The Gold-Plated Weapons Skins in Gears of War 3 are better than ever. Nice and shiny! Here are a few ways to unlock them:

Gold-Plated Lancer and Hammerburst

1. Have any of these gold weapons in Gears of War 2, as they will transfer to Gears 3

2. Play in Week 1 of Gears of War 3 (September 20 - 24)

3. Have the Veteran Gear achievement from Gears of War 2

Gold-Plated Retro Lancer

1. Score 100 kills with this weapon in the Gears of War 3 Beta for retail unlock

2. Have the Veteran Gear achievement from Gears of War 2

Gold-Plated Gnasher Shotgun

1 (Only way). Have the Veteran Gear achievement from Gears of War 2

Gold-Plated Sawed-off Shotgun

1. Have the Commando achievement from Gears of War 1 (Complete campaign on Insane)

2. Have the Veteran Gear achievement from Gears of War 2

* Veteran Gear unlocks all Gold-Plated Weapon Skin.

* The Gears of War 3 Beta is already over, which means the only way to unlock the Gold-Plated Retro Lancer is Veteran Gear if you haven't played the beta.

* If you do not have the Gold weapons in Gears of War 2, nor did you not play in the first week when Gears 3 launched, the only way to unlock the Gold-Plated Lancer and Hammerburst is the Veteran Gear achievement.
