Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon

It's been reported by various sources, including Nerd Leaks that European Trademarks have been requested by Nintendo for the names and logos Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon.

It is being speculated at these games will be announced in the next Nintendo Pokemon Direct which is scheduled for tomorrow, February 26, at 16.00 CET/15.00 GMT/7.00 am PT and it will be broadcast on Twitch at twitch.tv/nintendo and Nintendo Direct website at nintendo.com/nintendo-direct.

However, we have just make a quick inspection of the domain names pokemonmoon.com and pokemonsun.com and it appears that have not been resgistered by Nintendo, but by others with Private registrations. This is an unusual oversight by Nintendo who should really have snapped these names up a long time ago. However, with the trademarks granted for the game, and also the ownership of the Pokemon trademark, I doubt it would be much of an issue for Nintendo to takeover those domain names should the rumour of these games be true.

Another thing to note, is that we don't entirely buy this story. The outlet that first published this news was a site called NerdLinks - To me, it looks like a pretty new site, with a low Alexa ranking - meaning it probably doesn't get many visitors to it. So pòssibly this is a FAKE STORY to gain some attention for this new website.
