Light Tanks
This type of tank makes the best scout as they are able to quickly move into enemy territory and uncover targets for more powerful teammates who are nearby to deal with. Although light tanks are not heavily armoured their best form of defense is their speed and maneuverability which makes them elusive targets. If you do encounter a formidable opponent as a light tank the best tactic is to confuse the enemy with movement by circling them and try to shoot them in the stern whenever you get the chance.
Medium Tanks
Medium tanks are mulit-purpose tanks which have armour and weapons that enable it to join a fight and hold their own, but are not strong enough to withstand a frontal battle with heavy machinery. A well coordinated pair or group of medium tanks however working in tandem can easily take down much larger enemies while taking little to no damage themselves. Medium tanks excel in out-maneuvering slower tanks and vehicles without a turret but because it is an average tank it is important to constantly be aware of their position on the battlefield.
Heavy Tanks
These tanks have strong armour that is able to absorb a lot of damage and powerful gun they suffer from being slow and difficult to maneuver. The main role of a heavy tank on the battlefield is to secure an area, these juggernauts are able to hold their own against several opponents and are most effective when they fight as a group in a frontal assault.
Tank Destroyers
These vehicles carry heavy anti-aircraft weapons and come in two types. These are the ones known as 'glass cannons' as they carry a powerful gun but have weak armour, and the ones that carry a powerful gun and also have heavy armour but are extremely slow. Sometimes referred to as 'anti-self-propelled guns' these vehicles because they lack maneuverability tend to occupy high ground positions with good visibility where they rely on stealth to ambush their enemy before withdrawing and repositioning for the next attack.
