Question for Blinx 2: Masters of Time and Space

I am on the last level where Mina's mother makes a monster out of scissors. The Tom Tom Gang gave me the targeting system. When I aim at the monster and I pull the right trigger to shoot, nothing comes out of my sweeper and it won't let me shoot. I don't know what to do. Please help me!

Lock on to all crystals and Tom Toms will fire.

Hold down the right trigger, and lock on to all of the targets, then release.
