What Pokemon does a fire stone evolve in crystal? And where can they be found?

In Pokemon Crystal, the Fire Stone can cause the following evolutions:

Growlithe -> Arcanine
Eevee -> Flareon

In Pokemon Crystal, the Fire Stone can be given as a gift from Schoolboy Alan on Route 36. After you have defeated him and added him to your phone book, he will call you sometime telling you he has a gift. At some time or another, it will be a Firestone.

Another way to get a Firestone would be to show a Growlithe to Bill's Grandfather at his house at Cerulean Cape (Kanto).
