Yes! I have proof: I got the harvest sprites to work for me in one day! How? I filled my backpack 3 times with flour and gave it all to them in the same day! So if it works with the harvest sprites, it should work with girls.
I'll have to tell you that you can only give girls a couple of gifts a day otherwise they will be wasted but this only happens with girls as for everyone else you can get someone from hating you to loving you in one day (i.e a Harvest Sprite can go from 0-10 in a day)
