Question for Pokemon Crystal

Can you catch a Growlithe before you catch/kill Sudowoodo? 'Cause there's a patch of grass on Route 36 near Violet City.....I've looked for days, but never found one..........

Yes you can but they're rare & only appear in the morning & during the day.

Yes but since Sudowoodo is actually a rock type, there's no point

Growlithe ususlly appear in the same patch of grass every time during the morning. Oh and it's kind of difficult to catch since it uses the move "Roar" but try "Sand-Attack" to lower it's accurancy on using the move. Pidgey is useful.
