I am stuck at Goldenrod City...I cannot get the squiggly tree to go away..

You have to first get the badge from Whitney and then go to the Floral House which is right next to the gym. Talk to the girl there and she'll give you Squirtbottle.

Go to the tree and press A. Use the Squirtbottle and then capture or defeat the tree which is actually Sudowoodo.

Now to get the Rocksmash TM, after beating Sudowoodo, go to the right and talk to the guy.

He'll give you the TM for Rocksmash.

When you have beat the gym you go next door and there is a ladie standing by the flowers.

Talk to her and she will give you the squirt bottle.

I'm not sure about rock smash but when you have the TM you can buy it from the market.

In Goldenrod City, go to the house right of the Goldenrod City Gym, (Whitney's Gym). Inside of the house, a woman will give you the SQUIRTBOTTLE, which is needed to clear the weird tree.

Go back to the tree, then it will say something like, use the squirtbottle? Say yes and the weird tree will attack because actually, the weird tree is the pokemon: SODOWOODO.

It will be at Level 20 and you can catch it if you like or just knock it out to the clear the path.

Now, you can proceed with the game and the tree will be gone. I hoped I have helped.

Well, start by defeating Whitney of the Goldenrod Gym, then snag the Squirtbottle, use it on the tree, battle it, and after the battle is through, stand in place of the tree, then head directly east. You should run into a fat man who will give you Rock Smash.

Just an editorial that no one on here posted... You have to talk to Whitney after you lose, you don't just automatically get the badge, like in most cases... When you talk to her again she'll give it to you... Then follow everyone else's advice!

After this move up till you meet an girl infront of the tree.
Than you have to move into the house right next to the gym with the flowers
There you get the item SQUIRTBOTTLE
Move again up till you see the tree an press A on it. Fight the lvl 20 tree

Get the squirtbottle from the receptionist at the flower shop

You need to beat Witney, and at the right to the gym there is a flower shop, go there and talk to the girl there.
She'll give you an Watersquirt (I think that's the name) and then you can go to the dancing tree blocking the way
