He isn't dead, you just beat him around a bit. There isn't a sequel to this game yet, and I doubt there will be, but that's the end of this game at least. Despite how much of a cliffhanger it is, there is no way to continue the game after the final boss fight. Sorry.
You don't actually kill him, but you turn to the dark side and you have to face the Jedi as well as the Disciples of Ragnos in the last level. The ending is different, but your face doesn't change. You do this by attacking him in the level before the last.
