Firefight is endless. In other terms, it goes on forever because eventually you will lose. Whether it be from poor judgement of circumstances or lack of ammo and health, eventually you will lose. So it goes on basically forever.

Firefight goes on until you have lost all of your lives. It's never ending and it will just be harder with every round you complete with skulls being activated like enemies having double health. Ammo will be much harder to get and lives will be much harder to obtain. Good luck with how long you last.
