Why does my Xbox 360 controller lose connection while I am playing?

That is a complicated question - it could be weak batteries, it could be radio pollution from a device in your house that is too close to the frequency being used by your controller, the point is it could be ANYTHING.
What I suggest you do is change the batteries for a fresh set or charge it if you are using a wireless rechargeable.
