You can play up to 2 players split screen on multiplayer online.

Yes you can when you are going 2 choose the game mode just turn on a controller and the other player will sign into guest and you can play with 2 players!

Yes, you can play split screen online on the game. Just turn on another controller and have your friend play the guest account.

Yes, you can. There are up to two players allowed in online multiplayer splitscreen. All you have to do is when you are in online multiplayer, turn on the controller and press a and select "GUEST" in the profile menu.
