Evolving Wailmer
Even though it is extremely hard to believe that Magikarp isn’t the only Pokemon that needs the daunting amount of 400 Candy in order to evolve, that sad true is that Magikarp is only one of three Pokemon that has since towering Evolution Requirement. The other two Pokemon both hail from the Hoenn Region, one of which is Wailmer. That’s right, Wailmer requires exactly 400 Wailmer Candy in order to evolve in Wailord. It’s easy to understand why Magikarp requires such an impressive amount of Candy in order to evolve into Gyarados: Magikarp is one of the weaker, if not the weakest, Pokemon in all of existence, while Gyarados is a powerhouse Pokemon that loves to fight. That being said, it is also easy to under why its takes the same amount to evolve Wailmer into Wailord, as Wailord is one of the biggest Pokemon you can obtain in the World of Pokemon.
But even though it is easy to understand why Wailmer needs so much Candy in order to evolve into Wailord, it doesn’t take away how broken this is compared to most Pokemon needing anywhere from 62-150 Candy to evolve a Pokemon into its Final Evolution. Much like Magikarp, Wailmer is extremely rare to all players that don’t live near water. If you do live near water, you won’t have one problem whatsoever with obtaining enough Candy to evolve Wailmer. On the contrary, if you live anywhere else, you will struggle mightily at accomplishing such a thing. If the latter is the case, you better get ready to walk your Wailmer (if you are even lucky enough to find or obtain one) like crazy as your Buddy Pokemon, as well as dedicate loads of Rare Candies you obtain from Raid Battles specifically to it. Yeah, it will be quite a long journey to obtaining Wailord for most players playing Pokemon GO.

I generally disagree with most of your broken items, but I think it is because you know the Pokemon universe so well and might not appreciate differences that Pokemon Go presents. For example, Blissey didn't cause the gym re-works...Raids did. You mention Slaking as being overpowered, but he is one of the weakest gym defenders as he's insanely vulnerable to Machamp. Region Exclusives are awesome because of their uniqueness. What ruins them is the spoofers. There's multiple mentions of the game being too much work (level 40, magicarp, wailmer, Swablu), but that's part of the game. I'm level 39 and have been playing hardcore for nearly 2 years and am not turned off by having to work. ....then you go on to complain about Shinies being too common? Finally, you end with evolutionary items. You mentioned getting them for the 7 day streak, but underrepresented the importance. I've never been a loss for evolutionary items because I spin 1 stop per day.
