Question for Pokemon Silver

Please, will someone tell me how to find a lickitung? I look for it on the pokedex and I followed up to where the ice path was. It wasnt there or hiding in the trees to where you are suppose to headbutt it. I can't find a Staryu either. I probably sound stupid or something, but I truly can't find them and I kinda need them for the stones.

You can find Lickitung between Mohagany town and Ice Path. There's water between them. Surf up the water and you'll see some grass. You can find Lickitung there. You can find Staryu almost anywhere by fishing with a super rod at night. The best place to find it is Olivine City.

Lickitoungue can be found on route 42 between Mohogany Town and Ice Path, on a little island with some grass which you need to Surf to.

Go to route 44. Then find the lake in the middle of the route, and surf across it. There's a hidden patch of grass there, and you have a 15% chance of finding Lickitung (any time of day). You can find Staryu with Good Rod or Super Rod at nighttime along Routes 19, 20, 21, 34, 40, or 41, or in Olivine City, Cianwood City, Cerulean City, Cherrygrove City, and Cinnabar Island. You have a 10% chance of finding one at night with the Good Rod, and a 30% chance of finding one at night with the Super Rod, and 0% chance any other time of day.
