Is it the troll part when you are in Snape's classroom? I don't know of a specific way to beat it, but I know that it helps a lot if you use Petrificus Totalus to freeze him. You get like 3 free shots at him where he can't attack you. I think I also used the biggest spells that I had for him to get his SP's down. Just keep refilling your MP's too. Hope that helps.

All you need to use is petrificus totalus and incendio tria....

You only need to freeze the troll once and if I remember correctly, incendio tria about 4 times...

Just make sure you use Hermione's special power of proper wand technique...hope this helps !!!
