10 Things Absolutely Broken In Pokemon GO
Evolving Magikarp
When Pokemon GO was first released, players were shocked to find how much it cost to evolve Magikarp into Gyarados. Unlike every other Pokemon who can evolve that requires either 12 Candy, 25 Candy, 50 Candy or 100 Candy, Magikarp requires the unearthly amount of 400 Candy in order to evolve into Gyarados. Compared to all but two other Pokemon, this is the highest amount of Candy need to evolve any Pokemon within the game. As you may figure, it can take a very long time in order to evolve Magikarp to obtain just one Gyarados. Players must work long and hard to evolve Magikarp, from catching and hatching them to walking hundreds of kilometers with them as your Buddy Pokemon. Seriously, it is outrageous what will have to do to obtain one mere Gyarados (no matter how good of a Pokemon it is).
Now if you live near water or along a given ocean coast, you might be able to speed up the process of obtaining a Gyarados since Magikarp usually are popping up everywhere in these given areas. But should you not live near water or even, god forbid, in the desert terrain, then the grind to evolving a Magikarp into a Gyarados could take quite some time. These types of players are usually lucky to find just a few Magikarp in the Wild Pokemon, forcing them to walk hundreds upon hundreds of kilometers to finally have enough Magikarp Candy to evolve into just one Gyarados. These players are also sometimes forced into using their valuable Rare Candies they obtained through countless Raid Battles on obtaining Magikarp Candy just to evolve into Gyarados. It’s pretty insane what some players have to get a Gyarados, as well as a few other broken evolutions in Pokemon GO.
I disagree with all the 10 items.
This article is a joke.
I generally disagree with most of your broken items, but I think it is because you know the Pokemon universe so well and might not appreciate differences that Pokemon Go presents. For example, Blissey didn't cause the gym re-works...Raids did. You mention Slaking as being overpowered, but he is one of the weakest gym defenders as he's insanely vulnerable to Machamp. Region Exclusives are awesome because of their uniqueness. What ruins them is the spoofers. There's multiple mentions of the game being too much work (level 40, magicarp, wailmer, Swablu), but that's part of the game. I'm level 39 and have been playing hardcore for nearly 2 years and am not turned off by having to work. ....then you go on to complain about Shinies being too common? Finally, you end with evolutionary items. You mentioned getting them for the 7 day streak, but underrepresented the importance. I've never been a loss for evolutionary items because I spin 1 stop per day.
