10 Pokemon Sun and Moon Evolutions that Make Sense

Tied #7 - Espeon

Up next in our little countdown in Espeon, a Pokemon that if it should receive a Mega Evolution, would most likely mean the rest of the Eeveelutions would also receive one (like most fans want). Espeon was release with its Counterpart Umbreon in the Second Generation of Pokemon, in the game Gold and Silver. It was another offensive Pokemon that Eevee had the privilege of having for an evolution.

Like Volcarona, oddly enough, Espeon is also apart of the Sun Species. This is most likely because Eevee evolves into Espeon during the day when it has maximum happiness, and most likely explains why Espeon has the ability to utilizes the sun in its Hit Points regaining move of Morning Sun. It just makes sense for Espeon to finally receive a Mega Evolution, and it could even be an exclusive Mega Stone to Pokemon Sun.

Espeon is the first Pokemon in this list that we really see going in a different direction as a Mega Evolution. Instead of continuing to be only an Offensive Pokemon, we see Mega Espeon receiving huge boost to both of its defensive statistics. It will also receive a substantial boost to both its Speed and Special Attack Stats, but it will definitely have more of chance now to survive at least a few hits. We wouldn't be surprised if, should its Mega go in this direction, it had a decrease in its Attack Stat just to further help boost its defenses.

If, and only if, it receives more a defensive Statistical Boost, then the only ability that makes sense for it would be Magic Bounce. It could keep this ability, and would further cement its position as a bulky yet speedy Special Attack Pokemon. It would definitely be different, but some Mega Evolutions do throw a curveball every now and then.
