Well I've read on this site and others that once you beat the song "The Thing That Should Not Be". You unlock 3 other songs including cyanide. I have completed all of the career songs, and have not unlocked these songs even for quick play mode. Any thoughts? Thank you for your time.

Well, you can't unlock it on the Xbox360 or PS3 version of Metallica. This only happens on the PS2 version. You would have to buy the Death Magnetic album off of the Live Marketplace or the Playstation Store.
i think you can if you complete the at guitar drums vocals and bass
