No no no!!!! All wrong!!! I don’t know how but my ending on red dead I walked out the front and I wasn't shot!?!?! The guy gave me something and left me alone and I didn’t run out the back the game has an ending were John lives!!! I’ve done it. Can’t believe I’m the only person it seems

Well, there is a slight alternate ending if you bought the Undead Nightmare DLC. John will always die from the FBI, but the DLC changes something a little to the very end.

If in regular RDR, then you can always do the side mission "Remember my family, giving you a duel against Edgar Ross, where Jack will kill him.

No but like that you sead in undead nightmare you get something at the end it's bull but john dies then jack takes his place but unlike john jack is alone so I suggest you get out there with john before the mission the last enemy shall be destroyed that is were johns legacy ends and jacks legacy begins I still think johns my favourite character though oh and undead nightmare is a full game on disc now so you don't have to buy a dlc

It's simple. Turn off your console without completing the mission the last enemy that shall be destroyed but after completing the outlaws return mission
