Question for Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town

This is sort of embarassing, but I only got the game today. I can't access my tools. I go to where it says some tools on your farm, but I can't get them. Can some body tell me where to get them?

When you enter your house walk to your bed. At the foot of your bed there should be a wooden chest. Open it and inside all all your basic tools. You can use tools by pressing B.

All you have to do is go to the box in the bottom right corner of your house press A on it and select the tool you want and which slot of your rucksack you want it placed in hope I helped bye
