Make sure you do all the substories in Yakuza: Like a Dragon as some of them will open up key mechanics when you complete them. They will also unlock most of the Like a Dragon's Poundmates summons for use in battle. Substories unlock throughout Yakuza: Like a Dragon's main story progression, some will be revealed on the map with a speech bubble icon on chapters 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 15. A grey speech bubble icon indicates an all-new substory that you will be starting for the first time, while a blue speech bubble represents a continuation of an existing substory. Some can substories can carry over across multiple chapters.
