Ignore what that statue say. To explore the Mars Lighthouse, you MUST have the Blaze psynergy. Use it to activate the dragon statue in certain places so that they can use flamethrower and thaw the ice blocking the way. You will and MUST get the Teleport psynergy in the Mars Lighthouse because the only way to reach the top (roof) is by using Teleport. You'll obtain the Mars Star later.

After going through the lighthouse, you should reach a room where there is a large ice with something trapped inside. Activate the two dragon head statue at both side and they will throw flame, resulting in a crack on the ice. Then use Burst on the ice and the two headed dragon which was trapped will challenge you.

After defeating the dragon, it will morph into Agatio and Karst. They will give you the Mars Star. Then go back to where the statue says 'if you do not have the mars star, you will not reach the heavens'. The statue will reveal four doors on the wall. The doors will lead you to four towers, where you must complete the puzzle in there and use Blaze to manipulate the flame to incinerate the picture on the wall. After completing this, the statue will throw flames on the floor in front of it. Then you will see a teleport pad. Use teleport while standing on it to reach the roof. Then walk east, jump across the floating platform, to the north, then up the stair. You will have a little conversation with the Wise One first, then he'll challenge you by summoning the Doom Dragon (three headed-dragon).
