Turn 10 Banks on Stormy DLC for Horizon 2

When Forza Horizon 2 first launched it did so for both the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, that caused a lot of gamers to scratch their heads. Mostly because it was also announced that the 360 version would be very different from the Xbox One version in both story and play style. The primary differneces being that it would receive NO expansion content, and NO DLC.

That meant that if you wanted car packs you had to go with the Xbox One - or so the community thought... As it turned out though, it meant a LOT more than that.

It may come as something of a surprise to the Forza Faithful, but Turn 10 has decided that expansion content is the best way to keep a game series like Forza Horizon vital and popular, and they are betting you will agree!

Putting their money where they mouth is, they recently unleashed the Storm Island Expansion for Forza Horizon 2 for Xbox One. The expansion costs $9.99 and offers players an entirely new set of races, challenges, and Achievements that take place on a tropical island that delivers massively unpredictable driving conditions by pushing the harsh weather effects exclusive to the Xbox One to the edge.

If it were just more of the same that would not be something to celebrate, but in addition to the above there is a whole new set of activities for players to sink their wheels into:

Brawl – A challenge for four-wheeled death wagons, in Brawl you race on off-road circuits featuring extreme terrain, lots of obstacles to take advantage of, and new smashables to wreck.

Cross Country Circuit – There are sprint races and then there are Cross Country sprint races - and in this case what you get is multiple laps in Cross Country Circuit events that will leave your heart in your throat! The name of the game is unpredictable challenges and multi-lap races that test your stamina and racing skills. Cross Country. Woot!

Extreme Cross Country – Yeah, you thought that the Cross-Country sprint races were challenging, did we forget to tell you that they took the concept and made it Extreme? Once you have played the Cross Country events in FH2 you think you have a handle on it - then you get to the island and you get its version and you STILL think you have a handle on it. Then you race THESE races, and you cry like a little girl. (If you actually ARE a little girl, well, sorry, our bad).

Gauntlet – Is there room in your life for the Gauntlet? Storm Island has it and it is legendary... Think point-to-point races held only at night, and during the sort of wicked nasty storms of a sort that they call Nor'easters around here... And you might just be getting the idea. Mates, winning these races takes more than skill - it takes bravery, guts, maybe a touch of insanity - and luck!

Rampage – Now a good Brawl is a good battle, but a Rampage? That's a war! Seriously, these point-to-point off-road sprint events will have you wondering why they only JUST got around to adding this into the game?!
