You and your sister Rose are just doing your best to survive. After the introductory video you are given a small tutorial to help get you started in the world of Albion, and it will be your sister giving it to you. Listen to her and zoom in on Castle Fairfax as she requests. When she runs off follow her, after a brief talk with a shifty-looking chump, continue on to be treated with a scene involving a Trader and magic objects. When you regain control you will have to do some quests for gold. Go forward and talk to Derek, the guard he will tell you that he has lost five warrants. Head in the direction that he indicates to find Barnum the cameraman, talk to him and then pose for his photograph. Use any expression you like and youll be rewarded with your first gold piece. Continue down the side alley to see a bully terrorizing a dog. When instructed let him have it. Keep moving down the street and pick up the first warrant on the ground near the right hand wall. The second warrant is located in front of the first one, just to the left of the dumpster. Go up the stairs behind the dumpster and talk to the man who will ask you to kill beetles in the store house. After you enter the sneaky guy Rose talked to earlier will appear in the window and tell you to destroy the traders stock. It is your choice, either way you will be given another gold piece for your trouble and will receive 2 good or evil points depending on your choice. Go down the stairs and turn right, past the dumpster and you will see the third warrant on the ground in front of the dog and the fourth on the opposite side of the street. Pick both of them up and talk to the arguing couple, they want you to find some misplaced alcohol. Go back past the storehouse and into the alleyway in front of you. There will be a sleeping beggar at the end with the bottle. Walk slowly up to him so you dont wake him and take the bottle. Return to the couple for your reward give it to the woman or the man and be rewarded with a gold piece, +3 evil or good points and the final warrant. On your way back to Derek, the sneaky guy will appear again and ask for the warrants. Give them to him or to the guard for another gold piece and 5 good or evil points. Talk to Monty, across the street from the guard who wants you to deliver a letter to his girlfriend. Knock on the door and head in when invited, you can take the letter upstairs to Belinda or give it to her mother downstairs for the final gold piece and 1 good or evil point. Return to the travelling merchant and buy the music box. Follow Rose to a quieter location and use the music box. After a short scene, follow your sister to bed. Sleep and you will be woken in the middle of the night to visit Castle Fairfax. Follow your sister and accept the invitation. After a quick conversation, follow the butler and head into the next room to talk with Lord Lucien. When asked, stand in the circle near the window to complete your childhood with a story scene. ******************************** *** 2.2 BIRTH OF A HERO [BOAH] *** ******************************** Quest Description: Discover your destiny When you regain control, you will be all grown up. Head into the gypsies camp and pick up some items from your chest. Find your way to Theresa at the entrance to begin your quest. Head down the ramp and make your way to the tomb entrance on the island in the middle of Bower Lake. Use the seal on the door to open it and walk inside. Once inside, jump down the hole into the water, move forward onto the land and continue through the area. Kill the giant beetles in the room and collect the silver key on the right side of the room. Continue on killing beetles as you go until a room with a flit switch (looks like a floating orb), when it turns yellow, shoot it to open the door. Make your way through the door and continue into a flooded room, swim across to the entrance opposite. Go up the ramp and jump down onto the bridge. Continue along the path until you reach a room with a large circle on the ground and four torches. Stand in the centre and a flit switch will appear. Shoot it when it turns yellow, melee attack it when it turns blue and comes close to you and then shoot it once more to open the door. Follow this path into a large chamber and stand in the glowing beam. After the scene you will see a glowing red orb in front of you. The game informs you that you need to use will here so choose a will ability from the menu and then use your newly acquired skill on the red orb to open a Cullis Gate. Use the gate. Upon exiting the gate you will be attacked by a large group of beetles. Defeat them anyway you like and follow the gold trail to Bowerstone. Unfortunately, due to bandit activity the guards have barricaded the road. *************************** *** 2.3 THE BANDIT [THBA] *** *************************** Quest Description: Travel to the bandit camp and defeat the bandits terrorizing Bower Lake. From the barricade, turn around and follow the gold dust to the bandits camp. Enter the area and you will be ambushed. You will need to kill four waves of bandits to have the leader Thag appear. Defeat him to complete the quest. Go into Thags hut and open the chest for the key to the slave cages. Either give the key to the bandit outside or free the slaves yourself for 30 good or evil points. You have five minutes of free time before she appears. You can explore Bowerstone Market, buy some new items and make some gold by picking up a job - find the glowing exclamation mark to the Blacksmith and following the prompts. When Theresa arrives she will let you know, so when you are ready meet her by the clock tower. Walk with her as she talks with you and when she is finished return to the town square and continue down the road beside the blacksmith until you reach Bowerstone Old Town. As you enter the area, the guard or the crooked man from your childhood (whomever you gave the warrants to) will approach you and give you a discount for all stores in Old Town. Buy something if you will, and continue on out the big, stone gate to Rookridge Road. On entry to Rookridge fleeing traders will inform you of bandits ahead. Continue down the path, there will be a looter going through the wreckage. Kill him if you like and keep following the path. Walk to the end of the bridge and dive into the water below, swim to your left and exit onto the beach. Talk to Herman whose son has gone missing in the cave. He will tag along as you explore the cave. Travel through the Hobbe Cave until you see a Hobbe introduction. Defeat the group that attacks you and continue up the ramp, make your way through the tunnels at the top of the room until you come across a locked door. Herman asks you to find a way past it. At this point, the dog will walk off, follow it to another entrance. Go through the tunnel here and jump down to the next room and destroy the wooden barricade blocking the door in the water. Ascend the ramp and take the tunnel away from the previously locked door into a large room filled with Hobbes. Fight your way through them as you move up the ramp. At the top of the room, use the ladder to exit the cave and return to Rookridge. Fight your way upstairs and receive a new objective: Kill the bandit leader, Dash. On the top floor of the inn, head outside and down the stairs. At this point Dash will taunt you and run off. Go underneath the train tracks ahead of you and up the stairs. Defeat the bandits at the top of the stairs and continue onto the tracks. Turn right for a silver key, and then follow Dash in the other direction. At the point where the tracks are blocked, follow the path to the right until it rejoins the tracks. Kill anyone who tries to stop you and follow the tracks to the end. Look for a pathway that leads up the nearby mountain to a Stonehenge-like area. Dash will be trapped on top of one of the rock structures. Shoot him once to kill him and then return to Barnum in the Oakfield Inn. Rewards: Dashs Goggles Item: Barnums Thesaurus Renown: 250 Conclusion: You have defeated Dash's bandit crew. The bridge in Rookridge can now be rebuilt. The Sculptor in Oakvale, the Archaeologist in Fairfax Gardens in Bowerstone and Till Death Do Us Part from a ghost in Rookridge. You can also gain easy renown by showing your trophies off to villagers using the trophy expression or getting married. When you have enough renown, return to the Abbot in the temple to resume the quest. Walk with him as he speaks and when he is done, make your way back down the hill, and follow the path towards town. When you get close to the cave you will hear singing continue in the direction to find the monk. After a brief introduction, head down the stairs and into the Wellspring Cave. The cave is fairly straightforward and linear, so follow the passage all the way through to the central chamber. There are three doors in the room, and you must go through each of these in turn to collect water for the ritual. After Hannah steps on a pressure plate, the first door will open. Follow the tunnel to the room at the end. There is a silver key behind the raised platform in this room. Collect it, then climb the stairs and stand on the right-hand blue pad. Hannah will stand on the other pad to collect the water. Upon exiting this room, you will be attacked by a new enemy type - hollow men. You will need to fight through a room full of these guys to return to the central chamber. When you do, Hannah will stand on the second plate and the second room can be accessed. This room has the same objective as the last, this time however, you will stand on the raised pressure plate at the back of the room overlooking Hannah and you will have to defend her from hollow men using will or ranged attacks as she fills the container. After four waves of three hollow men, the ewer will be filled. Head back to the central chamber. After a quick scene, the third gate will open. Following the tunnel here will lead you into a large room populated by hollow men. After dispatching five waves of hollow men, a headless hollow man will appear. He is similar to the others but can use the will power shock if you get too close. When he explodes into nothingness, the door to the final room will open. After a brief scene introducing highwaymen as a new enemy, you will have to face a pair of them and a large number of bandits. After you mop them up and explore the area, head out of the camp to Westcliff Road. Like the previous area, simply follow the path. After a short distance you will be attacked by a pair of balvarines. Kill them and then follow the path around to the right after you encounter two more balvarines, take the right path when you reach the fork. Keep going to encounter a frightened woman and a scene. Take the left and cross the bridge. Turn to the left again and climb down the stairs, follow the path down the hill into a misty swamp area. Head to the middle of the room and follow the spike pit to the left to find a weak pillar. Use the look button when prompted, and then fight off some more balvarines. Hammer will now go and push it down, and at that moment, Lilith, the balvarine leader shows up. Lilith is nothing special and is the same as a normal balvarine with a lot more health. Kill him and head across the newly formed bridge and through the door. Go up the stairs and through a debris filled room into a circular chamber. Follow the spiraling stairs upwards pick up the silver key in the alcove in front of you, then head around the walkway to the open gate. Continue through to the exit. Walk to the top of the stairs and talk to the man. After the conversation, head through the door into The Cruicible. Before the action heats up, you are stuck with a host of other challengers in the staging area. You should buy some potions from the trader and upgrade to new weapons if you can afford it. When you are ready to go, move close to the door to trigger a conversation. When you are able, ascend the stairs to start the Crucible. The Crucible consists of eight floors filled with different types of enemies that you need to dispatch in order to continue. After the third and sixth floors you will be able to re-stock potions and supplies from some conveniently placed traders. Each floor has a target clear time; if you can defeat all the enemies on the floor within the allotted timeframe you will be awarded a perfect round. If you get enough perfect rounds, you will be able to earn better rewards on completion of the Crucible. Completing the Crucible with eight perfect rounds will net you a legendary weapon - The Chopper (Axe). First Floor Target time: Three waves of beetles increasing with number with each wave. This should be an easy level to score a perfect round on, just take them out with whatever way you feel comfortable. Second Floor: Target time: 1:50 There will be three waves of Hobbes consisting of both the melee and ranged variety. There is also a blue pressure pad at either end of the room which will activate the spike trap in the center. Third Floor Target time: 2:25 This floor consists of more Hobbes, this time the room is a little larger with a big hole in the middle. Fight near the hole and venture out to destroy stragglers when the bulk of them have been defeated. Fourth Floor Target time: 2:30 There will be three waves of hollow men. This should be another easy one to get a perfect round on, simply defeat all of the hollow men within the generous timeframe. Fifth Floor Target time: 2:10 This room will challenge you with bandits. The room consists of a elevated path in the middle of the room and a hill leading up to it from behind. As soon as you enter the room, climb the hill and kill the bandits at the top, get onto the bridge as soon as possible and wipe out the archers. Use the explosive barrels here to take out several enemies at a time. Stay on the bridge for the next to waves. Sixth Floor Target time: 2:30 This rooms enemies are bandits again. The room itself is comprised of a central circular platform and a walkway around the outside separated by a cliff. In the centre are three pressure plates that will cause fire to burst from the walls causing ranged attackers to bandits to fall to their deaths. Stay on the central platform and fight off the melee attackers whilst switching between the three switches to defeat them all quickly. Seventh Floor Target time: The seventh floor gives you nine balvarines to play with coming in waves of three. This should be an easy one to score a perfect on. Just beat them down with will power or your sword. Eighth Floor Target: 1:50 The final floor is a fight with a troll. Shoot his weak spots with ranged attacks or will powers when they appear. When you get it down to 50% health, Hobbes will start to show up. Try to ignore them and focus on the troll as the round will be completed when it falls. Rewards: Crucible Trophy Renown: 10000 gold pieces Title: Lionheart After completing the final room, use the Cullis Gate to return outside. Talk to the commentators, who will congratulate you, and then head downstairs to be reunited with Hammer. After a short scene Hammer will run off to the docks nearby. ****************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** *****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING***** You are about to encounter a point of no return in Fable 2. Completing the aforementioned tasks will yield some additional side quests and rewards later on in the game. *****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING***** ****************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** *************************** *** 2.13 THE SPIRE [THSP] *** *************************** When you are ready to continue with the story, meet up with Hammer and head down to the docks. Talk with the ship captain and agree to start the quest, they will strip you of your armor, your weapons and your dog. All of which Hammer will look after until you return from the quest. Agree with the pirate to watch a brief story-scene. When you regain control of your character you will be inside The Spire with a group of other people. Behind you, guards will start herding you forward, so follow the crowd towards the light in the distance. When you reach the end you will see another story scene. You will awaken to an informative guard who will give you a little information about the Spire and your place in it. After his spiel, you are free to move around. You need to report to the commandant, so head straight out of the door in front of you, and out the door on the opposite side of the room. Follow the path until you reach a prison area. You will encounter Bob, one of the people who came with you on the boat. Follow him and he will take you to Garth. Afterwards, head through the opened door and up the stairs to the right; follow this hallway to the end to enter the commandants room. Walk close to him to trigger a scene. Do what he says using the appropriate expression or you will lose experience. The game will jump to week 38 and it starts with Bob blathering on again. You will be told to go to the prison and will be given the task of guarding the prisoners. You can choose to either feed the prisoners or let them starve. The choice is yours. Feeding them will give you 30 good points per prisoner, but you will lose any unused experience. Letting them starve will net you 30 evil points per prisoner. You are given 3 minutes to make up your mind. The next scene is in week 138 and you are told report to the commandant. Make your way back to the commandants room and following a brief scene, he will give you a sword. If you attack the commandant you will be given 10 good points but lose experience. Killing the other guard will earn 50 evil points. ***************************************** *** 2.14 THE HERO OF WILL PART 2 [HOW2] *** ***************************************** After the scene, again report to the commandant. He orders you to investigate a missing guard. Leave the room and take the left set of stairs on exit. There is only one path to go from here so follow the tunnels until you find the guards body. Search the body to pick up a gun, a sword and some potions. Shortly thereafter your collar will be removed and you will be able to use will powers again. Escort Garth back to the commandant, unfortunately, all the guards in The Spire will now be hostile and attack you on site. Fight your way back to the commandants quarters and investigate the back window with Garth. The commandant will then appear. When he has finished talking, walk into the electrified ring at the bottom of the stairs to fight him. He will summon guards, teleport from time to time and use a ice spell to attack you. Avoid his attacks, kill his guards and beat him down when you get the opportunity. After defeating the commandant, Garth will activate a Cullis Gate. Use it to teleport to the docks. Fight your way down to the boats in the distance. There will be a lot of enemies between here and the ships but as Garth will help you out this time, there isnt anything that you shouldnt be able to handle. When you reach the ships, simply run on board to escape the Spire. You will regain control on the docks of Oakfield with Garth, after a quick conversation and a reunion with your dog. Move forward and talk with Theresa. She will chat with Garth and return all your equipment. She will also inform you to go and meet up with Hammer who is currently at the Rookridge Inn. After a short while, Theresa will ask that you return to the Heros Guild. Following the story sequence, we find out our new objective, returning to Brightwood Tower to use a Cullis Gate. When you are ready make your way through Bower Lake back to Brightwood. Follow the path down the hill to a locked gate where Garth and Hammer are waiting for you. Garth knows of an alternate entrance to the tower, so follow his lead you will eventually reach a statue on a hill overlooking the entrance. After the conversation, once again follow Garth. You will have to fight quite a few Spire guards so if you have any trouble, just stay close to Hammer and Garth and they will assist you. When you reach the top of the stairs, and you pass through the giant archway, a Spire shard will attack you. Defeat this and head round the corner. Defeat another two groups of Spire guards for safe entry to the tower. Once inside, head up to the roof to start a scene. Garth will activate the Cullis Gate, and will be unable to defend himself. At this time, another shard appears and summons a large number of enemies to try and disrupt Garth. You must protect Garth as he opens the portal. The enemies will originate from the stairs that you came from and the tower opposite. Initially the enemies will consist solely of melee Spire guards, but as Garth gets closer to completing the portal, you will be attacked more and more frequently by both melee and will using Spire guards. Unlock the cage and move down the hill into the water and through the archway into the swamp. Follow the dirt path up the hill on the other side. Follow the path to the left, past the house on your right and continue down the hill. Here you will be introduced to a new enemy - the banshee. Kill its little friends to make it vulnerable and then damage it. When you have dealt with her, continue to through to the other side, up the road to the left and across a bridge. Follow the path all the way up the hill and down again until you cross a stone bridge. After the bridge, continue through the Iron Gate and hang a left down the stairs and into a graveyard. After a fight with some elder hollow men, take the path out of the cemetery, down the hill, across the bridge and back into the swamp for another banshee encounter. Afterwards follow the path up the ramp over the boardwalk and back into the water to fight a troll. After killing it, ascend the dirt ramp behind him and cross the bridge. Follow this path to the iron gate, open it and then continue through a second gate across from the first. Walk into the tomb-like building at the end of the path to reach Bloodstone. *********************************** *** 2.17 THE HERO OF SKILL [HEOS] *** *********************************** Quest Description: Recruit the Hero of Skill Follow the path to discover the town center and as you descend the hill into Bloodstone, you will be prompted by Theresa to look at a point of interest - Reavers House. Make your way here, head inside and talk to Reaver. Reaver will tell you to go away and to come back when you are more recognized. You will likely not have earned enough renown to impress Reaver yet (the magic number is 20,000 renown) so it is time to go and earn some through side quests. There are a few new ones available with big renown rewards including: Treasure Island of Doom! (7500 Renown), Rescuing Charlie (5000 Renown), T.O.B.Y(4000 Renown), Love Hurts (8500 Renown), Something Rotten (3500 Renown), Brightwood Tower (3000 Renown) and Evil in Wraithmarsh (4000 Renown). For more information on doing these quests, check out the side quests section. Once you are famous enough, return to Reaver. After the conversation, pick up the seal off the desk nearby and exit the mansion. The fastest way to complete this objective is to fast travel to the Drowned Farm in Wraithmarsh. The banshee will have returned, so kill her and then continue on past the left path that we used earlier to get to Bloodstone and look out for a doorway on the right. Use the seal to unlock the door and enter the Shadow Court. Follow the passage downwards until you reach a room filled with shadow monsters. Destroy them all. Take the stairs down and walk to the end of the hallway. Turn right and time your run across the spikes, step on the pressure pad to open the gate. Continue on into another large room. You will now have to fight four waves of shadow creatures ranging from Hobbes to balvarines. After defeating them, the gate will open, drop down the hole behind it and follow the passage to the end. After a brief chat with Elizabeth, and an explanation of your purpose here, you will have about 20 seconds to decide whether yourself or Elizabeths youth will be sacrificed. Giving the seal to Elizabeth will give you 50 evil points, if you hold onto it; you will receive 50 good points. Whoever is holding the seal when the time runs out will be transformed. If you decide to hold onto it, the process is irreversible so consider the consequences. After you have made the decision, go up the stairs behind you, take the left exit out of the large room and go through the door to return to Wraithmarsh. ****************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** *****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING***** Before you return to Reaver, you should do any side quests, purchase any weapon upgrades and make any character adjustments you feel should be done, because as soon as you enter Reavers house, you will be unable to do anything else until you have completed the game. *****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING****IMPORTANT****WARNING***** ****************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************** ************************************ *** 2.18 BLOODSTONE ASSAULT [BDAS] *** ************************************ Quest Description: Leave Bloodstone with Reaver When you are ready to continue, return to Reaver in Bloodstone. When you are back in control, follow Reaver into his hidden escape tunnel. Make your way through the initial stages of the area and as you reach the first large, open area you will be attacked by a large number of Spire guards. For the ranged attackers, if you have learned the free-aim ability in dexterous styles you will be able to shoot the explosive barrels close to them to take two or three guards out at a time. You can climb the ramps on both sides of the rooms for treasure, but to continue with the game, you must proceed through the tunnels on the main floor. Continue through the tunnels and another enemy encounter before you reach the next open room. Head down the right fork killing any melee enemies that get in your way and picking off the ranged attackers on the overhead bridge when you get the chance. Continue under the bridge and take the right fork and follow the passage upwards until you are standing on the bridge you previously went under. You will be attacked by lots of ranged attackers and a few melee guys will come at you from behind if you are unable to kill them as they run below you. When the enemies dry up, destroy the barricade at the end of the bridge and once again follow Reaver. Continue through the tunnels until you find the exit onto Smugglers Beach. Now you are reunited with Garth and Hammer and after a fairly lengthy conversation sequence you will be confronted by a Great Shard. This thing is fairly nasty as it will fire off a damaging death laser with an explosive effect and will frequently summon large numbers of magical and melee Spire Guards, when it reaches about 1/3 of its health, it will summon smaller shards to attack you in addition to the guards. The Great Shard can only be hit easily from two raised areas, the hill on the left side of the beach and the raised dune on the right side. You will have to kill all of the enemies first and then wait for Garth to bring out the weak spot - which we need to hit. So aim for and shoot the glowing white crystal when it appears in order to damage the shard, When it is being attacked, it will begin shooting its death laser, it is easy to avoid but doesnt give you much time to damage the shard. After a few minutes, it should be history. Rewards: Shard Shard Renown: 10000 **************************** *** 2.19 THE WEAPON [THWE] *** **************************** Quest Description: Meet Theresa in Bower Lake After you have destroyed the Great Shard, an appearance from Theresa and some heated conversation Reaver will finally join you. After shooting the switch, it will disappear into the pipe and reappear out of another, hit it again (with will or ranged - whatever it requires) and it will do the same again. Do this five times and the door will open. This room can be frustrating and a little difficult as the time between switches decreases between hits, If you have too much trouble, put slow time in your second slot and charge it up as soon as you hit the target, it should give you enough time to nail the next one before it escapes. Descend the ladder, and make your way through the tunnel until you reach an open area, a short scene will introduce you to the yellow shadows. When it finishes head straight forward to the edge and use your ranged weapons to kill them and free the villager, he will then run over and pull a lever to open the door up the ramp nearby for you. As the door opens a flitswitch will appear, shoot it and follow it through the tunnel, shooting it as you go. When you reach a small lake, it will dive under water, swim out to the bubbles and dive into the next area. Head straight ahead and shoot the flitswitch ahead of you, follow it into the next room, and shoot it once more - it will fly off and you will be attacked by blue shadows. Fend them off and continue down the hallway after the orb. Continue following and shooting it until you reach a ladder, it will fly up and out of the well, so climb up after it. Outside, shoot it twice more and it will open a locked gate. Follow the path forward under the bridge and take the first right before you reach the village area. Continue along the path until you encounter some red shadows holding another villager hostage. Kill them and talk with the school teacher, she will let you know that all the kids have run away. So we have to go and find them. Head back along the path we came from and turn right at the end and head into the village area. Enter the first house on the left. Make your way upstairs and kill the red shadow here to save child 1/5. Exit the house and turn left go behind the building next door next to the ocean to find a red shadow to kill to free child 2/5. Continue along the waterfront until you encounter another red shadow. Eliminate it to free child 3/5. From the third shadow, turn right and head between the buildings to find and kill the next red shadow, freeing 4/5. Continue along the cliffwall to the right and climb the stairs. At the top you will see the final red shadow on the beach below to the left, kill it to free child 5/5. Return to the school teacher. The school teacher will give you a red seal. Take it back to the yellow iron gate. Just before you reach it, turn left, you should see a bright red door. Use the seal on it to unlock it and head inside. Make your way through the dungeon. Each time you enter a large room you will be attacked by shadows, the first room has red and blue shadows, the second has blue, next is yellow, then red. After fighting your way through those encounters, you will be at the final area. Go through the door and you will see three shadow cultists imprisoning another villager. We need to kill these guys to free the dude inside and complete the quest. Its not that easy however. You will be attacked by a large number of all three types of shadows at once. After you have killed all the shadows of a specific character, one of the three shadow cultists will become attackable, once all three are dead, color is restored to the world. Huzzahs are in order! Return to Murgo in Bowerstone. Renown: 150 *********************************** *** 5.2.2 The Costume Party [TCOP]*** *********************************** Description: Solve the riddle of the cursed skull Location: Murgo the Trader in Bowerstone Go down to the docks in Bowerstone and talk to Murgo the Trader. He will offer you a magical Skull for 5 gold pieces. Purchase it and then go into your inventory. Using it will teleport you inside. From the start spot, head forward and have a chat with the talking altar. The altar wants you to bring wisps to it so it can bring the guy inside back to life. Do a quick 180 and head out through the gate, as soon as you are through it turn to the right and open the sarcophagus to pick up the hollow man suit. The wisps we need to bring back to the altar will only follow you if you are wearing this suit, so put it on. Follow the path down to the iron gate, and with the suit on, use the roar expression near the statue here to open the gate. Continue through the open gate slightly to the left and down the stairs. You will arrive at a small, locked crypt. Unfortunately we cannot open it just yet. We need to obtain the proper costume to activate the statue to unlock the door. To the left of the crypt is some destroyable foliage. Hack it and continue through, follow the stream into the marsh and make your way to the locked gate. A poison balvarine will emerge from the brick silo to the right, after dispatching him you will be set upon by 8 or 9 more. Kill them all and the gate will open. Open the chest for the Balvarine Suit. Put on the Balvarine costume and head back to the crypt. Use the growl expression on the statue to open the door. Put on the hollow man suit and lead the wisps here back to the knights grave back at the starting area. Return to the first gate and turn right once you are through it. Wearing the balvarine suit, use the growl expression on the statue to open the gate. Follow the dirt path down the hill and destroy the hobbes guarding the cave at the end of the trail. Enter the mysterious cave. Make your way through the pair of destructable wooden gates and smash the faces off a group of hobbes that ambush you. Once they are all dead, head up the ramp to the left, follow the path to the end and open the chest for the hobbe suit. Put it on, return to the room below and walk to the hobbe statue. As you aspproach a ghostly hobbe will appear and follow you. Take it to the big rock at the back of the room impeding your progress and it will blow it up for you. Continue through the passage behind it and jump down into the room below. Fight off the hobbes that surprise attack you. Afterwards have a look around, the room you are in has a big acid pool in the middle with no way across....yet. Walk up to one of the hobbe statues. Direct the ghostly hobbe that appears to the rock at the back of the room opposite the green death fluid. Once the obstruction is gone, enter the alcove and use the hobbe statue here, a ghost hobbe with stilts will appear, run over and stand on the bank of the death fluid closest to the blue pressure plate on the floating platform. Once the hobbe crosses the water and hits the switch, the room will be cleansed. Head across the river and use the point and laugh expression on the hobbe statue to open the small crypt. Put on the hollowman suit and pick up the wisps. Exit via the stone stairs next to the crypt. Return to the statue at the start with the wisps and prepare for a fight. Its a trap! Now you will have to fight the Necromancer! This bad guy is similar to the Commandant in the citadel, but rather than summoning guards, he will continue to raise an endless number of zombies whilst tossing some high level magic at you. He will teleport quite a bit so melee attacking isnt the most effective method for taking him down. Instead charge up a slow time spell and then hit him with a volley of low level magic or ranged weaponry. If you can manage to charge up a level 5 fireball or lightning bolt and hit him with it, it will kill him pretty much instantly. With his death, you complete the quest.
