if all I do with my Pokemon is beat the eliet four over and over, and if so what are some sudgested Pokemon for the task.

Comment:(Jul 31 2008) Dear jared guy just want to let you know i do that very much if this sounds snotty and like im being a jerk im not trying to be that way i breed my pokemon so my swellow knows earthquake and my seadra knows flamethrower im very well rounded

You have a good battle strategy but how are your pokemon's movesets? You should always to the most of your ability teach a Pokemon it's own weakness. Example teach a mewtwo shadow ball or a lapras thunder or a blaziken aerial ace good Pokemon to beat the elite 4 with are- blaziken(could beat glacia and sydney with sky uppercut and flamethrower/balze kick),
Mewtwo for phoebe- shadow ball
A strong ice or dragon for drake (lapras with ice beam or salamence or a lati with dragon claw)
An electric/ grass ppokemon for wallace( zapdos with thunder or breloom with gigag drain/solarbeam)

Well, the best types are ones that can defeat each elite's pokemon....

1. Any Fighting Type, though I highly suggest Blaziken:D
2. A Dark Type. Psychics can die here, so I might suggest a Mightyena with protect/shadow ball/crunch last move is up to you :D
3. I always switch out an electric and fire type here. I always use a jolteon/ usually blaziken mix here, but only use my blaziken if my jolteon gets overwelmed :C
4. Now I cracked up at this, for whatever reason....I use a Slowbro with Ice Punch. It's all up to you, but those types might be of great opportunity to you :D
