10 Non-Scary Halloween Games

9. Decap Attack Starring Chuck D. Head

Leave it to Westerners to take a Japanese game and completely turn it on its head. Decap Attack was originally a game based off the Magical Hat anime, and was not available for distribution outside its home country. So, developer Vic Tokai kept the same general gameplay and completely revamped the setting and graphics, turning what was a colorful, happy-go-lucky game into a Frankensteinish adventure.

So, in Decap Attack, you are Chuck D. Head, who has to go and stop Mad D. Cap, who somehow broke an island off into multiple separate pieces. The physics are a bit unique for games at the time, with Chuck having a real sense of momentum and cannot stop on a dime. Also, he attacks by throwing his decapitated head around. It's all very surreal.

Honestly, Decap Attack isn't the best game around, but it's a fun and interesting experiment in what happens when developers mess with a game's original art-style.
