Hi I am just wondering if it is true that this disk for this game can mess up and the shops don't take it back/

It can, like any game. If you have your reciept, and it's obvious you haven't mistreated it, you should be able to swap discs with another.

They don't tend to give refunds anymore though.

Well these days the only way to get a disc exchanged for a new one is by having to pay an extra $5 or something to exchange for a new one. Well I know you can do this at EB Games, not sure about other stores. I hoped this helped.
