It depends on what you like, because if you like online multiplayer Battlefield2 will be you best option, however if you want single player action get Tom Clancys Ghost Recon:AW.

Battlefeilds a huge dissapointment if you're an offline gamer and GRAW is amazing on and offline. Get Recon ;)
Well, battlefeild 2 is good for online play, while if you don't have live, and you still want to play with you're friends then choose GRAW(Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter). Also GRAW is a good live game with 16 people in one game.
