Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Cheats and Tips

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is a role-playing game that is the third and final main entry in the Klaus saga of the Xenoblade Chronicles series. We have several cheats and tips that will help you to progress in the game which is exclusively available on Nintendo Switch.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Trailer

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 takes place in Aionios, a world resulting from the fusion between the settings of the previous two games. In Aionios, human life is subjected to ten-year lifespans, with each year referred to as a 'term'. Two warring nations, Keves and Agnus, engage in perpetual war with the purpose of extending their own lifespan.

As the story progresses six soldiers, Noah, Eunie and Lanz from Keves, and Mio, Taion and Sena from Agnus, gain the ability to merge into lifeforms called Ouroboros. Their journey is obstructed by the Consuls from each nation, which have the ability to transform into a lifeform similar to Ouroboros, called Moebius.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should always choose Nopon Coins as a reward and how to never get lost.

  • Always Select the Nopon Coins

Occassionally during your journey in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 you will encounter a group of enemies fighting one another. There will be a big red icon overhead, and you will have the option to choose which side you want to help and get the corresponding spoils in return. Make sure you always pick the side that gives you Nopon Coins as these are rare and will come in useful.

  • Never Get Lost

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a feature called Pathfinding which will help you get to where you're going without getting lost. You will be able to turn onto the recommended path by holding ZL and pressing Y on your controller to 'Show Quest Route'.

When Pathfinding is enabled a glowing red path will appear that leads to where your next objective is. Keep in mind that this feature does not work for custom-placed objective markers.

  • Use Fast Travel

Almost every time you discover a new part of the world in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 you will gain the option to fast-travel to it. Simply press X to open the main menu to open the map, so you can see the icons on the map.

Select the icon, keeping in mind the location and time of the day to fast travel. Take advantage of fast travel to quickly move around and complete side objectives quickly, or explore random dead ends without needlessly losing time to backtracking.

  • Tag Unique Monsters

You can tag the unique monsters that you encounter by simply targeting them, and then their region of residence will be added to your Soul Hack list once you unlock it later on in the game. This function is useful for picking up hard-to-find enemies that you have completely forgotten about.

  • Climb to Escape Enemies

Keep in mind that climbing during a fight will see enemies disengage and stop attacking you. This can be a useful life-saver when you're in big trouble and need to escape a confrontation.

  • ? Markers

Make sure that you always make a beeline for ? markers when you see them on your map. It is essential that you do this as they tend to be something good such as a Hero quest or a shortcut to unlock and make traversal faster.
