I'm not sure what you mean. Do you mean on a console how many or how many period?
For Firefight:
You can have two people play on one console offline together for Firefight. You can also system link and have two other people on one console play with you. X-box live is the same.
For Campaign:
You can play with another guy on the same X-box console for the Campaign offline. For online, only you can play, but you can play with three other friends on X-box live together.
