M6C/SOCOM hints and tips for Halo 3: ODST

Some may know this as the silenced pistol that comes as a sidearm to most ODST. A great weapon to have at the start of any mission, and widely used throughout the game. Stuck somewhere between offensive and defensive on weapon type, it can easily be used to pick off a pack of Grunts or Brutes from a distance. Use it.

Advantages: It has a silencer system on the front of it, meaning each shot won't ring out and draw a lot of attention. It has a high rate of fire and a somewhat large clip (12 rounds). The x4 scope on it can also help along side it's increased accuracy to kill from a distance.

Disadvantages: It has a low to medium damage rating and can still be somewhat inaccurate in it's standard non zoomed mode. It also fails to produce much of a result against enemies with shields or power armor. Using this in close quarters is a bad idea unless you can immediately take out enemies with headshots.

Suggestions:: Use at the beginning of any game when you first get it, but it's highly suggested that you swap it out with a weapon that can do more damage with greater accuracy. Only rely on this throughout any game if absolutely necessary.
