Is there any way to get through rock tunnel without being in total darkness(first time through).Please answer. Thankyou if you do.

Yes, if you have the Flash HM.
Get it from Professor Oak's aide by having a certain amount of Pokemon (I don't recall how many.)

Just apply Flash. (Flash) is available from the aide in the Route 2 checkpoint once you have captured at least ten kinds of Pok�mon.

You must use Flash to get through the cave sightfully. Flash is an HM.

Yes there is.
When you turn your game boy on, do one of these:
Down= Pastel colors.
Down and B= Dark Autumn colors.
Down and A= More Autumny colors.
Right= Christmas colors.
Right and B= What's light will be dark, what's dark will be light. This is my personal fav.
Right and A= Green.
Up= Chocolaty colors.
Up and B= Really dark chocolaty colors<.BR> Up and A= Another shade of chocolate.
Left= I've got the bluuueees.
Left and B= Black and white, like you're playing Game Boy 1 or Game Boy pocket.
Left and A= A Cadet Blue
I'm not sure which one it is but one of these lights up Rock Tunnel.

Firstly go to digletts cave and follow it to a walkway where you must keep using cut to get past certain pathways.Then there will be a big building with 2 to 3 people in it and there will be one of prof:oaks' aids there and will give you the FLASH HM if you have caught more than 10 pokemon.
Please use this wisely!

You need the HM Flash.
You get the HM by talking to one of Professor Oak's aides on Route 2. You must have at least 10 Pokemon in your PokeDex.

You need to have the HM Flash. Capture ten different kinds of Pokemon and talk to the Aide on Route 2.
