They can be alive if your taking care of them and give tem animal medicine when their sick so it won't die already.....

Even if you take good care of them, all animals die someday (But it may take 2-3 years)
I have had a cow and sheep since year 1 and they are just fine on year 23 so I believe they don't die of old age lol
As long as you keep them healthy, they will never die, but if you don't feed them, get attacked by wild dog, stay outside with rainy or stormy weather, they will get unhappy or get aick very fast then die in 2 days...
