Yes, you can. I actually caught mine with a Great Ball.
Whittle down its HP with attacks like Night Shade and make sure you save before it.
Paralyze it as well and keep throwing balls.
Bring it down to as little HP as possible first.

Yes you can I caught Mewtwo with a pokeball at FULL HEALTH and he wasnt even sleeping or anything I just started the batle threw a pokeball and caught him.

This sounds stupid, but I got it's hp really low, and used ONE poke ball and got it. I don't want to be a show off. Don't try it yourself. And yes, you can. It took me like a million times w/articuno.

Make the feline doze before you try catching it with anything, unless you are making use of your Master Ball.

Yes. Try making it sleep or paralyze it and weaken it.
