Best weapon combo for taking down these enemies are a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) and a Needler Rifle. Just use either of these weapons to shoot at the enemy. It'll most likely hit the head on the first shot and make the enemy explode into several pieces. If using a weapon that doesn't penetrate, these might prove difficult to kill.
