ABOUT
========================================================
This guide is to assist those players who enjoy collecting rare or unique
vehicles. This guide lists all known proofed, special property, unique, and
even rare vehicles (which often have to be unlocked). I'd say more, but I
pretty much just summed it up. Yes, this is the same preamble as my other
guides. Copy/paste FTW.

This guide was written for the Xbox 360 version! I do not own the PS2 or
Xbox version, but have heard that some content may have been cut. Due to
this, some of the information present in this guide may not apply to it. I
will mark known discrepancies where possible, but I cannot guarantee this
will apply 100% to the PS2 or Xbox original versions.

This guide owes huge credit to GTA_Loco's guide, which provided a lot of
important insights on vehicles, but which is unfortunately heavily outdated.

CAUTION! This guide may inadvertently contain spoilers of story missions!
While this guide's scope does not really involve spoiling anything, due
to what is required of it, the potential for small spoilers, such as
names or events, is present. Just keep that in mind.

Whenever a mission is listed, the employer is listed in parentheses next
to it. Vehicles are listed according to the name displayed when getting
inside, not the name some menus (such as Guerrilla and Rioja relation lists)
use.

*1* TERMS IN THE GUIDE
========================================================
This is a listing of all the special terms used in this guide.

BP - Bulletproof. This vehicle is immune to all forms of bullet attacks, such
as your guns, and mounted guns. It is still damaged by explosions and ramming
 it around, however.

DP - Damageproof. This vehicle will not take damage from bashing it around,
ramming other vehicles or obstacles, and so forth. This counts both
cosmetically and for its actual durability: it won't show damage nor take
actual damage from ramming and such. Bullets and explosions still affect it,
though. Note that while aircraft may be DP (and a gyrocopter in one mission
actually is), this only protects it against normal damage. The instant
destruction that aircraft are susceptible to in high-speed collisions is NOT
 prevented by being DP!

Description - A description of unique color/feature vehicles and WHY they
 are unique.

Discovered by - This is not necessarily the first person to discover
a vehicle, but rather the first person to report it to me. I will add
the original discoverer if I'm able to determine who originally found it,
 however.

Formulated by - This is who informed me of the strategy to obtain the
vehicle. Vehicles that were pointed out to be, but where I was given no
strategy to obtain it often lead to me developing the strategy, although
most will have the same entry for Discovered and Formulated by.

NOTE: Vehicles provided for you automatically, or set right in front of you,
have no formulated by listed, as there is barely even a strategy needed: just
get in and put it in a garage.

Free roam - This is what you do between missions. Anytime "NO ACTIVE MISSION"
is listed in the PDA's mission information option, you're in free roam.
Vehicles found in free roam may be found at anytime, regardless of mission.
There may be quirks to how it appears, or some condition that must be met,
however. They may also stop appearing after a certain point.

Invincible - An invincible vehicle cannot be destroyed or jacked by any means
whatsoever. The only one fitting this description is the Agency helicopter
used during extractions and heavy drops.

Isolated - An isolated vehicle is one that is found on a landmass, via a
story mission or some other such limited appearance, where it cannot normally
be found. However, these vehicles may be obtained elsewhere at any time,
whether they spawn naturally, or are unlocked. Either way, these vehicles
are special purely because they are found in a location that the vehicle
cannot be found in, or driven to. The normal location(s) of the isolated
vehicle will also be listed, as well as the province in which it is found
 isolated.

Jack - To jack a vehicle means to steal it. This is probably not a
necessary entry, but I figured I'd add it just in case.

Liberation - A liberation mission is where Rico and either the Guerrillas or
the Rioja conquer a settlement belonging to either the Government, or the
Montano Cartel. Although there are many of each, they are nonetheless
limited, as once all settlements are liberated, there are none more to take.
There are four types of liberations: Countryside, Urban, Military, and
Cartel. The first three are Guerrilla missions, and depend on the type and
location of the settlement. They each involve different objectives and have
different vehicles present. The last one is the Rioja mission, and involves
 conquering Montano mansions and estates.

Mounted gun - A mounted gun is a gun turret that someone can man, including
Rico. Vehicles usually have three potential versions: no mounted gun, a roof
mounted gun, and a rear mounted gun. The roof gun faces forward, with the
rear gun facing backwards. Often, one version is normal, with the others
 being unique.

Non-affiliated - This is used to designate a vehicle that is not affiliated
with any faction (listed in section 8). Normally the absence of a faction
would indicate this, but this is used if the vehicle in question is always
of a certain faction (such as the Huerta Mesa police SUV), but in one
specific instance, is available as a normal vehicle with no affiliation.

Normal locations: The places where an isolated vehicle normally spawns.

Phase - The game takes place in three phases. The first begins at the start
of the game, the second begins after completing mission 7, and the third
after mission 13. The phases affect the selection of various side missions,
liberation difficulty and vehicles present, and what level of police presence
and vehicles used in free roam.

Rare - This is used in the guide as an "unlockable" vehicle.

Resistant - A resistant vehicle cannot be saved in garages. Although they may
physically be placed in a garage, the garage will ignore it, and will not
retain it as usual. If a resistant vehicle is in a garage, the garage will
open like normal for other vehicles. All side mission special vehicles are
 of this variety, unfortunately.

Unique - This vehicle is unique and found in story missions only, or other
limited-time availability missions, and thus can be missed altogether. If
missed, it cannot be seen again unless the game is restarted.

Unlockable - This term in my guide denotes a vehicle that is only
infinitely available either through story missions and/or by unlocking it
at some point through the story, whether by completing a mission,
finishing a side mission, or even a vehicle that is only available during
a side mission, but is repeatedly available by doing the mission over and
 over at your leisure.

NOTE: For the purpose of this guide, and due to the absolutely massive game
map, any vehicle that will appear randomly on the road will not be considered
"rare," even if completing the story up to a certain point, and/or completing
side missions is required to allow it to spawn. Any that stop spawning after
a certain point will still be documented when possible, however.

In general, Guerrilla vehicles only appear in liberated provinces, Police in
Government provinces, while Montano and Rioja appear at all times.

Unobtainable - A vehicle that, for whatever reason, cannot be obtained and/or
 stored with its properties.

========================================================
*2* SAFEHOUSES AND LANDMASSES
========================================================
These are places to store vehicles, save your game, refill your health,
restock ammunition, and get vehicles if you lack one. All have one garage
that is able to store one vehicle. There are 48 in all, five from the Agency
(Rico's employer), 33 from the Guerrillas, and 10 from the Rioja Cartel.

Agency safehouses unlock as story missions are completed. Guerrilla safehouses
are unlocked after liberating provinces, which require them to be unstable
first. Provinces are destabilized by completing story missions, too. Rioja
points may be earned via Rioja-related collectibles (620 points worth), taking
over Montano settlements (mansions and estates - 30 per settlement, 45 total),
and Rioja side missions. Rioja side missions are available after the mission
"The San Esperito Connection" and may be completed at any Rioja-owned
settlement (requiring at least one takeover to be completed before doing the
side missions).

NOTE: You can use Safehouse garages before unlocking the safehouse! However,
that is the only feature that works. Health, ammo, and save terminals won't
work until unlocked, nor can you be extracted there.

GUERRILLA ACCOMODATIONS: Each Guerrilla safehouses offers various amenities
to Rico. These include a land vehicle spawn, along with possibly sea or air,
and a possible guard tower with a mounted gun. All courtesy of Master Gamer's
guide. Which vehicle appears is indicated by Rico's Guerrilla rank.

LANDMASSES: Three separate landmasses exist. These are the islands that are
interconnected by land. Vehicles obtained on one landmass cannot be driven to
others, as they are divided by water. This is largely a non-issue, as the land
that makes up a good 90% of the game is interconnected. The following are the
landmasses.

Initial Landmass: This comprises the two islands you begin the game on. There
is no bridge from these two islands to the mainland of San Esperito. The
provinces are Provincia Aguilar, Provincia de La Cruz, Isla de la Asuncion,
and Provincia de Rio Negro.

Main Landmass: This is the huge center area. Nearly all other provinces are
part of this general landmass, and any area can be driven to from any other
area. The only important province not part of this is listed below.

Southern Landmass: This is composed purely of Provincia Los Islas. There is
only one available safehouse here, Guerrilla 21, with only the spoils of the
two liberation missions (one being a military base, will preclude the small
town if done first) to store, along with local findings and heavy drops.

In addition, various small islands have no land connection to anywhere else,
however they rarely have anything of interest. There is a large island, the
province Isla Dominio, with military presence (a strong one!), but this has
absolutely no connection to anywhere with a garage, and therefore vehicles
there may as well not exist.

Basically, the beginning areas are separate from the rest of the game, as far
as garages and vehicles are concerned. There are 7 safehouses in the two
initial islands, with the rest on the main landmass, all connected by bridges.
And of course, one on the southern island, that can only store vehicles from
that island.

========================================================
*3* SPECIALLY COLORED/FEATURED VEHICLES
========================================================
These vehicles all have some special color of feature that the vehicle
usually does not have.

---------
3.1 - BP/DP Agency MV w/ rear mounted gun
---------
Mission: Devil's Drop Zone (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: *****
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: This is a dark blue MV with a turret on the back, and Agency
emblems on the sides and back of the cabin.

Strategy: Proceed with the mission until you are about 300M from the
destination during the mounted gun sequence (firing at enemy vehicles while
Sheldon drives). As soon as you begin turning off of the road onto a dirt
road, press Y and dismount the gun!

If done properly, after the cutscenes (when you have control of Rico again),
return down the road and the MV should be waiting there, next to a fence.
Proceed further down the road to the main (paved) highway and jack a vehicle.
Aim for something small but with a little power; the Wallys GP (Jeep) that
can sometimes be found is nice (but beware the military wanted level for
jacking it and especially killing the occupants).

Drive back to the MV and begin pushing it towards the garage. Line it up
straight (you won't get it in at an angle) and begin pushing into the garage.
With luck, the door opening won't push it away, and you'll get it inside. If
it starts vanishing and reappearing, it is in far enough for it to be driven,
so if it still jams the door, abandon the pushing vehicle and just drive the
MV yourself.

---------
3.2 - Guerrilla Yamada 37-14 Vaquero (1st of 2)
---------
Mission: Freedom Fighters (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A Yamada 37-14 Vaquero with green siding and Guerrilla emblems,
instead of the Agency 01 safehouse's purple, or heavy drop's gray.

Strategy: Guerrilla fighters sometimes spawn on these, having driven then to
the battlefield. Just take it to a nearby safehouse after finding it. This is
especially easy during the liberation of Merecure, as the Guerrilla's first
safehouse is right nearby. If none of these appear, restart the mission,
either by failing it, or loading a save from after Breakout. Note that failing
the mission and aborting AFTER liberating the first town may permanently skew
your stats, since the liberation will be counted, but when you re-liberate it,
it gets counted again.
Formulated by: Lancet Jades

---------
3.3 - Dark Green MV w/ rear mounted gun
---------
Mission: The San Esperito Connection (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A dark green MV with a mounted gun on the rear. It has no
affiliation or emblems. Others like this may be found elsewhere, but they have
roof mounted guns, not rear ones.

Strategy: Two of these escort the target's Fusilier Commander. To obtain one,
simply jack it somehow (grappling hook, car-to-car stunt, plain old jacking),
and finish the mission with it. It will be waiting outside the hotel at the
end, after the cutscene plays.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

---------
3.4 - Isolated Purple Vanderbildt Route 66
---------
Mission: Test of Loyalty (Edmundo)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A bright purple Route 66 truck. This is the Montano's purple, but
the truck lacks actual Montano emblems, possibly because it's meant to be
inconspicuous.

Strategy: This is waiting at the black dot in Isla de la Asuncion, as an
easy way into the rice mill. Head there, jack it, then take it to a garage.
Afterwards, either kill yourself to fail the mission, or just continue and
complete the mission. Alternatively, get some of the other vehicles in this
mission before killing yourself.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

Isolated location: Isla de la Asuncion.
Normal location: Provincia de Don Ernesto, Athena Palace settlement.

---------
3.5 - Purple Battaille GPT-6
---------
Mission: Test of Loyalty (Edmundo)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A bright purple Battaile GPT-6, which is usually a gray military
vehicle. The purple is the Montano purple, but it lacks any emblems.

Strategy 1: This is the coca truck at the end. Obtaining it can be a bit
tricky. All the coca boxes must be dumped. The first layer can be ditched by
jumping the truck off the stone ramp near the hangar where it's located (the
ramp is a black dot on the map). To ditch the second layer, ram stuff at high
speed. Drive off ramps and cliffs, drive on slopes, ram other vehicles. Once
all the boxes are out, the mission fails. Drive the truck to a garage and
store it.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

Strategy 2: Drive the truck to a garage, park it inside, and kill Rico.

---------
3.6 - Montano Shimizu Tumbleweed w/ roof mounted gun
---------
Mission: Test of Loyalty (Edmundo)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A bright purple Shimizu Tumbleweed with Montano emblems and a
mounted gun on the roof of the cabin. These are not normal Montano trucks, and
are only found attacking you in response to the attack on the rice mill.

Strategy 1: Wait for one to show up, kill the Montanos around it, and drive it
to a garage. This may be obtained at the same time as the isolated Route 66
and the Montano Battaile GPT-6, just make sure to get the Route 66 and
Tumbleweed in a garage, then fail to obtain the Battaille GPT-5. Note that
these Tumbleweeds ONLY appear inside the rice mill compound. Outside, normal
Montano vehicles pursue Rico.
Formulated by: Lancet Jades

Strategy 2: If the Montano pursuit makes taking this to a garage during the
mission a problem, just destroy the coca truck to fail (after getting in
a Tumbleweed, lest it disappear!), then drive to the garage without the
trouble the mission's wanted level brings.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

---------
3.7 - Military Fusilier Commander
---------
Mission: Some Like It Hotter (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A gray Fusilier Commander limousine with Military emblems near
the back.

Strategy: Pursue the limo convoy and seize the limo. Parachuting and using
the grappling hook is a good strategy, as is attacking others in the convoy
(consider the Mako Ocra), and hoping for the car to stop. The road leading to
Rioja 03 safehouse is en route to the volcano crater, making storing this and
finishing the mission easy. If you plan to get this and the military Apache
Army Model 842, take the bike, store it somewhere, then kill yourself. Repeat
the mission and take the Fusilier Commander. It's difficult to get both.
Formulated by: Lancet Jades

---------
3.8 - Non-affiliated Shimizu Tumbleweed w/ rear mounted gun
---------
Mission: Brothers in Arms (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Triggered explosives
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A randomly-colored Tumbleweed with a unique rear mounted gun.
These usually only have roof-mounted guns.

Strategy 1: This is sitting at the meeting site. To obtain it, play the
mission until you meet Esperanza, then drive until the target is about 160M
away. Get out and plant a bomb next to Esperanza's Tumbleweed. Now, run
towards the meeting site along the hill to the right of the road (this is
important!). Once you have the vehicle in view, detonate the explosives, and
make a run for the truck. Get in, and choose to abort the mission. You must
get in before the mission failed prompt finishes, or else it will vanish.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

Strategy 2: Play up until you've reached the meeting site and the battle
breaks out. Kill everyone near this vehicle and then blow up Esperanza's
Tumbleweed (use a Mako Ocra from one of the dead soldiers). Get in this car
quickly, and abort the mission when prompted. This is more dangerous (since
the enemies will respawn, and fire on you in the car), but faster and easier.
Formulated by: Lancet Jades

NOTE: There are several of these in pursuit during the chase, and Sanchez's
vehicle itself is this. Any of them will do just as well as the first one
parked at the meet, but unless you finish the mission inside it, it will
vanish upon completion.

---------
3.9 - Non-affiliated Meyer Compact PT w/ useless mounted gun
---------
Mission: Brothers in Arms (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Triggered explosives
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A randomly-colored Meyer Compact PT with a mounted gun in the
back compartment. The gun is non-functional, however, and only for show.

You must
get in before the mission failed prompt finishes, or else it will vanish.

quickly, and abort the mission when prompted. This is more dangerous (since

NOTE: Two of these escort Sanchez during the chase. Either one will do just
as well, but are more difficult to keep than the one at the meet.

---------
3.10 - Military Wallys GP w/ roof mounted gun
---------
Mission: Broadcast News (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A military-brand Wallys GP, nothing new there. Except for the
mounted gun on the roof. Normally, these have no mounted guns, except in
one mission and one military base, where they have a rear gun. This is
unique.

Strategy: After Caramicas finishes his speech, Rico is charged with
demolishing the radio tower. At this point, several soldiers appear in these
jeeps around the studio. Take one to the nearby Guerrilla 18 safehouse, stash
it in the garage, then return and finish the mission.

---------
3.11 - Agency Cutler-Randall Conquistador
---------
Mission: Some Enchanted Evening (Kane)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: This is the primary car used by both Rioja and Montano, except
this time it's in Agency blue, complete with the matching emblems.

Strategy: This is sitting right outside the trailer at the start of the
mission. Just drive it to a garage, then proceed with the mission.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

---------
3.13 - Military Huerta Mesa
---------
Mission: Some Enchanted Evening (Kane)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A military-color Huerta Mesa with matching emblems. Normally,
this is police-only.

Strategy: These pursue Rico as he leaves the airport. Simply jack one and
drive it to a garage. The mission ends when an UNLOCKED safehouse is reached,
but if he was in a vehicle, it will be waiting nearby after finishing.
Alternatively, just take it to Guerrilla 25 (near the airport) and drive
something else to finish the mission.

---------
3.14 - Black Hand MV w/ roof mounted gun (1st of 3)
---------
Mission: Streets of Fire (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A black-colored MV with a roof mounted gun and Black Hand
emblems on the side and back.

Strategy: This vehicle is used to escort the armored truck. Two of them flank
it. Just jack one and take it to a nearby garage. Be careful; they seem to
resist the grappling gun, so a car-to-car stunt may be required.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

---------
3.14 - Black Hand Mesiter ATV 4
---------
Mission: Streets of Fire (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A Meister ATV 4 armored truck with Black Hand emblems. Despite
that it's a Black Hand vehicle, it isn't actually colored black, though.

Strategy: This is the target vehicle. To obtain it, jack it and drive it to a
garage, store it, then kill Rico. The vehicle vanishes if the mission is
successful.

---------
3.15 - Black Hand Stinger GP w/ roof mounted gun (1st of 3)
---------
Mission: Streets of Fire (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A black-colored Stinger GP with a roof mounted gun and Black Hand
emblems. This seems the same as the one you are sometimes asked to steal in
Guerrilla side missions during phase 1.

Strategy: These join the pursuit once the armored truck (Meister ATV 4) has
been jacked. Just switch over to it and store it in a garage. May require
failing the mission, although Rioja 08 is close enough you could lead one
there, store it, and finish the mission.

---------
3.16 - Black Hand Fukuda Buckskin Trapper (1st of 2)
---------
Mission: Streets of Fire (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A black-colored Buckskin Trapper, which is a quadbike with a
roll cage around the seat. This means it functions more like a car than a
bike, as Rico won't go flying in collisions. This also bears Black Hand
emblems.

Strategy: These join the pursuit once the armored truck (Meister ATV 4) has
been jacked. Just switch over to it and store it in a garage. May require
failing the mission, although Rioja 08 is close enough you could lead one
there, store it, and finish the mission.

3.17 - Black Hand MV w/ roof mounted gun (2nd of 3)
---------
Mission: Dismissed Without Honors (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A black-colored MV with a roof mounted gun and Black Hand
emblems on the side and back.

Strategy: This vehicle is used to attack throughout the mission. Just jack one
and take it to a nearby garage (Guerrilla 33 is the closest, southwest of the
police HQ). Then continue with the mission. Be careful, there are military
vehicles in this mission too, so don't grab a commonplace military MV by
mistake. Do this BEFORE rescuing Esperanza, just to be safe.

---------
3.20 - Police MV w/out mounted gun
---------
Mission: Dismissed Without Honors (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: ****
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: This is a dark blue police MV with matching emblems, but without
the mounted gun on the rear that characterizes this vehicle. This is a very
unique vehicle, since the police don't normally use MVs in the first place!

Strategy 1: Carmona flees from the police HQ in this vehicle. Obtaining it is
fairly simple, actually. Just grapple onto his vehicle, reel in, and then
get in, kicking him out. Once he's out, the mission ends. After the game asks
to save post-mission, look to your right, and it should be sitting there.
Formulated by: GTA_Loco

Strategy 2: Obtaining this without passing the mission is MUCH harder. When
Carmona's MV is in sight, set a timed explosive on the vehicle with the girls.
Quickly grapple onto Carmona's MV and reel in. After the mission fails, get
in, and after choose to abort the mission, hopefully you'll still be in it.
If the initial bombing fails, just grab a nearby vehicle, catch up again, and
keep repeating until she dies.

---------
3.21 - Bronze Ballard Centronel AAWV - 21
---------
Mission: Sink the Buccaneer (Tom Sheldon)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: This Ballard-model tank has a heavy machinegun turret instead of
a rocket battery or cannon turret, like more common Ballard models. This
turret fires 360 degrees and can take out vehicles in just a few seconds of
fire. On top of that, it can't destroy itself with explosions like the others
can, although exploding vehicles will still damage it if in proximity. This
tank also has a unique bronze color.

Strategy: This tank is sitting in the corner of the small base where the
briefcases with launch codes are. Just jack it and take it to a garage, then
continue the mission. Be careful, the enemy soldiers will use this if you let
one get to it! This tank is not usually in that base, unlike most other
bronze military vehicles, so this mission is the only chance to get it.
Formulated by: Lancet Jades

NOTE: This is so big, it will likely not fit into Guerrilla or Rioja garages.
This means the only option is Agency garages, the closest of which is Agency
05. Prepare for a loooong drive.

---------
3.22 - Guerrilla Yamada 37-14 Vaquero (2nd of 2)
---------
Mission: Liberations - Countryside (Guerrilla, any phase)
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A Yamada 37-14 Vaquero with green siding and Guerrilla emblems,
instead of the Agency 01 safehouse's purple, or heavy drop's gray.

Strategy: Guerrilla fighters sometimes spawn on these, having driven then to
the battlefield. Just take it to a nearby safehouse after finding it. It is
possible to keep it and pass the mission, but vehicles have a tendency to
vanish post-liberation.
Formulated by: Lancet Jades

---------
3.23 - Black Hand MV w/ roof mounted gun (3rd of 3)
---------
Mission: Liberations - Countryside and Urban (Guerrilla, phase 3)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A black-colored MV with a roof mounted gun and Black Hand
emblems.

Strategy: The government forces sometimes drive these in countryside
liberation missions after entering phase 3 of the rebellion (after mission
14, Guadalicano Choo Choo). Find one and drive it to a garage. Just be careful
it doesn't get destroyed while leaving the liberation.

---------
3.24 - Black Hand Stinger GP w/ roof mounted gun (3rd of 3)

---------
3.25 - Black Hand Rotor industries ATRV w/ roof mounted gun
---------
Mission: Liberations - Countryside and Urban (Guerrilla, phase 3)
Difficulty: **
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A black-colored Rotor industries ATRV with a roof mounted gun
and Black Hand emblems. This is still a pretty unique vehicle, only otherwise
found in [army base] in military colors.

Strategy: The government forces sometimes drive these in countryside
liberation missions after entering phase 3 of the rebellion (after mission
14, Guadalicano Choo Choo). Find one and drive it to a garage. Just be careful
it doesn't get destroyed while leaving the liberation.

---------
3.26 - Non-affiliated Apache Army Model 842
---------
Mission: Free roam
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A randomly-colored Apache Army motorcycle. Usually these only
come in a light blue, the color of the ones used by police. This one's color
is chosen at random, and has no emblems whatsoever.

Strategy: These spawn at any Guerrilla safehouse between 700 and 1490 loyalty
points. After you hit 1500, these will stop appearing, so make sure to store
one in a garage before then! This can't be found anywhere, so it's unique
regardless of what landmass it's obtained on.

---------
3.27 - Dark Green Stinger GP w/ rear mounted gun
---------
Mission: Free roam
Difficulty: *
Required: Nothing
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A dark green Stinger GP with a rear mounted gun. This color and
lack of emblems is unique on a Stinger GP.

Strategy: These spawn at any Guerrilla safehouse between 2100 and 2690 loyalty
points. It must be stored in a garage before hitting 2700, otherwise it is
replaced with an MV!

usually have a mounted gun.

Strategy: These spawn at any Guerrilla safehouse between 2700 and 3690 loyalty
points. It must be stored in a garage before hitting 3700, otherwise it is
replaced with an Harland OTVW-2!

*4* UNOBTAINABLE SPECIAL VEHICLES
========================================================
These vehicles are unobtainable for whatever reason is listed. This can
include any vehicle type from the previous three sections, but as they
cannot be acquired permanently, there is no need to put them in those
sections.

---------
4.1 - Military Cutler Bullhorn
---------
Mission: Devil's Drop Zone (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: This Cutler Bullhorn van is light gray with military emblems.

Unobtainable: Several of these show up with soldiers. There is no way to get
it to a garage though, since the mission fails if Rico leaves the battlefield,
and does not give the opportunity to continue playing (Abort Mission).

NOTE: I once experienced a glitch where I could leave the battlefield and not
fail the mission. I have no idea how I triggered it, but it means there's a
small chance that this vehicle can be saved.

---------
4.2 - Agency Triereme - RC Athena
---------
Mission: Breakout (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A normal looking RC Athena, but with an Agency emblem on the bow.

Unobtainable: This is provided at the black dot on the map, but there is no
way to store a boat in garages.

---------
4.3 - Agency Triereme - RC Athena w/ rear mounted gun
---------
Mission: Good Cop, Bad Cop (Carmona)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: An RC Athena with an Agency emblem on the bow and a mounted gun
on the stern, pointing behind the boat.

Unobtainable: Used during the escape from the ship. There is no way to store
a boat though, and even if there was, there's no way to get this boat on land,
or even close.

---------
4.4 - Agency Delta SH4 Boxhead
---------
Mission: Brothers in Arms (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A dark blue Boxhead helicopter with Agency emblems. Has the usual
minigun and rocket armaments.

Unobtainable: Provided at the mission start point. There is no way to store a
helicopter in a garage, even though this one would fit in some garages
(especially Agency 05).

---------
4.5 - Black Hand Delta SH4 Boxhead
---------
Mission: River of Blood (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A black Boxhead helicopter with Black Hand emblems. Has the usual
minigun and rocket armaments.

Unobtainable: This shows up to attack during the assault on the train and the
ensuing battle. Unfortunately, there is no way to store a helicopter in a
garage, even though this one would fit in some garages (especially Agency 05).

---------
4.6 - Black Hand Pequod - Harpoon PC 350
---------
Mission: River of Blood (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A large black military boat with Black Hand emblems on it. This
is usually solely a military vessel, so a black version like this is unique.

Unobtainable: Boats can't be stored in garages, and even if they could, this
is too large for even the biggest garages.

---------
4.7 - Rioja HH-22 Savior
---------
Mission: Field of Dreams (Immaculata)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A yellow-green Rioja helicopter, complete with emblems. Normally
seen used by the military during phase 2 and later.

Unobtainable: Immaculata provides this helicopter in the parking lot of the
mountaintop club you meet her in. As it is a helicopter, it cannot be stored,
even in garages that could fit it.

---------
4.8 - Huerta SPA Ocelot w/ defoliant canisters
---------
Mission: Field of Dreams (Immaculata)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A normal Ocelot plane, rigged up as a cropduster with canisters
of defoliant under the wings. These can be activated like a weapon to spray
defoliant under the plane.

Unobtainable: This cropduster is sitting on an airfield in the Montano
compound. Unfortunately, aircraft cannot be stored in garages, and even if
they could, the wingspan would prevent saving this.

---------
4.9 - Montano Delta SH4 Boxhead
---------
Mission: Field of Dreams (Immaculata)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A Montano purple Boxhead helicopter, complete with emblems.

Unobtainable: This helicopter shows up to attack you after three coca fields
are destroyed. It may be obtained in the usual way (grappling hook), but
cannot be stored in a garage, as it's a helicopter.

---------
4.10 - Agency Huerta PAS1 Aztek
---------
Mission: Love is in the Air (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A dark blue PAS1 Aztek helicopter with Agency emblems and the
usual minigun.

Unobtainable: Once again, helicopters can't be stored in garages. If they
could, this would (barely) fit in the Agency 05 garage.

---------
4.11 - Agency HH-22 Savior w/ missiles
---------
Mission: Guadalicano Choo Choo (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A dark blue HH-22 Savior helicopter with Agency emblems. This is
sadly a VERY unique vehicle, as unlike normal HH-22 Saviors, it has missiles
instead of the minigun most are equipped with. Damn shame.

Unobtainable: Once again, helicopters can't be stored in garages. If they
could, this would (barely) fit in the Agency 05 garage.

---------
4.12 - BP/DP Military Whiptail Gyrocopter
---------
Mission: Guadalicano Choo Choo (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A very small single-person gyrocopter, used for quick escapes.
This one is gray with military emblems on the side.

Unobtainable: Otto Kleiner flies this as he escapes from the burning train.
Although you may grapple to it, you cannot jack it. After a while however, he
will land in a sandy area and disembark. It can then be taken. This is very
unfortunate, as this gyrocopter is also BP and DP, and would be the perfect
fit for the Eagles Nest garage.

---------
4.13 - Underwater scooter
---------
Mission: Sink the Buccaneer (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: The name says it all. This is a medium-speed scooter that can
travel underwater. This seems an incredibly unique vehicle, unfortunately.

Unobtainable: Boats can't be stored in garages. If you want to try, take it
to the Rioja 10 garage, beach it, and order a heavy drop to push it in. Don't
be too upset when it fails, though.

---------
4.14 - Military Mullen H45 Dragonfly
---------
Mission: Sink the Buccaneer (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: This is a civilian transport helicopter without any weapons.
Normally found atop Montano/Rioja mansions, this one is gray, with military
emblems.

Unobtainable: El Presidente Mendoza escapes his destroyer in this helicopter
once Rico approaches. It is only seen in a cutscene, and therefore there is
no chance to obtain it. It can only be seen well enough to know that it is a
Dragonfly, and has military emblems. Even if it could be flown, it can't be
stored in a garage.

---------
4.15 - Invincible HH-22 Savior
---------
Mission: Taking Out the Garbage Vol. 1 (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: This is a military helicopter, often seen in phase 2 and beyond.
This one has no emblems and is a dark gray color.

Unobtainable: Kane picks Rico up and takes him to Isla Dominio in this heli,
once the mission is started. It cannot even be flown, although if it could, it
couldn't be kept, since it's a helicopter.

---------
4.16 - Agency Jaeger SFJ 7
---------
Mission: Taking Out the Garbage Vol. 1 (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A small white boat, this specific one has an Agency logo on the
back and on the controls.

Unobtainable: This is sitting under the helicopter in the water where Kane
drops Rico off. It is meant to be taken to Isla Dominio. Being a boat, it
can't be stored, even if beached and pushed to one.

---------
4.17 - Black Hand Delta MAH-15 Chimaera
---------
Mission: Taking Out the Garbage Vol. 1 (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A large black attack helicopter with a minigun and quad missiles,
used by the Black Hand and with matching emblems.

Unobtainable: These are part of Mendoza's defense force on Isla Dominio, with
a penchant for launching missiles anytime Rico is inside a vehicle. Although
it is possible to steal one via grappling, it is a helicopter and cannot be
stored in garages, although it is much too large anyways. These replace the
normal Jackson Z-19 Skreemer helicopters that usually patrol Isla Dominio
outside of this mission.

---------
4.18 - Guerrilla military vehicles
---------
Mission: Taking Out the Garbage Vol. 1 (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: These are a special Guerrilla military unit deployed to Isla
Dominio to finish the war against the government. This includes the following
units, all in Guerrilla dark green and matching emblems:
-Ballard M5B1 Scout
-Ballard STRL - 14
-Ballard Centronel AAWV - 21
-Harland OTWV-2 Scout
-Harland OTWV-2 Rocket battery
-Harland OTWV-2 AA gun
-Jackson Z-19 Skreemer

Unobtainable: These form the Guerrilla's land forces on Isla Dominio, in the
final assault on El Presidente. Unique as they are, they are isolated on the
island, far from land, and farther from any garages, thus are completely
unobtainable. Even the helicopter is limited by the fact that it IS a
helicopter, and thus garages won't save it.

---------
4.19 - Agency Rage-Johnston F6 Comet
---------
Mission: Taking Out the Garbage Vol. 2 (Tom Sheldon)
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: A large fighter jet! This is a blue and white attack jet,
equipped with a machinegun and single missile launcher, with an Agency
emblem on each wing. This is truly a magnificent vehicle.

Unobtainable: Air vehicles are a no-no in garages, and even if they were
allowed, this is far, far too big to fit. Keep a save from after Vol. 1 of
the final mission so you can play with it on-demand.

---------
4.20 - Black Hand Huerta PAS1 Aztek
---------
Mission: Liberations - Countryside (Guerrilla, phase 3)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: The typical police attack helicopter, but black in color, and
with Black Hand emblems.

Unobtainable: Helicopters cannot be stored in garages, even though this could
barely fit inside the Agency 05 garage.

---------
4.21 - Black Hand Walker AH-16 Hammerbolt
---------
Mission: Liberations - Urban (Guerrilla, phase 3)
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A black military heavy assault chopper with Black Hand emblems
adorning it. Powerful and deadly.

Unobtainable: Helicopters cannot be stored in garages, although even if they
could, this is too large to store anywhere.

---------
4.22 - Invincible Agency Jackson JC - 2 Alamo
---------
Mission: Free roam
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: A large transport helicopter equipped with a minigun. This is
black with Agency emblems. This is the helicopter used whenever a heavy drop
or extraction is requested. It is completely invincible, incapable of being
destroyed by anything in the game.

Unobtainable: Helicopters cannot be stored in garages, and even if they could,
this is far too large to fit inside any existing garage. Plus, this resists
Rico's attempts to jack it. While the grappling hook will latch on, Rico is
unable to get into stunt position or otherwise commandeer it.

---------
4.23 - Bronze Jackson Z-19 Skreemer
---------
Mission: Free roam
Discovered by: Lancet Jades

Description: An attack helicopter equipped with a minigun and missiles.
Clumsier and slower than the Boxhead, however. This one has a unique pale
bronze color. It only appears at a select few Guerrilla safehouses between
1100 and 3690 points. At 3700, a Chimaera replaces it.

Unobtainable: Helicopters cannot be stored in garages, and even if they could,
this is a bit too large for garages anyways.

---------
4.24 - Black Hand military unit
---------
Mission: Free roam
Discovered by: GTA_Loco

Description: These are elite Black Hand military vehicles. As the name
implies, they are black, with Black Hand emblems adorning the side. This unit
resides on Isla Dominio and includes the following:

-MV w/ roof mounted gun (found elsewhere)
-Stinger GP w/ roof mounted gun (found elsewhere)
-Rotor industries ATRV w/ roof mounted gun (found elsewhere)
-Ballard M5B1 Scout
-Ballard STRL - 14
-Ballard Centronel AAWV - 21
-Harland OTWV-2 Scout
-Harland OTWV-2 Rocket battery
-Harland OTWV-2 AA gun
-Jackson Z-19 Skreemer
-Ulysses-McCoy Redcloud

Unobtainable: None of these can be transported back to the mainland, and are
thus isolated on the island. Although two of these (the Ballard Scout and
Sentry) are available on the mainland, it is only as a side mission target,
and thus resist garages. These appear at any time in the game, although only
the final mission will take you to the island. During the final mission, the
Jackson Z-19 Skreemer is replaced with the Delta MAH-10 Chimaera in Black
Hand colors. THESE STOP APPEARING AFTER COMPLETING ALL STORY MISSIONS!

========================================================
*5* UNOBTAINABLE SIDE MISSION SPECIAL VEHICLES
========================================================
These are the unobtainable vehicles found in side missions. There are two
types of unobtainable side mission vehicles: aircraft (which cannot be saved
in any circumstance), and "target" vehicles, which resist being saved in
garages.

---------
5.1 - Montano Huerta PAS1 Aztek
---------
Type: Either
Phase: Any
Aircraft

Description: A bright purple PAS1 Aztek, which is the chopper the police use.
This one is the Montano version, with a tiny Montano emblem on the nose.

Mission: These appear in any side mission where a Montano wanted level is
obtained, although they only actually show up at 3+.

---------
5.2 - Black Hand Stinger GP w/ roof mounted gun
---------
Type: Guerrilla
Phase: 1
Resistant

Description: A black-colored Stinger GP with Black Hand emblems and a roof
mounted gun.

Mission: This is the target vehicle Rico is asked to jack. It is to be brought
to a garage.

---------

========================================================
*7* MILITARY AND ASSAULT VEHICLE LIST
========================================================
This is a short list of the vehicles in the game with offensive capabilities,
including cannons, missiles, or machineguns. This does NOT count mounted guns
that require someone to use them. If not listed somewhere in the guide, they
are available at any time, mostly from military bases scattered across the
main landmass. A location will be provided for the more rarely seen vehicles.

With missiles, beware! NO vehicle in the game is immune to explosions, and
even the Ballard tanks will be destroyed by a few direct hits. Never fire the
cannon at point blank (or even nearby), otherwise you'll wreck the tank.

---------
TANKS AND LAND VEHICLES:
---------
Ballard M5B1 Scout: BP and DP by default. A basic tank with the expected
maneuverability and speed. It has a machinegun for quickly dispatching
infantry in front of it, and a cannon which can rotate 360 degrees to fire
in any direction, and often can angle up far enough to take down helicopters.

Ballard Sentry STRL - 14: BP and DP by default. This uses the Ballard tank
body, but instead of the rotating cannon, it has a rocket battery. This also
rotates, and lobs explosive shells much faster than the Scout can fire
shells. The shells lobbed arc towards the ground, however, and seem incapable
of hitting helicopters. One spawns in the middle of Caballeros Military Base.

Ballard Centronel AAWV - 21: BP and DP by default. This is a special version
of the Ballard tank available at the arms fair in the mission "Some Enchanted
Evening." Instead of a cannon turret or a rocket battery, this tank has a
heavy machinegun turret, capable of firing in 360 degrees. This poses no
risk to the vehicle itself, allowing the Centronel to eliminate enemies even
right next to it without damaging itself. Of course, it's useless against
other Ballards, though, since they are all BP. The heavy gun turret is
extremely powerful. It may also be found in a hangar

Harland OTWV-2 Scout: This is a more compact tank that looks crossed with a
truck. It has the same amenities of the Ballard Scout: a machinegun for
infantry, and a rotating turret which fires explosive shells. The big
difference is this has better speed and maneuverability at the cost of much
less endurance and no proofing. A Ballard tank takes several direct explosive
hits to destroy, whereas the Harland OTWV series can only take one or two.

Harland OTWV-2 Rocket battery: A combination of a truck and a tank, this has
a rocket battery turret instead of a normal cannon. This battery works the
same as the Ballard Sentry's works, lobbing explosive shells on an arc, and
also making it difficult to hit helicopters. The rate of fire for the rocket
battery is much higher than the tank. It also has a machinegun. One of these
is parked in the Las Crucitas Military Camp.

Harland OTWV-2 AA gun: The standard Harland tank shell with a high-powered AA
gun turret. This is the Harland version of the Centronel, it seems, and has
a higher degree of vertical movement to allow attacking helicopters much more
effectively. A bronze-colored one is parked in the Costa Verde Military Base.

GP Thunder Extreme Prototype: This is an interesting off-road vehicle. Fast,
maneuverable, and has a machinegun and single missile launcher. A good attack
vehicle, but the lack of bullet protection may make the tanks look like a
 better alternative in a firefight.

---------
HELICOPTERS:
---------
Delta MAH-5 Chimaera: A heavy assault chopper. Slow to maneuver, but fast when
it gets going. Equipped with the usual minigun, but also quad missiles,
which can destroy a vehicle in one volley. Found at the Rioja 10 safehouse,
and at Guerrilla safehouses after maxing your rank.

Delta SH4 Boxhead: A simple helicopter often used by the Guerrillas to patrol
liberated provinces. Also seen on helipads in some military bases. Equipped
with a minigun and single-shot missiles.

HH-22 Savior: This seems like the basic military helicopter. It is armed with
just a minigun, lacking missiles. It is fairly speedy and maneuverable,
possibly because it is not weighed down by missiles.

Huerta PAS1 Aztek: This is the Police's version of the HH-22 Savior military
chopper. Equipped with the same minigun, and again lacking missiles, this is
a common sight at high wanted levels. This chopper seems to resist attempts
to latch on after grappling, but it can be done.

Jackson JC - 2 Alamo: A huge transport helicopter with a minigun for armament.
This thing is big, slow, and clunky, completely ill-suited to combat. This
is also the helicopter that conducts the extractions and heavy drops when
 ordered.

Jackson Z-19 Skreemer: A larger helicopter, but mostly a clunkier version of
the Boxhead. It is much more commonly found in safehouses, though, such as
Rioja 04 and 09, and often in military bases too, so it may see more use.
Also has a minigun and single missiles.

Walker AH-16 Hammerbolt: A heavier assault chopper than the Chimaera, but
slower, too. This has the same minigun and quad missile launcher as the
Chimaera, and seems much rarer, too. Found on a helipad in La Perla Military
 Base, La Perla.

---------
PLANES:
---------
McKenzie-Fergusson F2 Victor: A propeller attack plane with twin machineguns
as weapons. A decent vehicle, but feels a bit old-fashioned without jet
propulsion. Not very useful in actual combat, either.

Rage-Johnston F6 Comet: This is one truly awesome fighter jet. Large and in
charge, the only real problem is this is only available during Taking Out
the Garbage Vol. 2 and 3. It is equipped with a machinegun and a single
missile launcher, so for sheer damage potential, the Redcloud outdoes it.

Rage-Johnston F10 Wraith: This is a large, well-armed fighter jet that looks
more like a cargo plane, at least on the ground. Its controls are much
stiffer than the Redcloud jet's, but aside from a machinegun, this sports
quad-missiles, instead of the Redcloud's dual launcher. One sits on the
runway of the Encarnacion Military Base.

Ulysses-McCoy Redcloud: This is a fighter jet! Fast, nimble, and armed with a
twin missile launcher, this jet can tear apart anything... provided it can
get a good shot off before blowing by the target. Find one at the airfield of
Quesada Military Base, or Los Islas Defence HQ.

---------
BOATS:
---------
Bald Eagle - Persuader: This is a sleek black boat, somewhat resembling a
Batboat from Batman. It has high speed and a jet engine, making it the best
boat. Additionally, it is equipped with a machinegun and a dual missiles
launcher, making it the best boat for assaults as well. Find it at Agency 02
or order one as a heavy drop (only when in water, though).

Triton - Broadsider: This is a large navy ship that is the closest to a true
military ship in the game. What it is also notable for is possessing a
single missile launcher resembling a cannon. It does not have a machinegun,
although its little brother, the Triton - Patroller also doesn't have one,
just a mounted gun. The Broadsider starts appearing in the ocean waters
in phase 3, and will always be there afterwards.

*8* VARIOUS NOTES ABOUT VEHICLES
========================================================
This contains various notes about vehicles and other elements of the game
that need to be explained or mentioned, but don't fit anywhere else.

---------
NON-SPECIAL VEHICLE LIST
---------
This is a quick list of non-special vehicles. Due to the fact the game map is
so massive, there are a lot of vehicles that appear in missions, but are not
actually special or unique, as they have a regular spawn point. Unobtainable
vehicles are not listed here, as they cannot be kept, and therefore are of no
consequence storage-wise.

This also includes other unique vehicles which only spawn in certain
locations in free roam. All vehicles in free roam are available at any point
in the game. Military bases are NOT listed, as they are covered in the next
section.

Bronze Ballard M5B1 Scout
A bronze-colored Ballard Scout tank. Spawns next to a small hut near an
X-shaped crossroads northeast of Rioja 04 safehouse. This is the crossroad
where the arms deal occurred in "Brothers in Arms." Look for a chain link
fence on the left side of the road, and head back into the forest beyond it.

Dark Blue Stinger GP w/out mounted gun
A dark blue Stinger GP without a mounted gun. Seems like Agency colors, but
has no emblems. Spawns in the Villa La Cantera settlement in Isla Maria
 Dolorosa.

Dark Green MV w/ roof mounted gun
The normal dark green MV, but with a roof mounted gun. Spawns in various
Montano settlements, one in Provincia Los Islas, and one in Costa Verde.

Montano Fukuda Buckskin Trapper
The quadbike with a roll cage in Montano colors. Spawns in the Montano's Los
Hidalgos coca plantation with a Montano wanted level, but seems to
specifically NOT appear during "Field of Dreams."

Montano Hurst Buckaroo w/ roof mounted gun (in "Field of Dreams")
Spawns in the Montano's Los Hidalgos coca plantation at anytime with a
 Montano wanted level.

---------
ISOLATED VEHICLES ON INITIAL LANDMASS AND SOUTHERN ISLAND:
---------
These are vehicles not normally special, but are because of being isolated on
the initial landmass (and where marked, southern island). The only way to
obtain these on those landmasses is to get one during a liberation, which are
in limited quantity.
-Military Ballard M5B1 Scout
-Military Harland OTWV-2 Scout (not isolated on southern)
-Military MV w/ roof mounted gun

In addition, all normal special vehicles during liberations (such as Black
Hand vehicles during phase 3) are also special on both of these landmasses.
Obtaining these on the initial landmass would require saving the liberation
of some of their provinces until after mission 14, when phase 3 begins. These
don't count as isolated, however, as they are special anywhere. They're just a
bit moreso due to the low number of liberations available on these landmasses.

========================================================
*9* MILITARY BASE VEHICLE LIST
========================================================
This is a list of all military bases, and the vehicles they have inside. There
is one base per province with a few exceptions. The initial landmass (four
total), Isla Dominio, and three heavily-populated provinces (the Int'l
Airport, and both parts of Esperito City).

*10* FACTION SUMMARY AND EXPLANATION
========================================================
This is a summary of the various factions in Just Cause and what appearance
their vehicles have, as well as various other facts. Vehicles listed with a
faction in the name means that it uses their color scheme and often, but not
always, emblems.

AGENCY
The Agency is the faction Rico works for. They provide a lot of the main
story missions, and provide the basic safehouses. Agency vehicles are usually
dark blue, with an Agency emblem on the top and/or side. The emblem is two
black lightning bolts crossing in a circle, with "AGENCY" written beneath
them. Most story missions are Agency missions.

GUERRILLA
Guerrilla vehicles are often dark green in color, with the Guerrilla emblem
(a half-gold, half-red star) emblazoned on it. They are the primary
opposition to the government, and will be the main occupying forces of
liberated settlements and provinces. Guerrilla safehouses become available
when an entire province is liberated. There is one per province, although
some provinces have no Guerrilla safehouse.

RIOJA
The Rioja Cartel is an ally of the Agency (and thus Guerrilla forces), and
will also provide assistance to Rico. They use yellow-green vehicles
emblazoned with the Rioja emblem, a circle divided into four sections. All
Rioja safehouse vehicles have this coloring, however a couple lack the emblem.
Rioja safehouses become available as Rico advances through their ranks, with
one unlocking per promotion.

GOVERNMENT/MILITARY
The Government is what the Guerrillas, Rioja Cartel, and the Agency oppose.
These vehicles, mainly military, are gray, with the military emblem, a shield
with an eagle motif behind it. They have an alternate mini-emblem of a white
eagle silhouette. These show up when Rico has a Government wanted level (the
right column). Government settlements may be liberated when the province they
are located in is destabilized via story missions.

POLICE
The Police may seem to be affiliated with the Government, but are different
enough to warrant a separate section. Police colors are blue and dark blue,
and their emblem is a large gold star (which is actually four smaller gold
stars in a diamond formation). They appear at lower counts of the Government
wanted level, and enforce day to day activities.

MONTANO
The Montano Cartel is the Government's ally, and main Rioja opposition. They
use violet-colored vehicles, with a small outline of a lightning bolt as an
emblem. Fortunately, their purple vehicles are distinctive enough as it is.
These show up when Rico has a Montano wanted level (the left column). Montano
settlements may be conquered for the Rioja after the story mission "The San
Esperito Connection." ALL may be liberated immediately after; the stability
of the province has nothing to do with it, nor do they affect the stability.

BLACK HAND
A mysterious terrorist group who use black-colored vehicles. Apparently has an
affiliation with the corrupt government. Their emblem is a black fist on a
white background, with an alternate mini-emblem of a skull. They have a
presence in (and on) the Isla Dominio province/island.

*12* FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
========================================================
Q: You missed [insert vehicle]!
A: Email me, and let me know. You will receive full credit for it.

Q: [Insert vehicle] doesn't possess a property you said it did!
A: Most likely, you did not follow the precise strategy. If you did,
and it does not retain its property, contact me and say so, although
I personally check each and every vehicle.

Q: [Insert vehicle] isn't special, but you still have it listed here!
A: Send me the info on where it can be found at any time (especially the
end of the game), and I'll adjust or remove it from this guide
 accordingly.

Q: One of the vehicles you listed is one I discovered first, and here's
 proof! Thief!
A: If you have proof you discovered a vehicle first, show it to me and
if I determine you really did discover it first, credit will be given.

*13* CONTACT INFORMATION
=======================================================
My screenname is LancetJades on GameFAQs.
If you wish to contact me, just email me:
lancet jades at g mail dot com
(remove the spaces, obviously, and replace the at with the proper sign)

Alternatively, IM me at:
AIM: Lancet Jades
YIM: lancetjades (not on often)
MSN: [email protected] (rarely on)

I never check my @hotmail.com address, so don't send mail to it.
I don't mind being contacted about this game, so don't hesitate if you
have a question or comment. But if you're gonna flame me, it won't
work (I'll just have a good laugh and ignore you). I also don't check my
yahoo email address, so don't bother sending any mail there either.

I'm a perfectionist, so if you have anything to contribute or correct,
please do so. You'll receive full credit (credit goes to the
screenname you talk to me from, so if you want another name, you have
to specify it). Even if you're pointing out a spelling or grammatical
mistake, please do so, no matter how small. Note however, I live in the
U.S., and as such, spelling it "color" instead of "colour" is NOT a
mistake.

If you wish to use this guide on your site, aside from asking my
permission, I require you in question to automatically fetch any
updates I make from GameFAQs.com yourselves. I only update to
GameFAQs.com and if I discover other sites carrying my guides have
out-of-date versions, I will ask that it be removed.

If you're unsure as to whether a vehicle not listed is special, email or IM
me about it! Make sure to tell me the vehicle name, what you think is special,
and what mission it is in. While I've checked most myself, the game is big
enough to make being sure of everything difficult. At the least, I can tell
you right away whether or not I've found it to NOT be special.
