First of all you need to go to the people that allow you to plan them. From memory there is one located in the White Bowa, he is on a lower level. There is also one in the city centre of Numara, to the right by a bridge. Once you have activated the activity you have to hit the boxes in order according to the music cube you selected. You will also have to select characters, select the characters in order of quickest to slowest.

When you get a music cube you need to go to a music instructor, the best one to go to is in the centre of numara, recognised by the cube thats next to him.

Once you are prompted with formation, choose four characters to play with.
Then it will tell you what notes to play, you might wana right them down.
