Ya I know it might seem like a dumb question but when I collected the wood.there was no option about a crafting table! Did I need to press some buttons or something?

Highlight at least 4 raw wood and tap the 4 box square
After you have the 4 raw pieces of wood open the menu using the select button. Highlight the wood and tap each of the 4 empty squares which should place one wood in each. The crafting table will appear in the square to the right. Drag it down to your main tool bar and you can start to use it.
You have to click on the wood then press the - button to open the 4x4 crafting table then click on each of the spaces then that gives myou a crafting table
Tap the square icon on the bottom right, your invetory will apear. You then tap the wood you have collected, then tap each of the 4 empty sqaures and the crafting table will apear. To use crafting table use 7. Goog luck chuck.
Okay so I have also wondered this question so I spent countless hours looking for the anwser and then I found it! You just tap the block you want to craft and then tap the empty spaces and that block should appear!
