I have an interesting question about this game.
I was playing my game in the area right before the first Dahka chase scene when my game froze up. I restarted it and tried again but before I got to the game it froze again.
I took it out and cleaned it and it worked again but what happened when I started playing again was that the prince was no longer prince he was an odd zombie like being.
The up side is the sand regenerates itself so I have an infinite amount but what I want to know is how this happened.
If anyone could tell me what happened I would greatly appreciate it.

Ha! Thats awesome. I had the same problem. I'll tell you what you do. Nothing.
Go back to a previous save.
You can't advance because the Dahaka wont show up to break the grate.
Sorry for the bad news.
Hi, I had that problem too, but all you do is go back to when you teleported to the present.
Run up the 4 pillers to activate the sands of time so you don't have to start all over .....
The prince changed into the zombie looking creature because you gained the mask of the Sandwriath.
This zombie like thing is what you turn into like... 90% into the game, and after only 2 save points... You are deffinately not there yet. So this is obviously an extremely strange glitch. It didnt happen to me but I do have very good advice for every one to prevent glitches like this 'cause this game seems to have alot of them. So I want every body to read this...

*ahem*...
Heres a tip to avoid annoying glitches:
-always have two save files going and alternate which one you overwrite. For example, when you get a chance to save your game, over write the old one. That way if you encounter a glitch that wont go away, simply load the older one and play from there and hope that the glitch triggered somewhere between this save, and the glitched out save... 'cause more than likely... It did
