1. INTRODUCTION [INTR]
======================

Hello! You're reading the guide for Super Paper Mario. This is the third Paper
Mario game. It's different than the others mostly because of the way you
battle. In the first two, and the starting game Super Mario RPG, you fought
turn-based battles. This game is a side-scroller, meaning you just go back and
forth on the screen and try to hit an enemy as many times as possible before
they can hurt you. This is all I really want to say here. I hope you like the
guide!

2. GAME PLOT [PLT1]
===================

How good the game is can somewhat depend on a good story, right? Well in case
you have no idea what it's about, you can read the summary and other details
here.

Princess Peach has been kidnapped AGAIN! Oh, how unexpected.
That's just how it starts off, though. A new enemy of Mario, Count Bleck, sets
out to destroy all worlds. In order to do this, he forces Bowser and Princess
Peach to marry each other, since this is the only way to create what is called
the Chaos Heart. Mario, with the help of Merlon, and new creatures to Mario
games called Pixls, and a few party members, have to gather eight Pure Hearts
to finally get to Count Bleck and stop him.

Wow...great summary, eh? Oh, well.

4. CHARACTERS [CRCT]
====================

Take a guess what this section is about...
Just a note, there are some spoilers in this section, and you can easily found
out about characters during the game, so maybe it's best not to read this.

+--------------------+
PARTY MEMBERS [PRTY]
+--------------------+

I'm going to tell you when and where you get these party members, and whatever
their abilities are.

MARIO
Who would've thought Mario was in this game? This is your first party member,
as you probably guessed. You know this guy. What is there to explain, really?
You first get to control him in Flipside.
The special thing about Mario is that he is the only one who can flip to 3D.
This can only be done after you are given the power.

PEACH
Surprisingly, the plot of this game isn't based on Peach getting kidnapped. She
is at first, but she is the first party member you get, besides Mario.
You get her during the first intermission, meaning after Chapter 1.
She joins you at Merlon's house in Flipside.
Believe it or not, she's got the biggest advantage during fighting out of any
of the party members. Her parasol can block basically any hit. The bad thing
is, she has no attack with double the normal power. But neither does Mario, so
she's not the only one.

BOWSER
In a way, BOWSER actually gets kidnapped in this game. Talk about weird. His
attack is double all the other party members' attack. Luigi's special attack is
the same as his, though. His special is breathing fire.
You get Bowser during Chapter 3-1, just at the end.
Chapter 3-1 takes place in The Bitlands.

LUIGI
He is your last party member, who is mostly needed for his jumping ability.
When he uses this ability during battle, his attack is the same as Bowser's.
You get him in Chapter 6-1 (x2) in The Underwhere.

+------------+
PIXLS [PIX1]
+------------+

These are new types of characters/creatures in Paper Mario. These are like mini
party members and they travel with you through your whole adventure. I'll tell
you when you get them and where. If they're optional, I'll use an asterisk (*)
to mark them.

TIPPI
You have this Pixl through all 8 chapters. She finds you at Bowser's Castle and
brings you to the town of Flipside. If you point the remote at the screen, she
can tell you what things are and what stuff means. She's quite useful, and
she's needed for some stuff.

THOREAU
This Pixl is shaped like a hand, and there's a very good reason why. He's great
for certain battles. You can use him to pick stuff up and throw it.
You get him in Yold Town during Chapter 1-2.

BOOMER
A Pixl shaped like a bomb... Whatever could he do? BOMB STUFF! Yes, Boomer is a
bomb Pixl. He's not going to be the one you use most often, but since you have
limited Pixls at first he can help you battle.
You get this Pixl in Gloam Valley during Chapter 2-1.

SLIM
You definitely need this Pixl for some stuff. He makes you turn thin. Yes,
you're already thin, but it's like flipping into 3D and not getting the view of
it. If you use him in 3D, you'll be in 2D. If you don't move and an enemy hits
you when using this power, you take no damage.
You get this Pixl in Merlee's Mansion during Chapter 2-3.

THUDLEY
You ever heard of ground-pounding? Well that's what this Pixl allows you to do.
A combination of this Pixl and Bowser is great because they both do double
damage. Them together is quadrouple damage.
You get this Pixl in the Tide Pool during Chapter 3-2.

CARRIE
Change Carrie to Carry and there you go. This Pixl carries you around. It
sounds stupid but it's actually useful. You need her to get across spikes, and
you can jump on spiky enemies. Using her, you can breathe fire when jumping
with Bowser.
You get her in Fort Francis during Chapter 3-4.

BARRY*
This Pixl is optional, but extremely helpful. He only does half the damage your
regular party would do, but he can stop you from taking any damage. His name
comes from the word barrier. He looks like the sun...but blue.
You get him in The Bitlands the second time you go to Chapter 3-1.

FLEEP
This Pixl lets you fleep...I mean, flip, stuff! The point of the maps is to
find treasure, and he's the Pixl that does this for you. Use his power on a
certain spot to flip it around and see what's there. Always do this when you
see a random rip or tear. They make noise and they're sparkly.
You get him on Planet Blobule during Chapter 4-2.

CUDGE
In Paper Mario games, you usually get the hammer right away. You get this one
rather late in the game. And you get to make him say whatever you want when you
first get him!
You get him at the Gap of Crag during Chapter 5-2.

DOTTIE
You rarely have to use this Pixl, but she's still helpful. She shrinks you,
allowing you to get into small spaces. Using the power, enemies cannot see you.
She is found in the Floro Caverns during Chapter 5-4.

PICCOLO*
There is a particular enemy in this game that this Pixl can seriously help you
beat. She can also cure curses when you use her by playing music (which is also
how she helps you beat the enemy). That's all you need to know.
You can get this Pixl after Chapter 5 at any time. You find it in a random
house in Flopside after completing Merlee's favor.

DASHELL*
Dashell lets you move twice as fast as you normally can. Sadly, it's hard to
get him until after you beat the game.
You get him after completing the Flipside Pit of 100 Trials.

TIPTRON*
She can only be bought at the end of the game. Yes, bought. She's 999 coins,
too. She's just a replacement for Tippi, and looks a little different.
You can get her at Fort Francis, Chapter 3-4, at the end of the game.

+----------------+
GOOD GUYS [GDGY]
+----------------+

Well obviously, your party members are good guys. Here are a few others in this
game.

MERLON
This is a fortuneteller from Paper Mario 64 and The Thousand-Year Door. He's
returned. He never remembers Mario though... I think I saw something that said
where he come from people go by the job they have, so he's actually a different
person. Hm. Well, beats me.

NOLREM
Spell this guys name backwards. This guy is Merlon's counterpart, who lives in
Flopside. He basically does the same thing as Merlon, so there's nothing to
explain.

BESTOVIUS
You don't see this guy much, but he's the one who gives Mario his ability to
flip to 3D.

MERLUVLEE
She can give you outrageously helpful hints on what to do next. It's really
helpful when you ask her about a Heart Pillar.

MERLUMINA
She gives you your second Pure Heart. It's really the first one you actually
have to work for, though. She's an ancestor of Merlon, and all the other
Mer...'s in this game.

MERLEE
You meet her in her own mansion, but she comes to Flopside afterwards and she
can give you charms. She gives you the key to unlocking the house where Piccolo
is found after doing a favor for her...and Merluvlee, and Bestovius, and
Watchitt, and Merlumina.

+---------------+
BAD GUYS [BDGY]
+---------------+

COUNT BLECK
Count Bleck is the main villain of this game...or is he? His plan is to destroy
all worlds.

NASTASIA
This is Count Bleck's assistant. What do assistants do? You know. Assist.

DIMENTIO
This is one of Count Bleck's minions. He looks like a Jester and has all sorts
of magic attacks.

MIMI
Mimimimimimimimimi! You'll see why I did that in the game. She sure can fight
for someone her size... She's another one of Count Bleck's minions.

O'CHUNKS
Rather odd name, yes? This is the only minion of Count Bleck I haven't said
yet. He's Scottish, as you can clearly tell by the way he talks, and looks.
He's the minion you have to fight most often, I think.

Those are all the main bad guys, which aren't actually that bad. You'll see
these guys and the bosses included in the Bosses [BOSS] section and the
walkthrough [WKTR].

5. WALKTHROUGH [WKTR]
=====================

Well, here's the walkthrough for the whole game. First, I'm going to explain a
little bit. Even though I think it's a bit obvious, I'll tell you.

HP stands for Heart Points. Whenever you take a certain amount of damage, that
number is subtracted from your HP. When it drops to 0, you go back to your last
save point and lose all progress after that. If you fall into a pit or
something, you lose 1 HP when you are brought back up.

The points (or score) you see at the top of your screen are to show you when
you're going to level up. Go to the Pause Menu to see how many points you need
to go up a level. The first time you level up, your total HP goes up by 5. The
second time, your attack power increases by 1. This keeps on repeating until
you get to level 99 (which will only happen if you use a leveling-up trick).

Well, obviously you know what coins are. You can collect them in the field, or
sell stuff for coins. Use them to buy stuff in shops.

The bar under your HP, which appears when you flip to 3D, is the time gauge. If
that runs out, you lose 1 HP for being in 3D too long. If you get the Mario
card, you have infinite time in 3D.

################
BEGINNING [BGNG]
################

--Mario's House--

The game starts out like any other Paper Mario game. Mario and Luigi are at
their house. This time, Luigi isn't getting the mail, though. GASP! Heh...
Well, they go outside when a Toad comes to their house and says the Mushroom
Castle has been raided and Peach has been kidnapped. Whoever could have done
it? Oh, I know. That bad guy! So Mario and Luigi leave and go to said "bad
guy's" castle.

--Bowser's Castle--

You knew who it was, didn't you? Wait, but he's just planning to invade the
castle now. Then who took Princess Peach? He's planning to "stomp" Mario and
Luigi, too. Hmm... His minions start to scream that they're under attack,
leaving Bowser thinking they're just kidding. Then, he catches two people in
the castle who forgot to shave. Uh-oh. Someone left the gate open, apparently.
Then, suddenly, someone screams for help. Peach appears, captured, and so does
the one who captured her. Some new villain, named Count Bleck, the chosen
executor of the Dark Prognosticus. Um, wow, he really likes his name, doesn't
he? How many times has he said it now? He finishes saying that he's going to
destroy all worlds, and Mario tries to attack him, but the attack fails. He has
a barrier around him. He then creates a void and takes everyone in the castle
but Mario. Mario falls into a deep sleep...

Later, a butterfly-like creature is there and is talking to Mario. Her name is
Tippi, and she is a Pixl, which is something like a fairy. She was looking for
Mario, but she's not an enemy. After talking to Mario, she brings him to a
town.

--Flipside--

You're on a tower where a man is waiting for you and Tippi to arrive. He sees
what Mario looks like, and says Tippi has outdone herself. She then says that
Mario matches the hero in the Light Prognosticus perfectly. The man tells you
you're in Flipside. He says his name is Merlon, a descendent of the Ancients
who created this very town. Merlon points out the Void in the background, which
has to do with the ending of all worlds. It's pretty small, but it's going to
grow. And after that, it will "swallow" all existence. The Void was created by
Count Bleck himself. Tippi says something about "a fair and lovely princess"
and "a furious monster king". The union of them will create the Chaos Heart. If
you watched the intro to the game, she's talking about Princess Peach and
Bowser getting married. Merlon says that the hero with the power of eight Pure
Hearts can defeat the one protected by the dark power and stop the Void from
ending all worlds. That means you! You also get a Return Pipe, which brings you
back to Flipside Tower. Merlon then pulls out a red Pure Heart. He asks you to
take it and save all worlds from destruction. Say yes. If you say no three
times, you get a game over. He gives you the Pure Heart and tells you to find
the Heart Pillar in town and to place it and there. Now, get busy! Go to the
left, but instead of taking the elevator, fall over the edge. It gets you
straight to the Heart Pillar, and you take no damage.

Place the Pure Heart in the Heart Pillar. A door is created at the top of
Flipside Tower for you to go to. Now go to the right and down the elevator. To
the left, you'll see the elevator leading to the top of Flipside Tower. First,
save, and then go up. Listen to what Merlon has to say and go through the door.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHAPTER 1 [CHP1]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

--Castle Bleck--

Upon entering the door, you see a scene with Count Bleck and his assistant,
Nastasia, with some of his minions, Dimentio, and Mimi. Dimentio is the one
who's a Jester. Mimi... Well, that's not what she really looks like. She can
make herself look like others. So, a shape-shifter, I guess... Right now, she
looks like the only minion of Count Bleck who isn't there right now, O'Chunks.
He drops in after a bit of conversation, and Mimi turns into Count Bleck, then
Peach, then Bowser. Read the conversation if you want to find out what's going
on. Now let's get back to Mario.

********************
CHAPTER 1-1 [CHP1.1]
********************

"The Adventure Unfolds"

Enemies: Goomba (1 HP), Koopa Troopa (1 HP), Sproing-Oing (4 HP), Squig
         (4 HP), Squiglet (2 HP), Paragoomba (1 HP), Piranha Plant (2 HP)

--Lineland Road--

Tippi can feel the Pure Heart, but it's still far from where you are. You were
told to find Bestovius so you could learn the dimentional technique. She tells
you if you want to learn about something, just ask her. What you have to do is
point your Wii Remote at the screen and press A when your cursor is circling
what you want to learn about.

Up ahead is a Goomba with 1 HP and 1 attack. You'll find some coins in the
blocks ahead of you, along with a Mushroom. Those heal 10 HP and also give you
1,000 points. Killing enemies also does this, too. That's basically how you
gain points. Go to the right to find a door enclosed in some blocks. How to get
past them? You can jump over them, so do that. Jump over the gap so you don't
lose HP. Just past the pipe is a Squiglet with 2 HP and 1 attack. Go up the two
steps and you'll come to a house. Save and enter it.

There's nothing in the room, or is there? Point your Wii Remote in the center
of the room and press A to reveal a door. Now go inside it. You'll meet
Bestovius and he recognizes you as the hero...impersonator! Tippi tells him
you're real. He'll offer to teach you for a lot of coins, refuse that. Then,
he'll ask for all of the coins you have right now. Refuse again. Accept it when
he offers for free. He'll teach you to go into the third dimension. Cool! Press
A to do that. Now leave his house.

Flip to 3D. You'll see three blocks. The middle one has Pal Pills which make
mini 8-bit versions of you follow you and attack enemies. The other two just
have a coin. If you walk back down the steps while in 3D you can get a few
coins. Go back to the door enclosed in the blocks you saw earlier. Now, if you
flip to 3D, it's possible to get around the blocks. Now just enter the door.

You get a message telling you how enemies earn you points, which you already
know. Walk forward to find a Koopa Troopa. They have 1 HP, 1 attack, and 1
defense. It will be followed by a few more Koopa Troopas and some Goombas.
You'll come to a really tall pipe. Now, how to get around? Flip to 3D, of
course! Next to it you'll find a Goomba Catch Card in 3D. On the second pipe
you can get a Mushroom from a block. Flip back to 2D when you pass all three
pipes. You can find another Mushroom in the next block. After that will be four
blocks shaped sort of like a triangle. The top one has a Happy Flower, which
makes coins rain down on you. The large coins are worth three coins, mind you.
Flip to 3D just after those blocks and get on the mountain on the left. That's
the only way to cross this gap (unless you get the Pixl Dashell sometime in the
game). Flip to 2D and finish crossing the mountains. You see that Goomba there?
That's only visible in 3D. There are some enemies with dotted lines around
them. That means that when you flip, they flip. Cross the gap by climbing over
the blocks. You'll find a new enemy that looks like a Squiglet, but is purple.
It's simply called a Squig. It's got 4 HP and 1 attack. They can spit rocks out
at you, unlike Squiglets. Who puts rocks in their mouth? Anyways, go through
the door.

You'll see a bouncing enemy with the exact stats of a Squig, 4 HP and 1 attack.
It's called a Sproing-Oing. Odd, yes, but it fits the thing perfectly. Behind
it, you'll find a high up ledge. In front of it is a jump pad. Either use that
to pass it or just flip to 3D. It's your choice. If you go in 3D there are some
Pal Pills. You have an opportunity to gain some points after this, so you
should get them. In the following block is a Mushroom. You come to another
ledge where it's required to flip to 3D. Ahh! Here's that opportunity I was
talking about. Kill the Squiglets if you wish. Now go just a little further,
passing a Sproing-Oing, and climb the staircase of blocks. Jump to the ledge
from the top. Pass through the door.

Go forward. In the pipes are Piranha Plants with 2 HP and 1 attack that you
can't kill yet. Not without an item, at least. They will go back into the
pipes, but to save time, flip to 3D and go around them. Definitely hit the
block ahead of you. This item is called a Mega Star. It turns Mario into a
large 8-bit version of himself. You're invincible while you use it, so run
forward and you should be able to destroy everthing in your path. Yes, even the
pipes. You'll come across a Paragoomba when you're using the Mega Star. It's
got 1 HP and 1 attack, just like a Goomba. Just a little further, you'll find
the Star Block. Guess what that means... Hit it. END OF CHAPTER 1-1!

CHAPTER 1-2 [CHP1.2]
********************

"Afoot in the Foothills"

Enemies: Koopa Troopa (1 HP), Paratroopa (1 HP), Spiny Tromp (?? HP)

--Mount Lineland--

This area is quite a bit different than the previous one, but you're still in
Lineland. Ahead are four blocks in a row. The first one containing a Mushroom,
the rest a coin. After a Koopa Troopa, you'll see a Paratroopa with the same
stats (1 HP, 1 attack, 1 defense). Jump up on the mountain (or whatever it is),
and climb up just a little to see a Koopa Troopa with a red shell. It's not a
different enemy. Stand in the center of the red square above it and don't move.
Yay, a ride! You're taken to a higher level. Ahead, flip to 3D and hit the
switch to make some mountains rise. Climb them and stand in the square to get
to another higher level. Carefully drop to the left (don't jump, just drop) to
get a coin from the block. Then, go through the door.

Jump the gap. After getting the Koopa Troopa out of your way, flip to 3D and
get the coins from the four blocks. Now use the blocks to jump up to the ledge.
Stay in 3D and hit the six blocks. Then, jump on top of them to get to the
solid blocks to the left. Now you can flip to 2D. Walk along until you're under
a higher level of blocks. Flip to 3D and hit the brick block to make a ladder
emerge. Back in 2D, jump to the higher level of blocks and climb the ladder.
Grab the coins along the whole row of clouds and make a good jump to the right
when you're getting off. Flip to 3D so you can avoid the Spiny Tromps (rolling
enemies). Climb up and then go through the door.

--Yold Town--

There's a house in the background. Go through the pipe to emerge in the
background. Enter the house to the left.

Climb the stairs and jump onto the bed. The air is sweating? Flip to 3D. Oh, a
person. This guy's name is Red. How creative. Somehow he got stuck in 3D, and
you have to help him get back to 2D. It's quite simple, really. First, speak to
him. He explains what happened. Then, flip to 2D and he'll be there with you.
Tippi asks him to set up the bridge over the gap you were at just outside his
house. He first wants you to tell him your favorite color. Red, green, or both.
Say whatever you want. He makes the bridge for you. Go outside.

Back in the foreground, cross the bridge. You're in Yold Town now. The first
building you see is a shop. You really don't need anything, but if you want,
you can take a look in it. Hit the block to get a Mushroom. Flip to 3D to find
a pipe behind some blocks. Go through it. Don't get the coins yet. First, flip
to 3D. The amount of coins is now tripled. Get them all and exit. Go into the
building just next to you. It has a red window. Flip to 3D and jump over to the
left. Go through the pipe.

To the right are some Thwomps, and they're moving pretty fast. Flip to 3D and
just go behind them. Go through the door. Point the Wii Remote to the right of
the door you just came through to reveal a hidden door. Go through it.

When you come in, the door gets sealed. Open the large chest to the right. A
Pixl comes out and starts talking to you. He wants to join you! His name is
Thoreau. He can pick things up and let you throw them, hence "Thoreau". He's
also shaped like a hand, although it really doesn't look like it. Use him
(press 1) to pick up the block to the right of the chest and throw it at the
switch to the left. You can go through the door again. Now go back into town.

After coming out of the house where you got Thoreau, go into the rightmost
building. Talk to the lone man here, Old Man Watchitt. Watchitt for short. He
won't let you pass town unless you have a Pixl shaped like a hand, and you do!
He notices, and calls Red's brother, Green, to tell him to let you cross the
bridge. You still have to go see Green, though. Exit Watchitt's house. First,
go to the left and jump on the blocks that are hiding the pipe you entered
earlier. Jump off of them to the left to get on the roof of the building. Jump
to the top of Watchitt's house to get a Boomboxer Catch Card. You haven't seen
a Boomboxer yet. I'll let you know when you get to one. To the right of
Watchitt's house, go through the pipe to get in the background and enter
Green's house. Talk to him to get him to set up the bridge. He asks you the
same question as Red. Red, green, or both? No matter what you say he'll get
mad. If it's green, you're a liar because you're wearing red. If it's red or
both, he'll just get mad that you don't like green better. Just for that, he
throws you out of his house. You ought to thank him, he saved you about five
seconds there. Now cross the bridge and hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 1-2!

CHAPTER 1-3 [CHP1.3]
********************

"The Sands of Yold"

Enemies: Bald Cleft (2 HP), Boomboxer (4 HP), Cherbil (5 HP), Ice Cherbil
         (5 HP), Jawbus (5 HP), Squig (4 HP), Squiglet (2 HP), Zombie Shroom
         (1 HP)

--Yold Desert--

Go to the right and hit the four blocks. The first three have coins. The last
one has a Speed Flower, which speeds things up. The amount of points and coins
you earn while it's in effect triples, so try to earn some. To the right, the
first block has a Zombie Shroom. It's got 1 HP and 2 attack. The one right
after it has a regular Mushroom. Past the red palm tree is a Bald Cleft. They
have 2 HP, 1 attack, and 2 defense. There's also a Boomboxer, which has 4 HP
and 2 attack. The dragon-like creature after it is called a Jawbus. It's got 5
HP and 1 attack. To beat it, flip to 3D and go behind it. Jump on the yellow
circle on its tail and after a few hits you'll beat it. I only told you to come
over here to tell you about the enemies. Don't go through the door, because
it's just a waste of time. Go back to the red palm tree you just saw. Jump
under it ten times. There's a clue that tells you to do this, but I figured you
wouldn't care. A door is created. Now go through.

Jump onto the blocks and use the jump pad to get higher. Hit the block for a
coin. Jump inside the square to get over the sand. After being taken over here,
hit the rightmost block for a coin, and jump in between both of them to reveal
a hidden one with a coin. The leftmost one has a Zombie Shroom. When you go to
the right, you'll come across a long line of sand. Flip to 3D to find a narrow
path and cross it. Use the jump pad to the right of the blocks to get on top of
the blocks that make an incomplete square. There's a lone block just to the
right of these. Get on and throw Thoreau to the left to hit the switch. Now use
the square to get to the other side of the blocks to the right. Hit the block
for a Mushroom. Hit the Save Block to the right. Go through the door.

Grah-googly? It's O'Chunks! He gets rid of the door so you can't leave.
O'Chunks tells you who he is (even though you already know) and makes a few
grammar errors while speaking. Now he wants to fight you. Here we go!
___________________

|HP: 20               \
|Attack: 1             \

O'Chunks is VERY easy, even for a first boss. He uses an attack that looks
like it's going to do tons of damage, and then it just does 1. Use Thoreau to
throw him and stun him for a few seconds, and then jump on him. Your attack
should be around 2, so ten hits should get rid of him. He's really nothing
hard.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
O'Chunks tells you that he's going to fight you again, blah blah blah. He also
calls you Maria. He leaves and the door reappears. Go through.
Here's another part where I'll save you some time. There aren't any enemies
you're missing either so it doesn't matter. To the right is an Ice Cherbil that
has 5 HP and 2 attack. It can freeze you. By the way, there's an enemy just
called a Cherbil which looks like that but it's pink. You missed it before
because I told you not to go past that door when you saw the Jawbus. It has the
same stats except it doesn't use ice, it uses sleeping gas. So continue to the
right and use the jump pad to get on the platforms. Take them to the left and
go through the door.
Pass all the pillars and get on the blue platform. Press the - and 1 button at
the same time. After doing so, the Star Block appears. Hit it. END OF CHAPTER
1-3!
CHAPTER 1-4 [CHP1.4]
********************
"Monster of the Ruins"
Enemies: Buzzy Beetle (1 HP), Goomba (1 HP), Spiky Tromp (?? HP), Squiglet
         (2 HP)
--Yold Ruins--
Well that title can't be good... Tippi tells you something waits for you ahead.
Ugh, creepy. Anyways, go right, down the stairs. Kill the Squiglet and go
through the door.
To the right is a Buzzy Beetle, which is kind of like a Koopa Troopa, because
you can kick their shell after you jump on them. They have 1 HP, 1 attack, and
3 defense. They can climb on the ceiling, too, so watch out. Ahead, avoid the
fire and hit the block to get a Mushroom. Jump on the blocks to get higher up
and fall down. Open the chest to get a Life Shroom. If you drop to 0 HP, it
kicks in and gives you an extra 10. Climb up the ladder and fall over the left
edge. Go through the door.
Here, the easiest way to avoid the fire is to flip to 3D, although it's still
pretty easy if you don't. The first door you see is locked, so ignore it for
now. To the right is another door, but it's in the air. Flip to 3D to find a
Squiglet, and two blocks that you can hit to make them go into 2D. Back in 2D,
jump on the blocks and go through the door.
Avoid the Spiky Tromps to the right and climb the ladder. Grab the key from the
chest. Go back into the previous room and unlock the door.
Hit the Save Block to the left. Cross over the quicksand and avoid the Spiky
Tromps. The bottom door is locked, so go through the top door instead.
Fall over the edge and wait for a second. A Squiglet will fall out of the pipe,
so grab it and throw it at the switch to the left. Now go back to the previous
room.
Go back to where you saw the quicksand. Now there's a key enclosed in the box
above. There's a little bit of space, so use Thoreau to grab the key. Now take
it and unlock the door. In this room, simply point your Wii Remote under the
floating door to reveal a platform, and then go through the door.
Go to the left and flip to 3D. Go through the opening in the wall and grab the
key. Go to the right of the locked door before unlocking it, then flip to 3D to
find a path and take it to a chest. Now unlock the door.
Use the jump pad to get to the left ledge. Pass the second flame from the right
just a little bit and flip to 3D to find a ladder. Climb it. Hit the blue
switch to the right. A red switch rises, and a lot of Spiky Tromps start
rolling toward you. Push down the red switch to create a gap where the Spiky
Tromps will fall. Jump down with them. They've piled up just enough for you to
reach the door. Go through it.
Hit the four red blocks in this order: third, first, fourth, second (in 3D it
tells you which order). A staircase is created. Climb it and grab the Super
Shroom from the block. Then hit the Save Block. Go through the pipe.
You're in a place that looks like the desert, but it's still the ruins. Go to
the right. Warning? What? Um, WHOA! That is one big dragon! Its name is
Fracktail. It sees you as a threat at first, but then recognizes you as the
hero. And then... Dimentio! He comes in and uses magic on Fracktail which
causes a malfunction. And now Fracktail is going to fight you. Oh boy.
_______________
|BOSS: FRACKTAIL\
I really have no clue what his HP was because the game doesn't say. Most
people think he has 18 because they have about 2 attack power when they fight
him. He IS weaker than O'Chunks, but he's definitely a boss, and although he
might be easy, he's not easier than O'Chunks. When you first see him, he
recognizes you as the hero, but Dimentio comes in and uses his magic on him.
Uh-oh. Well first, he flies around in the background and comes charging at
you. Move out of the way when he does that. Then he comes flying in from the
left, but only flies above you. Tippi warns you that he's about to fly in
from the right, so you'd better flip to 3D. Once in 3D, move out of the way
and jump on his back right when his head passes you. You're in the air, on
his back in 2D. Run up to his head. There are creatures that look like
Cataquacks from other Mario games popping up from his back. These are called
Frackles. Use Thoreau to grab them and throw them at his antenna. After three
hits, he spins around, trying to throw you off his back. To win this battle
quickly, try to jump from his back to his head when he does this. It's kind
of hard, but it saves you a lot of time. After about nine hits you'll have
beaten him.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After you beat Fracktail, it apologizes for the malfunction. You fall to the
ground and a door appears. Go through it.

Walk down the stairs and wait for a second. A voice speaks, and someone
appears. Her name is Merlumina. She's an ancestor of Merlon. She tells you a
long, boring story. After that, you get the orange Pure Heart. END OF CHAPTER
1-4!

<><><><><><><><><><><>
INTERMISSION #1 [INT1]
<><><><><><><><><><><>

You see a short scene of Count Bleck, Nastasia, and O'Chunks having a
conversation. It's nothing too important.

--Castle Bleck--

In a different part of the castle, you see Peach just waking up. A Hammer Bro
and a Koopa find her and they're looking for a way out, so they want her to
help. Now you get to control Peach. The Hammer Bro goes ahead, and the Koopa is
staying with Peach. He goes super slow so feel free to go ahead of him. Go
through the door to the right.

Nastasia comes in and brainwashes the Hammer Bro. Now he's loyal to Count
Bleck. Fall to the left and go through the door. Go to the left and go through
the first door you come across.

Go to the left and you come to a dead end. Dang! Nastasia found you. She
brainwashes the Koopa, and just as she's about to brainwash you... You
disappear! Peach disappears, rather.

You see a conversation between two people, and then you get to control Mario
again.

--Flipside--

Go down the elevator. Merlon was outside his house waiting for you.
That's...nice. Go inside with him. He starts to talk to you and then some guy
who lives in town comes in and says a girl fell out of the sky. Nothing
unusual, correct? Merlon follows the guy to see the girl. Exit Merlon's house.
Don't follow them. If you have a Fire Burst, good. If you don't, go to the shop
to the left and buy one. Take the elevator down to the first floor.

To the right, go inside the diner (you'll know which one it is if you look at
the signs). Her name is Saffron. Give her the Fire Burst and she'll cook a
Spicy Soup for you. Now go to the third floor of Flipside (where you found the
first Heart Pillar).

To the left, you'll find Merlon, the guy, and...Peach? She's asleep, and you
have to wake her up. Merlon tells you to go see Saffron. But you already did
that! Give Peach the Spicy Soup. She wakes up and is very happy to see Mario's
OK.

Back in Merlon's house, Peach decides she wants to join you. Merlon gives you a
key, and you exit the house. He said that you can use the key very near his
house. And you can! Change back to Mario and flip to 3D. There's a gate to the
right. Use the key to unlock it. Take the path until you get to the outskirts.
Now go to the right and down the pipe.

Go to the left until you get to a sign where there are two Squigs. Flip to 3D.
The pillar has an arrow on it pointing to the path you should take. Stay in 3D
after you take the path, go down, and jump up to get to where the sign is. When
you're up there, switch to Peach and float across the large blocks to the right
until you get to the Heart Pillar. Place the Pure Heart in it. A new door is
created on Flipside Tower. Instead of walking all the way back, just use your
Return Pipe to get back faster. Once at the tower, go through the door.

CHAPTER 2-1 [CHP2.1]
********************

"Bogging to Merlee's"

Enemies: Cheep-Cheep (2 HP), Cherbil (5 HP), Growmeba (2 HP), Spiked Goomba
         (1 HP), Squig (4 HP), Squiglet (2 HP)

--Gloam Valley--

Go to the right and jump to the top of the mossy platform. Use Peach to float
to a ledge. Ahead is a Spiked Goomba which has 1 HP and 2 attack. You can't
kill it without an item yet, so leave it be. If you try to pick it up, it pokes
you and you take damage. In the water is a Cheep-Cheep, which is just
Nintendo's creative name for a fish, that has 2 HP and 1 attack. Jump over the
platforms in the water until you come to a Squig. First, kill it. Then flip to
3D. Hit the switches to make them go into 2D and jump on top of them. Jump
across the platforms and then go into the pipe.

Kill the two Squiglets and the Squig to make a chest emerge. Open it to get a
key. Go back out the pipe and unlock the door.

In the left block are Pal Pills. Go all the way to the right and let the
Piranha Plant go inside the pipe. Jump on it and jump to the rightmost
platform. Use the square to get up higher and switch to Peach. Float across the
platforms to the left and take the pipe into the background. Now make your way
all the way to the right and hit the switch. A door is created in the
foreground. Come back to the foreground and go through it.

Jump up and hit the blocks to get a Mega Star. Now run to the end of this
section. Make sure you do the jumps, too. Hit the Save Block and go through the
door.

Hit the block for a Slow Flower. It's the opposite of the Speed Flower. It
makes you slow. Who would've guessed? Your coins and points still triple,
though. After crossing over the water, hit the block for a Happy Flower. Go
inside the pipe.

Point the Wii Remote at the screen to find a hidden switch. You can't make it
visible, so just remember where it is and hit it. A new pipe is created. Use
it. This enemy is called a Growmeba (it sounds like amoeba). It's got 2 HP and
1 attack. It can multiply, and you have to beat all of the Growmebas. But to
get rid of all of them, all you have to do is kill the original. So beat it to
make a chest appear. Open it. A new Pixl, named Boomer, comes out. Obviously,
he's going to join you. Answer his questions however you want. After he joins
you, use him to blow up the wall to the right of the chest. Flip to 3D to go
behind it and get a Catch Card. Exit the two pipes.

Go to the right and beat the Jawbus if you want. Jump up to the platform and
use Boomber to break the blocks. Jump to the leftmost door and go through it.

Flip to 3D and use Boomer to break the blocks on the floor and use the hole to
drop down. Hit the switch to make something happen outside. Drop through the
hole. Go through the door.

You should've just exited the rightmost door. Go through the leftmost door
(there's a new one now). You can see Merlee's Mansion in the background. There
are some Cherbils here, by the way. Hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 2-1!

********************
CHAPTER 2-2 [CHP2.2]
********************

"Tricks, Treats, Traps"

--Merlee's Mansion--

This is a very short chapter, actually. Immediately flip to 3D and go behind
the bush. Hit the coin block a few times and then get back in front of the
bush. Enter the mansion.

Those weird-looking things are Merlee's pets. She uses them to keep people out.
They're called Gnips. You can't hurt them, and they can't hurt you. But they
CAN throw you out, so avoid them. When you get to a curtain (there's a Crystal
Ball in front of it), flip to 3D and you can go through a door.

Hit the Save Block to the left. To the right is Merlee's maid. If you talk to
her, she says her name is Mimi. Wasn't that one of Count Bleck's minion's
names? That's probably why you didn't get to see her yet, but this is what she
really looks like. She'll tell you Merlee's in the top-right room, and you'd
BETTER NOT GO INTO ANY OTHER ROOMS! She's telling the truth, believe it or not.
Partly, at least. Before going there, though, go to the right. That's Merlee's
favorite pet, Gnaw, who does the same thing as a Gnip. It's chained to the
door! You can blame Mimi for that. Now go into the top-right room.

At the end of the room, flip the switch to make all the windows get covered
with bars and to make spikes appear on the ceiling, slowly descending. And the
door is open! However will we get out? You don't want to leave, though. Still,
go by the door while you're waiting for the spikes to come closer to you. When
they get close enough, flip to 3D to find out you can actually jump on top of
them. After doing that, flip to 2D and the spikes will start to rise up. Jump
on the platform and use Boomer to break the blocks. Flip to 3D to pass the
others. Keep doing this until you get to a chest at the end. Open it to get a
key. Flip to 3D, fall to the ground, and exit the room.

Now wait till Gnaw is just to the right of the door he is chained to (or you
can do this in 3D). Quickly unlock it and Gnaw will suddenly start chasing
after Mimi. How odd... Not really. Go through the door and hit the Star Block.
END OF CHAPTER 2-2!

CHAPTER 2-3 [CHP2.3]
********************

"Breaking the Bank"

--Merlee's Mansion--

This is a pretty stupid chapter. This can either be a huge waste of time, or
you can be done with it in just a few minutes. I'm going to tell you the quick
way out of it, since you'll just be wasting around 8 minutes if you don't do it
that way.

First, go to the right. Oh! A vase! Let's break it! Hit the block. You now have
a coin and a broken vase. And you made Mimi mad... Nice job! Now you have to
pay her 1,000,000 rubees. So jump up on the block you just hit and to the
rightmost level. Use Peach to float to the left. Change to Mario and flip to 3D
so you can pass the wall. Open the chest. A new Pixl! His name is Slim. Why?
Because he makes you slim. Really, he just makes you invincible if you're
standing still. You basically just flip to the opposite dimension without
getting the actual view of it. Cool! Now go to the highest level in this room.
Like before, flip to 3D so you can pass the left wall. Hit the block so you can
make a ladder emerge. Climb it and go to the right. Use Slim to get past the
lasers. Don't move or they'll hurt you. You come to a safe. Enter this code in:
41262816. Open the safe and you get... 1,000,000 rubees! Now go back to the
lowest level, where you broke the vase. Go through the rightmost door. You find
Mimi, and she'll let you pay off rubees. Give her all your rubees and
she'll...explode? OK? Well the Star Block appears after that. Flip to 3D and
use Slim to go through the bars. Hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 2-3!

CHAPTER 2-4 [CHP2.4]
********************

"The Basement Face-off"

Enemies: Atomic Boo (10 HP), Boo (4 HP), Cursya (1 HP), Mister I (?? HP),
         Shlurp (?? HP)

--Merlee's Basement--

You're in the basement of the mansion. Merlee appears (or at least an image of
her) and tells you to find her. Go down the stairs. If you flip to 3D at the
bottom, there's a Mushroom in the left block. Go through the first door.

There are a few ways to do this. I don't know if this is the quickest but it
doesn't take long, so here's what you do. First of all, these Boos have 4 HP
and 1 attack. Go through the other door. Enter the rightmost door here. Go
through the top-right door. At the bottom is a Mister I, which has an unknown
HP and 2 attack. To kill it, flip to 3D and spin around it a few times. Jump
across the blocks to get to the top-right door and go through.

See? You're already done...or are you? All the way to the left, flip to 3D and
hit some of the blocks so you can jump on them. After you do that, jump to the
platform to meet...Merlee! Tippi tells her that you want the Pure Heart and she
makes you a bunch of offers. Refuse them all. She's not the real Merlee, in
case you didn't know. After that, Merlee will come in and tell you you were
right not to trust her. Now who could it be? Oh, gee! It's Mimi! (Yes, that
rhyme was intentional.) But wait... She says she's not in her true form right
now. She'll spin her head around and turn into a spider. Most people think it's
scary how she does that. I don't. Right now, you can't hurt her. She's got a
magical barrier. Simply walk under her and go through the door. If you spend
enough time in a room, she'll come in and try to attack you.

The bats are Swoopers. They have 3 HP and 1 attack. There's a small crack in
the floor. Use Slim to drop down, and then go through the door. The enemy here
is called a Cursya. Why? Because it can curse ya! It's got 1 HP and 1 attack.
All it does is slow you down if you touch it, and you'll take damage. Flip to
3D when you're by the righmost blocks (hit them to get some coins) and then
jump on them to get up to the door. Then go through it. If you blast open the
wall, you can flip to 3D and go down the short hallway to get a Shroom Shake.
Then go through the bottom-left door. Blast open the wall at the top-right and
go down the hallway in 3D to find a door. Go through it. In here are two
Shlurps with an unknown HP and 2 attack (you may have seen one before). Let
them swallow Boomer if you wish to kill them. Flip to 3D and hit the block by
the left wall to make it go into 2D. Use it to jump to the top-left door and go
through it.

In here is an Atomic Boo, which was much more atomic in the second Paper Mario.
This one has 10 HP and 2 attack (the one in PM: TTYD had 40 HP). It acts just
like a normal Boo, though. You'll go right through it if you jump on it while
you're looking at it. There's a shadow of a staircase on the wall. Point your
Wii Remote at it and press A to reveal the stairs so you can climb them and go
through the door.

Get the Super Shroom from the block. Save and go into the girls' bathroom. No,
it doesn't matter if you're using Mario.

Open the third stall from the left. The real Merlee comes out of the toilet.
Nasty... She talks to you, and then Mimi comes in. Uh-oh... The screen flashes
and Mimi turns into Merlee. Now which one is which? I think it's easy to tell
by what they're saying. Time to take a quiz! You're not the one who's getting
quizzed this time, though. It's Merlee and Mimi. IT'S THE 66TH ANNUAL QUIZ-OFF!
You have to ask the two Merlees five questions. This is to determine who is the
real one. There's no way you can actually know the answers to any of these
questions yourself (although I think you can somehow figure out Merlee's
birthday by talking to someone, but I'm not sure). Anyways, if you guess the
wrong one, it's still going to end in a different way, except you get struck by
lightning. So choose five questions to ask them. After that, choose who you
think is the real Merlee. I don't need to tell you who the real one is, but I'm
going to give you a huge hint. Which one had a fly around it just now? That one
is real. If you didn't see, just make a guess. Either way, you have to fight
Mimi.

Her HP has nothing to do with beating her (it's infinite). She's not really
an RPG type of boss because, even though you can do 3 damage to her or
whatever your attack is, it doesn't count. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but
don't spiders have eight legs? Oh well. She has six. This is what you want to
pay attention to. You have to wait a few seconds at the beginning of the
battle to be able to hurt her. Merlee uses her magic to get rid of her
defense. Most likely, she's going to start crawling on the ceiling and
drop rubees on you. You should have Peach for this battle. Use her parasol if
the rubees are going to drop right on you. If you can avoid them, do so, and
use Thoreau to pick them up. Throw them at her to knock her off the ceiling.
Now you can get rid of her legs. Jump on her once to stun her. If you don't
jump on her quick enough after that, you'll have to stun her again and do it.
Each time you do this, her leg falls off. Sometimes it's hard to jump on her
without running into her instead, which deals you damage. Keep using this
strategy and you'll beat her in no time.

Merlee comes back in to talk to you and mentions something about four heroes.
She then gives you the yellow Pure Heart. END OF CHAPTER 2-4!

<><><><><><><><><><><>
INTERMISSION #2 [INT2]
<><><><><><><><><><><>

You see another cutscene with Count Bleck, Nastasia, and O'Chunks. Count Bleck
calls Dimentio in and sends him off to defeat you. O'Chunks and Nastasia leave,
and so does Count Bleck.

--Castle Bleck--

Luigi wakes up somewhere in the castle. Two Goombas come in and get him to help
them find a way out. Go through the door to your left. Do the same in the next
room, and the following one. Go to the other side of the hallway to find out
you've come to a dead end. One of the Goombas gets brainwashed. Oh no! Nastasia
found you. The other Goomba joins their side without being brainwashed because
he wants to be on the winning team. She has the group hold Luigi down so she
can brainwash him. Ooh, that's bad...

You see a conversation with two people, like before (this happens after every
chapter). Their names are Blumiere and Timpani.

--Flipside--

Mario and Peach return to Flipside Tower, where Merlon is waiting. They tell
Merlon about the four heroes. Mario and Peach are the first two, so who are the
others? The Void starts to grow. Merlon tells you something he read. Now we're
going to go find the second Heart Pillar. First, take the elevator down.

Like before, flip to 3D, pass through the gate, take the path to the outskirts,
and go down the pipe to your right. This time, go all the way to the left of
this room. Use Boomer to blow up the blocks on the pipe and take it down. Go
all the way to the right and get Slim out. Flip to 3D and use Slim to get past
the wall. Here's the Heart Pillar. Place the Pure Heart inside. A new door is
created on Flipside Tower. Use the Return Pipe to get back to the tower. Go
through the new door.

CHAPTER 3-1 [CHP3.1]
********************

"When Geeks Attack"

Enemies: Gloomba (2 HP), Koopa Striker (8 HP), Koopa Troopa (1 HP), Piranha
         Plant (2 HP)

--The Bitlands--

Just look at the background. It's pretty obvious to me why they call it The
Bitlands. Tippi says she feels the Pure Heart pretty nearby. A tongue? WHAT?!
Tippi's gone! And that stupid chameleon just took her... Oh, how annoying this
dude is. A lot of people think he's funny because everything is so HI-
TECHNICALLLLL! Nerr herr herr herr! Not me. He's annoying, in my opinion. He
disappears. A bush starts to talk...and shake. Well, we all know bushes don't
do that. Talk to it. A Pixl named Barry, who won't be joining you now, tells
you to watch out for a few things, and I'll point those out when you come to
them.

Go right until you come to a really tall pipe. Flip to 3D and hit the switch
next to it so you can use it in 2D. Use it to jump to the top of the pipe and
hit the block. A ladder emerges. Climb it and go through the door.

Go through the pipe all the way to your left to be in the background and go to
your right to get a Catch Card. Come back to the door in the foreground. Grab
the Mega Star from the block. Run to the right (you don't have to jump any
gaps). Go through the door.

A Koopa sees you and immediately grabs a Mega Star from a block. It also turns
into an 8-bit, larger version of itself. Once a Koopa grabs a Mega Star, it
actually has a different name, and its own stats. This is the only time you'll
come across this. It's called a Mega Koopa (boy, is that weird). It looks like
its stats should be really high, but they're nothing. It's got 1 HP, 2 attack,
and 1 defense. You can't beat it unless you have a Mega Star yourself, though.
Grab one from the block to your left. Then run to your right, hitting the Mega
Koopa and everything else in the way. The sign says to fall between the red
pipes when you read it backwards. I could've just told you to do that instead
of making you go there to read that like I did before, but you just got some
major points, so that's why I did that. Go back through two doors.

Fall to the right of the platform. Oh, look. The red pipes. Fall between them.
Does this look familiar to you? If you played the Super Mario Bros. games, it
should. In the first block are Pal Pills. The new enemies are called Gloombas.
It's just a blue Goomba with double the stats of a regular one. It's got 2 HP
and 2 attack. Go to your right and hit the blue block for a lot of coins. Pass
the three Piranha Plants and jump over the gap. When you get to the platforms
going up, use them to get above the pipe. This will help you get through the
level faster, which you probably want to do since this is a pretty boring
level. To do this, you should take the center pipe.

Make sure to hit the Save Block. The Koopas kicking shells at you are called
Koopa Strikers, having 8 HP, 2 attack, and 1 defense. If you go to your right,
one of them will stop you. Bowser's castle? Didn't Count Bleck take him, too?
His Burliness doesn't want you there. Too bad, we're coming through! Hmm... The
music playing is called "A Powerful Enemy Emerges". These wimps aren't
powerful! Whatever. It's best if you kill the Koopa Striker so you don't get
hurt. Then jump to the top of the castle. The cannon shooting bullets out is
called a Bill Blaster. It has 5 HP, 2 attack, and 3 defense. The bullets it's
shooting out are called Bullet Bills. They have 1 HP and 2 attack. You've seen
a Hammer Bro, but that was in Castle Bleck. It's the one right after the Bill
Blaster. They have 4 HP, 1 attack, and 1 defense. Fall to the right of the
castle. There's that red X mark Barry was talking about. Use Boomer on it
and...BOOM! There goes Bowser's castle. He'll be mad. Oh, and there's Bowser
now. Somehow he just appeared there from Castle Bleck. He makes Peach fly back
a few feet and creates a wall so she can't pass. Time for a battle!

He's got more than one attack, so he has no exact attack power. His fire

You may not have full HP during this, so that may cause it to be a bit hard.
All you can really do is use Boomer to bomb him a few times. Unfortunately,
you can't use Peach, and it would be a lot easier with her. Just try not to

After they finally convince him, Bowser joins the party. He can do more damage
than Mario and Peach, but he goes kind of slow and isn't always the best choice
for a battle. His followers overhear and ask if he's leaving. Yes, His
Crabbiness is leaving. (PARRRRTY!) To your right, hit the Star Block. END OF
CHAPTER 3-1!

CHAPTER 3-2 [CHP3.2]
********************

"Bloops Ahoy"

Enemies: Bittacuda (10 HP), Blooper (1 HP), Cheep-Cheep (2 HP), Spiked Goomba
         (1 HP)

--The Tile Pool--

Even though he's somewhat slow, it's best to use Bowser here because he can use
fire. Fire, you say? In water? Yes, fire. Remember, it's a game! You'll see
some Cheep-Cheeps here. Get the Mushroom from the block ahead. Start swimming
to your right. You'll come to an enemy that's like a squid. It has 1 HP and 2
attack. Don't let yourself get pulled down when you get to the gap. Continue to
swim right until you get to an enclosed pipe. Flip to 3D and go through it.

Swim to your right. WHOA! That's a big tentacle, isn't it? Don't swim in the
whirlpool or you'll get stunned. Above the whirlpool, flip to 3D and swim
through the small space. Jump up to the pipe above and go through it. You can
kill the Spiked Goombas with Boomer. Jump into the water and sink until you can
swim right. Do that and go through the door.

You're trapped in. You have to figure out a way to leave. First, use Bowser's
fire breath to beat all the enemies. A big chest appears. Open it. A Pixl named
Thudley comes out and starts commenting on your girth. He joins you after that.
Now you can do a ground pound. Ground pound on the stump next to the door. Now
you can leave. Go back to where you saw the six stumps in a row (by the
enclosed pipe).

If you were to have gone further you could've figured out the order yourself,
but I'm just going to tell you the order. From the left, they should look like
this: up, down, down, up, down, up. If you make one go down that you shouldn't
have, you can just ground pound it again and it'll come back up. After doing
this, a door is created. Save by the pipe and then go through.

Get Bowser out if he isn't already. The fish are called Bittacudas. They have
10 HP and 2 attack. Don't let them hurt you. Beat them if you want, and swim
right. NO! It's those tentacles again! A red-colored one. Barry told you to
watch out for that, too. It's obvious that's what you want to pay attention
to...the screen just closed in on it. A BLOOPER. But it's...BIG! I'm pretty
sure that's why they call it a Big Blooper.

Again, this is a boss without a definite HP. I had 6 attack when I fought it
(you're supposed to use Bowser, so the actual attack was 3) and you have to

matters, though. What you have to do is swim around with Bowser, avoiding the
tentacles he tries to hit you with. SOMEHOW you can breathe fire and hurt the
Blooper with it. Hit the blue tentacles (I'm pretty sure it uses three), and
then hit the red one it tries to hit you with to do damage. Hit the red one

CHAPTER 3-3 [CHP3.3]
********************

"Up, Up, and a Tree"

Enemies: Chain Chomp (4 HP), Crazee Dayzee (10 HP), Koopa Troopa (1 HP), Lakitu
         (4 HP), Paratroopa (1 HP), Poison Cherbil (5 HP), Spiny (4 HP),
         Tileoid B (10 HP), Tileoid G (5 HP)

--The Dotwood Tree--

OK, in this level, you have to climb a tree. On the outside of the tree, it's
hard to be specific on what to do. You may not know what I mean, but it is.
It's still pretty obvious how to do it, though, so just try to understand what
I'm saying. It's also best to use Peach for this level, since she can float.

Go right and jump on the two platforms. Then take the moving platform left.
Jump up a few more. You'll find a Poison Cherbil, with the same stats as the
other Cherbils (5 HP and 2 attack). The only difference is that it poisons you.
There's only one type of Cherbil that you haven't seen yet, and possibly won't
because it's optional, that has different stats than the others. The enemy
crawling around the platform to your right is a Tileoid B. It has 10 HP and 1
attack. You haven't seen the one that has lower HP than it yet, which is weird,
but you will soon. You can get a Speed Flower from the block, but I suggest you
don't, because you'll be likely to fall off the tree. Jump up a few platforms
left of the Tileoid B, and flip to 3D to hit the switches to make them appear
in 2D. Jump up and use Peach to float to the right. Jump up two platforms and
float to the left. Jump up a few platforms to the right and use Thudley to
ground pound the stump. A moving platform appears. Use it to jump up to a
immobile platform to your left. Now there's a Tileoid G. It has 5 HP and 1
attack. Flip to 3D after you beat it and walk across the blocks to get to a
platform to your right. Now jump up a few more platforms and you'll get to a
door. It's covered by wood. Use Bowser's fire breath to burn it and then go
through.

Whoopee, more climbing! Use the platform to get up to a ledge above. Go through
the pipe to your left. You're brought all the way to the top of this room. Hit
the blue switch to your right to make it turn pink. Take the pipe back down.
Two pink platforms are there now. Use them to jump to a platform to your right.
The flower enemy is called a Crazee Dayzee. It's got 10 HP and 2 attack. The
other Dayzees in this game are much stronger than these. This thing can put you
to sleep, so try not to let it hit you with anything. Hit the pink switch next
to it to make it turn blue. A blue platform appears. Use it to get to the
moving platform next to it. Jump on the platform moving in a square motion and
jump to the platform right of it. Use Thudley to ground pound the stump. A
ladder is created. Take it down and hit the blue switch to make it turn pink
again. Climb back up the ladder and get onto the platform moving in a square
motion. Jump to the platform above it and use the pink one to get to one to
your left. Then use the platform moving in an odd motion to get to a platform
to your right. Flip to 3D and go through the pipe.

Use Slim so you can't get hit. Walk across the spikes, and when they're about
to come up, stop. Once you make it all the way across hit the pink switch to
make it blue. Then go back across the spikes and out the pipe.

Jump to where the Crazee Dayzee is and beat it. Put Boomer on top of the spikes
so he can explode next to the blue switch. Then, put him in again and quickly
jump off the pink platform and onto the next one. Then get on the blue platform
and onto the moving one. Get to the next moving one and go through the pipe to
your left.

Use Slim's power and jump onto the moving platform. Don't move until you pass
the spikes. Fall into the gap and put Boomer next to the blue switch. Come out
before you let him explode so when the pink platform appears, it doesn't trap
you. Use the platform the same way you just did and leave the room by taking
the pipe.

Use Peach to float to the right. Jump on the pink platform and switch to Mario.
Flip to 3D and jump onto the platform. Hit the switch to make a door appear
just above you. Use Thudley on the block next to you to get a Super Shroom. If
you go into that one pipe on the right side of the tree, you can get Peach
card. The Chain Chomps in there have 4 HP, 1 attack, and 4 defense. You
probably need to use Thudley to beat them. You can probably use Bowser and
Thudley to kill them in one hit. Fall all the way to the first pipe you used
inside the tree. Take it up to the top and save. Then go through the door.

Oh, look who's here. That stupid Jester, Dimentio. He brings you into a place
of his own creation, Dimension D. Someone likes himself a little too much, huh?
The D stands for Dimentio, most likely. He's 256 times stronger in this place.
But what he DOESN'T realize is that you're 256 times stronger, too, since
you're in the dimension with him. Show him what you're made of!

So we finally get to fight this guy, the one who makes dragons turn evil!
This battle isn't very difficult, but it's a little lengthy. Use Peach for
this battle. He can throw orbs at you and Peach can easily block those. He'll
also create boxes to cause explosions in, and if you get trapped in one,
you're going to get hurt. If you can avoid these boxes, you can use them to
get higher up, which you'll need to do sometimes. He floats around, so it's a
little harder to hit him. Overall, he's not too difficult.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After you beat him, he leaves, but you see a cutscene of him talking to himself
afterwards. What a freak! But...what's he saying? You need to be stronger to
defeat Count Bleck? OK, I thought he was on Bleck's side. You're going to have
to play through a little bit more to see what he's talking about.
There is a Spiny just above you. It's got 4 HP, 2 attack, and 3 defense. Here,
it's easy to get to the top. Just jump up a few platforms. The enemy on the
cloud you pass by is a Lakitu. It has 4 HP and 1 attack. It just keeps on
dropping more and more Spinies. Beat it if you want. Once you get to the top,
you'll eventually notice the last thing Barry was talking about. Red wind! You
can jump on top of it. Ride it until you come to a pipe. Then drop down and go
through it. Flip to 3D and hit the coin block to get a lot of coins. Then hit
the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 3-3!
CHAPTER 3-4 [CHP3.4]
********************
"The Battle of Fort Francis"
Enemies: AirMeow (5 HP), BigMeow (?? HP), Chain Chomp (4 HP), Meowbomb (1 HP),
         PatrolMeow (5 HP), SurpriseMeow (1 HP)
--Fort Francis--
You see a cutscene of Francis taking pictures of Tippi. Poor Tippi... Go as far
right as you can and flip to 3D. Go through the pipe. Use Boomer to grab the
block and throw it at the switch. A chest appears. Open it to get a key. Go
through the pipe and unlock the door to enter Fort Francis. Instead of going
through the door, flip to 3D and take the pipe behind it.
Those little robots are called PatrolMeows. Francis loves cats, if you didn't
know that. They have 5 HP, 2 attack, and 1 defense. To the right, jump on the
switch and then jump a little higher to the right so you can walk on a hard-to-
see platform. The sign has the codes 2323 and 2828. I'll tell you when you have
to enter them somewhere. There's a Pixl trapped behind bars on this side of the
room. Hit the big switch with Thudley to let her out. Her name is Carrie.
Answer her questions however you want and she'll join you. She can make you
move a little faster, and carry you across spikes. Let her carry you across the
spikes to your left and then flip to 3D when you're at the other side of the
room. Go back through the pipe and go through the door this time.
The robots walking around in here are called MeowMaids (there was one earlier
but I forgot to mention it). You can't hurt them, and they can't hurt you. Just
ignore them. Behind the big door in here is where Tippi and Francis are right
now, but unfortunately, you can't go through yet. Go through the small door to
your right.
Flip to 3D and climb up the steps. That big robot is called a SurpriseMeow.
Surprisingly (heh) it only has 1 HP. Its attack is 2. It spits out Meowbombs,
which have 1 HP, 2 attack, and 1 defense. The only way to beat a SurpriseMeow
is to grab a Meowbomb and throw it in the SurpriseMeow's mouth. Go through the
door.
There are some PatrolMeows to your left. There's a door hanging on the wall,
too. Use either Thudley or Boomer to knock it down. Go through it. Use Carrie
to float over the spikes and go through the door.
The robot in this room is called a SecuriMeow. Answer all his questions "True".
Then, tell him the passcode: 2323. An elevator is created. Take it up to
another room.
The robot is called a BigMeow. You can't hurt it, but it can hurt you. It has
an attack of 1. Get the Super Shroom from the block and jump on the BigMeow to
get up to the chest. Open it to get a key. Go back to the room where you
knocked the door down. There are some more PatrolMeows to your left if you
didn't beat them before. Knock the other door down and go through it.
You can sort of see a platform just above you. Jump on it and use Peach to
float to the left. Use Mario to flip to 3D and climb up the steps. Go through
the door.
The new enemy is called an AirMeow. They have the same stats as a PatrolMeow: 5
HP, 2 attack, and 1 defense. Grab one and throw it at the switch to create a
bridge. Cross it and go through the door.
Talk to the SecuriMeow and answer all his questions "True". Then tell him the
passcode: 2828. A door is created. Go through it. Look above the door. It's a
poster of Bow! She was one of Mario's partners from Paper Mario 64. There's
also a bunch of dolls of other people from Paper Mario games. Hit the block to
get a Mushroom. Jump on the BigMeow and open the chest to get a key. Go back to
where you saw the big door where Tippi and Francis were.
Put the two keys in the door. Now you have to answer a bunch of questions.
They're all "True" like before. Boy, Francis is sure good at confusing people
with his questions... Make SURE you're using Peach before you enter the door.
Francis gets nervous because a "hot babe" is in his room, so he boots up a
program called Swoon.exe. Answer all his questions however you want. They have
different effects but what happens in the end always stays the same. He
eventually talks about Peach marrying him. She says something and gets mad at
YOU for picking questions for her. How dare you! She pulls out Boomer and blows
up Francis's...GRAPHICS CARD! You find out that Francis named Tippi "Francine".
THAT'S IT! TAKE HIM DOWN!
Oh, I'm sorry, I mean "LORD Francis". Yeah, no. A lot of people seem to think
this guy is funny just because he's the biggest nerd ever...I think he's
annoying. And I don't just mean the way he acts. The way he battles is
annoying, too. First off, you can't tattle on this guy when you first fight
him. You don't have Tippi until you beat him. I read that he has 40 HP total.
His attack power varies depending on how much time he has to inflict damage
on you, and you'll see what I mean in just a second. The best character to
use for this battle is Mario. Even though he has no special moves for
battling, he's got the advantage in this fight. Francis is invisible until
he's about to attack you. He can use a camera flash to make you unable to see
for a second. He lets Meowbombs fall from the ceiling to damage you. The
attack where the damage varies is when he swallows you. Until you get out, he
does more and more damage to you. To get out, you have to shake the remote.
OK, back to the reason you should use Mario. He's the only character you have
that can flip to 3D. It's easy to tell where Francis is in 3D because you can
see his shadow on the floor. Just stay close to it (not too close, though),
and jump on him when he becomes visible. You can also tell where he is by the
sound of his footsteps, but that's quite a bit harder. This battle takes a
few minutes, and it's somewhat difficult. Still, you won't have TOO much
trouble.
Finally, that loser is gone. Tippi comes out and the green Pure Heart somehow
appears. END OF CHAPTER 3-4!
INTERMISSION #3 [INT3]
<><><><><><><><><><><>
Count Bleck, Nastasia, and all of Bleck's minions are having a conversation.
Dimentio explains what happened between him and Mario. The three minions leave.
Count Bleck and Nastasia have a short conversation and they both leave.
Dimentio was eavesdropping on what they were saying.
You see another conversation between Timpani and Blumiere. Just who are they?
--Flipside--
The three heroes and Tippi start talking after they come back and Merlon comes
in. He talks about a passage he read in the Light Prognosticus. The Void grows
larger again. Before looking for the Heart Pillar, go back to Chapter 3-1.
--The Bitlands--
This is optional, but it can be very helpful. Barry is still sitting behind
that bush. Talk to him. Since you defeated Francis, he joins your party. He can
create a barrier for you, which is why his name is Barry. When enemies hit the
barrier, they get hurt, but the damage the barrier does is only half of your
regular party members' attack power. Use the Return Pipe to go back to Flipside
Tower.
--Flipside--
Go down the elevator, flip to 3D, and take the path you took last time. Instead
of going down the pipe, just go left until you get to some stumps that you can
smash down and pull up using Thudley. If you flip to 3D, the arrows on them
show you what they should look like: down, up, down, up, down. The Heart Pillar
appears. Place the Pure Heart in it to make another door appear and use the
Return Pipe to return to Flipside Tower.
"Into Outer Space"
--Outer Space--
Cool, outer space! Um, wait... There's no air, is there? We need that! Tippi
somehow brings you back to Flipside Tower.
--Flipside--
Go talk to Merlon. He had something you could use as a space helmet, but he
just got rid of it. He gave it to a boy in town. Leave his house and take the
elevator to the third floor. Talk to the boy with the fishbowl. He gives you
the fishbowl, but you have to put his fish Captain Gills in some water before
you can use it. Go to floor B1 of Flipside by going to the first floor and
taking the elevator near the diner. Then, put Captain Gills in the water. Use
the Return Pipe to get back to Flipside Tower. Go back to Chapter 4-1.
CHAPTER 4-1 [CHP4.1]
"Into Outer Space"
Enemies: Foton (8 HP), Jellien (4 HP), Warpid (10 HP)
--Outer Space--
Swimming through space...how fun! Move diagonally toward the bottom-right
corner (don't actually go there) until you see some SOS signals. Slowly follow
them until you find the source (you can tell because they're cut off right
where they start, and it's a little sparkly). Then, point the Wii Remote at the
screen and press A to reveal a spaceship. Open the spaceship. A small space
creature comes out. His name is Squirps. He's going to join you for your
journey through space. He needs you to power him up a little bit. Press A to do
this. You don't have to hold it for long. About two to three seconds should be
good. He creates a Squarp Hole for you. Go through it.
To your right are some Jelliens. They have 4 HP and 2 attack. Press 2 to shoot
them using Squirps. Use Carrie to get through here faster. Go right until you
come to a Save Block. Save and go through the Squarp Hole.
Go right to see some Fotons. They have 8 HP and 2 attack. Keep going right and
go through the lower Squarp Hole. Go through the rightmost Squarp Hole. The new
enemies are Warpids. They have 10 HP and 2 attack. Go left and through another
Squarp Hole. Go right a little bit and hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 4-1!
CHAPTER 4-2 [CHP4.2]
"A Paper Emergency"
Enemies: Beepboxer (10 HP), Boing-Oing (8 HP), Choppa (5 HP), Fuzzy (5 HP),
         Hooligon (10 HP), Ice Cherbil (5 HP), Longator (12 HP), Megabite
         (4 HP)
--Planet Blobule--
You have a short conversation with Squirps. And then you find out...he has to
go to the bathroom! Wow. What a weird alien. Go to your right to find Squirps
standing in front of a bathroom. A random bathroom in the middle of space...
That's not weird at all.
Jump up to the ledge right of the bathroom, and then to the next one. This
enemy is called a Longator. It has 12 HP and 1 attack. Jump to some blocks
above it and hit the blocks to get a coin and a Mushroom. Past the Longator is
a locked door. After you come to another Longator, if you fall into the gap,
you can get out by flipping to 3D and climbing some steps. Go right until you
see a tear a little above the ground. I wonder what that's for... Under it is a
statue of the 'Stache Brothers from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Go all
the way to the right and break the blocks. You have to break them all. Go
through the door.
Jump to the right ledge and flip to 3D. Use Slim to go through the small space.
If you hit the block you can get a Speed Flower. The enemies that look like
Sproing-Oings are called Boing-Oings. They have 8 HP and 2 attack, so their
stats are double Sproing-Oings'. Jump up to the right ledge and flip to 3D.
Jump to the ledge that's visible in 3D. Ignore the door to your right. Stand
next to it and flip to 3D. Walk down the narrow path and hit the block for Pal
Pills. Go back into 2D. The flying enemies are called Choppas. They have 5 HP
and 1 attack. Fall into the pit and flip to 3D. Go through the open space and
jump up until you get to a door. Go through it.
Hit the first three blocks after falling to your right to get a coin from each
one. Hit the last one to get a Mega Star. Go right as fast as you can. You'll
destroy a lot of Beepboxers on the way. They have 10 HP and 4 attack. You'll
also beat some Fuzzies. They have 5 HP and 1 attack. Go through the door to
your right.
Just past an Ice Cherbil, jump on top of the pipe and to a door. Go through it.
Talk to the elder and accept his offer when he sets the price to 10 coins.
You'll get an Ancient Clue. Go all the way back to the bathroom where Squirps
is waiting.
Give the guy who's in the bathroom the Ancient Clue. He uses is as...toilet
paper. A Pixl named Fleep comes out and joins you. You can select a small space
for him to flip over to see what's behind it. Now remember that tear you found
earlier? You should use him whenever you see one of those. Go back to it and
flip it over to get a key. Then unlock the door you saw earlier. If you want,
beat the Fuzzies, and then hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 4-2!
CHAPTER 4-3 [CHP4.3]
********************
"The Gates of Space"
Enemies: Eeligon (10 HP), Foton (8 HP), Hooligon (10 HP), Jellien (4 HP),
         Warpid (10 HP)
--Outer Limits (Space Bypass)--
Squirps is hungry! Did you notice he's becoming somewhat of a problem? Go to
your right. Avoid the Hedrons (the spinning bars). They only do 1 damage, but
still try to avoid them. Hit the block for a Super Shroom. After passing all
the Hedrons, use Fleep to flip over the red X. A small space that Squirps can
be placed in is created. Squish him into the space to create a gate. Pass
through it.
Go right and use Fleep on another red X. This time there are two spaces for
Squirps. Twist him into one of them. Squirps needs you to bring him something
sweet before you can progress any further. Leave him there and go right,
through a Squarp Hole.
The long red enemies are called Eeligons. They have 10 HP and 2 attack. The
ones that look like them but are green are Hooligons. They also have 10 HP and
2 attack. Go to the top-right corner of this screen. Don't go through ANY other
Squarp Holes except the one there. When you go through it, go right. Go into
the random shop called Twinkle Mart. He thinks he should've thought more about
location when he bought the place because no one comes. You think? You have
four options on what you want to buy. Any of them will do, but you should just
buy the cheapest one. Go back out the Squarp Hole. Take the one back to where
you left Squirps (you'll know because it's the only purple one in the screen).
Give the candy to Squirps and he'll be so happy that he splits into two and
fills up the other space. A gate is created. Go through it. Hit the Star Block.
END OF CHAPTER 4-3!
CHAPTER 4-4 [CHP4.4]
********************
"The Mysterious Mr. L"
Enemies: Barribad (4 HP), Hooligon (10 HP), Pigarithm (?? HP), Tileoid R
         (15 HP), Tileoid Y (10 HP), Zombie Shroom (1 HP)
--The Whoa Zone (Space Graveyard)--
Even though the name isn't anything special, this place is pretty properly
named. You'll soon see why. Squirps ditches you at the beginning. And at a time
like this? Save and go through the door.
The red Tileoid is called a Tileoid R. It has 15 HP and 2 attack. The yellow
one is a Tileoid Y. It has 10 HP and 2 attack. Hit the block for a Happy Flower
if you want coins. Above the door, jump on the platform and flip to 3D. Enter
the door here.
Hit the block if you want a Slow Flower. Inside the gap is a Pigarithm. It has
an unknown HP and 2 attack. You have to hit it three times. Each time you hit
it, it shrinks and gets faster. Use Peach to float over the gap and go through
the door.
The enemy creating a barrier is a Barribad. It has 4 HP and 2 attack. The
easiest way to beat it is to stand next to the barrier and use Bowser's fire
breath. After you beat it, grab the key from the chest. Go back two rooms and
go through the door under the platform.
By the right wall, flip to 3D. Climb the steps. Open the door to your left
and... Whoa! You're upside down! Yes, this is why it's called the Whoa Zone.
Some crazy things happen here. Go through the door to your right...or left...or
whatever! It's still on the right side so...right.
You're on the left wall now. Go up. You can just walk through the first gap,
but you need Peach to cross the second one. The second one does have a door,
but you don't need to go through it yet. Go through the door by the ceiling.
Now you're on the ground. Go to the bottom of the steps and flip to 3D. Go
through the open space and flip to 2D. Hit the switch. You're on the ceiling
again. Go right and through the door.
Cross the gap with Peach and switch to Mario. Flip to 3D and go through the
door. Go right and open the chest to get a key. See that door under you? You
have to open that. But you need to go through a lot more rooms to get to it.
Great... Go back two rooms.
Hit the block to get back on the floor. Flip to 3D and jump through the open
space. Climb up the stairs and go through the door. Go down and go through the
door in the gap. Now you're on the right wall. Go down and go through the door.
Flip to 3D and go inside the pipe. Grab all the coins and hit the coin block a
few times. Go back through the pipe. Unlock the door to your right.
Hit the switch to get on the ceiling, and hit the next one to return to the
floor. Point your Wii Remote at the screen to reveal a door. Go through it.
Go right and hit the block. You should be on the left wall. Go up and hit the
block twice. Go down and go through the door.
Go down and go through the door to appear on the floor. In the left and right
blocks are Super Shrooms. In the center one is a Zombie Shroom. Go through the
door. Now you're on the ceiling. Go left and open the chest for a key. Now go
back through the series of doors to get to the previous room.
Go down and hit the block twice. Go up and hit the other one. Go through the
door. Make sure you have at least 4 attack before continuing. Hit the switch to
get on the floor. Save and unlock the door. You finally find Squirps and he
gets mad at you for being late. Then, a voice coming out of nowhere tells
Squirps he's a smart kid. Squirps says he's embarrassed and then wonders who
just spoke. Then someone jumps on Squirps's head. Who is THAT? The Green
Thunder! AKA Mr. L! He knocks Squirps out of the way. How mean... Make him
suffer!
Who in the world is this dude? Well, we've finally come to a boss with a
pretty high attack power. Peach is the best for this battle, no doubt. This
guy is all about jumping on you, and we all know she can block that. It's not
all that easy in this battle though. Sometimes, he tries to use Shroom
Shakes. You SHOULD know what those are, but in case you don't, they heal you.
To stop him, jump on his head before he uses it. When he starts to shrink
down, sort of like a spring, DON'T jump on him. He's going to super jump,
which is how he does that 6 damage. He's a little difficult, I won't lie. It
shouldn't take too long to defeat him.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After you beat him, he summons his robot. It's called Brobot. That thing...is

|HP: 255       \
|Attack: 4      \

Wow! 255 HP! You may be thinking that, but it's not as hard as it sounds.
Don't think that means this battle isn't hard, though. It is. You just fought
Mr. L who probably did some damage to you, and now you have to fight the
enemy with the highest HP in the game, next to a Dark Muth (not a boss). This
battle is a little different since you're not using your normal attacks. You
use Squirps's fire balls. Make sure to get the power-ups. Those are quite
helpful, especially if you're like me and you don't level up enough, meaning
you can't even hurt him without the attack power-up. Brobot has a great range
of attacks. He uses lasers a lot, whether they be from his eyes or laser
bolts. He also uses homing rockets, which seem like they should be, but
aren't very hard to avoid. He can suck you in, doing about 3 damage to you.
The power-ups include attack, barrier, speed, missile, and multi-shot.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After you beat it, follow Squirps through the next door. He shows you a statue
of his mother, one of The Ancients, the queen of Squirpia, Squirpina XIV. That
means he's a prince. His full name is Squirp Korogaline Squirpina. He's still
Squirps to me! You get the cyan Pure Heart. END OF CHAPTER 4-4!
<><><><><><><><><><><>
INTERMISSION #4 [INT4]
<><><><><><><><><><><>
Nastasia, Count Bleck, and all his minions are having a conversation. You start
to find out more and more about what's going on. I really don't have to
explain... Read what they're saying if you want to know what's going on.
Nastasia said if she was "that girl" she would have done things differently.
Hm, what girl?
Blumiere wants him and Timpani to go to a place where their love will be
accepted. He also wants Timpani to marry him. After reading their conversation,
you are back in Flipside.
--Flipside--
Peach notices that Tippi has been changing, in a good way. Tippi says she's
starting to like Mario more since she's been saved from Fort Francis. Merlon
comes in and asks if they got another Pure Heart. Tippi says yes, and then
something happens to her... No! Tippi! Merlon brings them all to his house.
Merlon says that Tippi wasn't always a Pixl. He tells them all the story of
when he found her and changed her into a Pixl. The Void grows a little larger,
as you can tell by the shaking. After exiting his house, you have to find the
Heart Pillar. But this time, you're not going to take the same route as you
normally do. Go left and take the elevator down.
Go all the way to the right and get Boomer out. Use him to blow up the wall.
Flip to 3D and go behind it. Go left to find a tear in between two buildings.
Use Fleep to flip it around. Hit the switch that appears. A space is created
for you to walk behind. Go through the space, and instead of walking all the
way left, just flip to 2D from where you are. Go through the door.
--Mirror Hall--
You're in a place called the Mirror Hall. It's got pictures of The Ancients on
the wall. All you have to do is hit each block once from left to right. You can
now go to the other side of the Mirror Hall. Flip to 3D and go through the
opening. Then flip to 2D and go through the door to your left.
--Flopside--
Flopside? Weird... Flip to 3D and walk all the way to your left. Go forward and
through the opening. Flip back to 2D. Walk all the way to your right and go up
the elevator.
To the right you'll meet...Merlon? No, that's not Merlon. His name is Nolrem.
He welcomes you to town and explains how you just flip-flopped to Flopside. He
goes inside his house. The way the town is set up is EXACTLY like Flipside,
except backwards. The colors are also different, too, but you get it. So that
means you'll find the Heart Pillar on the third floor like in Flipside.
Remember, though, the outskirts of Flopside are different than those of
Flipside. So go left and take the elevator up to the third floor. Go right and
place the Pure Heart in the Heart Pillar. A new door is created on Flipside
Tower. Use the Return Pipe to get back. Tippi's better! She rejoins you. Now go
through the new door.
CHAPTER 5-1 [CHP5.1]
********************
"Downtown of Crag"
Enemies: Back Cursya (1 HP), Floro Sapien (12 HP), Megabite (4 HP), Moon Cleft
         (5 HP), Muth (100 HP), Putrid Piranha (5 HP), Shlorp (?? HP)
--Downtown of Crag--
You come through the door and find out you're in midair! And...you fall. You
see two villagers called Cragnons talking to some guy who they call Big Rock
Who Watches. That turns out to be you! They want you to hook them up, brah!
Once you fall, they think you were sent by Big Rock Who Watches, so they carry
you away.
They tell you you're in Land of the Cragnons. They need you to help them. Tell
them you will. Some guy comes in and says King Croacus has returned. Who's
he...? Walk outside the house. Two new enemies approach you and think you're a
rare breed of the Cragnons. These are called Floro Sapiens. They have 12 HP and
3 attack. After beating them, you see some more Floro Sapiens carrying off
Cragnons. Follow them! Go all the way to the right. Just so you know, like in
the previous Paper Mario games, you can find Whacka in this game. If you flip
to 3D and use Slim by the door, you can get to him. If you whack him too many
times, he leaves and doesn't come back, just so you know. He can give you a
Whacka Bump, though, which are pretty helpful. Go through the door.
Since this chapter is pretty boring, I'm going to get you through it quick.
Before running left, watch out for the Moon Clefts. They're kind of hard to see
when they're just sitting there. They're like Bald Clefts, but are colored
differently and have spikes. They have 5 HP, 2 attack, and 4 defense. The thing
coming out of the pipe when you walk near it is a Putrid Piranha. It has 5 HP
and 2 attack. Go past the pipe and hit the block for a Happy Flower. Climb up
the ledges until you get to the highest level. Use Peach to float over the gap.
Fall into the next one. Instead of sending you back to ask the guy what to do,
I'll just tell you. Hit the blocks in this order: left, right, middle. A pipe
appears. Go through it.
Those huge things to your right are Muths, and they definitely aren't weak.
They have 100 HP and 5 attack. I do suggest killing them, even though there are
quite a lot. They'll be in your way if you don't. Use Bowser to kill them. Just
breathe his fire and they shouldn't take too long to beat. You come to three
more blocks at the end. I'm going to tell you the order, and when I say this,
I'm not joking: middle, right, left, left, right, middle, right, left, right,
right, middle, right, right, left, middle, middle, left, left, left, right,
left, left, left, middle, middle. OK, a little too many steps...but it worked.
A pipe appears. Use it to get into the background. Walk as far right as you can
and use another pipe to get into the foreground. Hit the Star Block. END OF
CHAPTER 5-1!
CHAPTER 5-2 [CHP5.2]
********************
"Pixls, Tablets, and Crag"
Enemies: Amazy Dayzee (30 HP), Cheep-Cheep (2 HP), Cherbil (5 HP), Clubba
         (20 HP), Ghoul Shroom (10 HP), Moon Cleft (5 HP), Pokey (6 HP), Putrid
         Piranha (5 HP), Rawbus (10 HP), Squog (10 HP), Stone Buzzy (3 HP),
         Tech Cursya (1 HP)
--Gap of Crag--
Right of you are some Pokeys. They each have 6 HP and 2 attack. Use Carrie to
defeat them. You haven't seen any Squiglets or Squigs lately. Now we have
Squogs. They have 10 HP and 2 attack. After you pass the Squogs, jump into the
water. Avoid the Cheep-Cheeps and go as far down as you can. Somehow, the water
just stops. Open the chest. You get a Water Tablet. Jump on the chest and you
can get back into the water. Go to the surface and go through the door.
The Floro Sapiens go down a pipe and cover it with a block that you cannot
break. You need to get something that can break it. Go left, past the Putrid
Piranha, and you'll see a Clubba. They have 20 HP and 3 attack. Next to it are
some blocks under a door. Flip to 3D and go behind the blocks. Use Boomer to
blow them up and flip to 2D. Jump on the switch. Now you can get to the door.
Go through it.
Go right to find a Rawbus. They have 10 HP and 2 attack. Beat them the same way
you would a Jawbus. The Cursya behind it is called a Tech Cursya. It has 1 HP
and 1 attack, and if you touch it, it disables your special abilities
temporarily. Flip to 3D when you're near it. You'll see a lot of blocks. Take
the left path down to a lower level. Go right and use Bowser's flame on the
stone. Hold it. The shape of a star starts to appear and the stone breaks. Grab
the Fire Tablet and go back through the door. Go pretty far to the right and go
through the door.
Use the platform to get across and walk right. GASP! It's O'Chunks! ...And
Dimentio? That can't be good. But wait...Dimentio doesn't want to fight. He
puts you both in Dimension D. Here we go!
Him again? He's exactly twice as strong as last time, yet still nothing
To the right are some Stone Buzzies. They have 3 HP and 2 attack. To beat them,
you have to crack their shell by jumping on them three times. If you flip to
3D, you can see an Amazy Dayzee. They have 30 HP and 10 attack. So now there's
only one type of Dayzee you haven't seen yet. Flip to 3D at the end to see a
statue of a Yoshi. Quickly walk around it and a Stone Tablet appears on its
nose. Grab it. Go back to where the block is that's covering the pipe.
Left of it, jump up a few times above the Putrid Piranha. Use the blocks to get
really high up. Once you get to the top, stand in the center and jump to reveal
a hidden ladder. Climb it to the top. Walk to either side at the top and flip
to 3D to get up higher. From left to right, place the tablets in this order:
stone, water, fire. After that, a Pixl named Cudge appears. He wants you to
talk to him, so say fine. He asks what your catch phrase is. Too bad it can
only be eight characters. Oh well, put in what you want and he decides to
scream it out. Then, he joins you. Fall to the right and use him to break the
block. Go through the pipe. Fall to the right and hit the Star Block. END OF
CHAPTER 5-2!
CHAPTER 5-3 [CHP5.3]
********************
"A Crag in the Dark"
Enemies: Buzzy Beetle (1 HP), Floro Cragnon (10 HP), Floro Sapien (12 HP),
         Piranha Plant (2 HP), Putrid Piranha (5 HP), Spania (6 HP),
         Spike Top (1 HP), Zombie Shroom (1 HP)
--Floro Caverns--
Honestly, I don't like this place much. It's too dark and...yeah, I don't like
dark. Unfortunately, this is the setting of this chapter and the next one, so
let's get started.
Go right and jump across a few blocks to get a Super Shroom. Jump up and go
right to meet Flint Cragley. This guy has the highest-rated news program in all
of Crag. He's a bit of a strange guy...and I'm pretty sure mostly everyone
would think that. Mario tells him about the Pure Heart. When you walk towards
the pipe he asks you to look for his two crew members. Apparently, they have a
key that you need, so you have to. Go down the pipe.
Jump down to see the locked door. To your right is a Spike Top. It's like a
Buzzy Beetle, but with a spike. It has 1 HP, 2 attack, and 3 defense. Go to
your right and down the second pipe.
If you hit the block you can get some Pal Pills. The orange spiral-like enemy
is a Spania. It has 6 HP and 1 attack. A little more to the left in the gap
where the Spania is you can find a hidden block. Jump on that to find another
hidden block with a Mushroom. If you hit the first block in the bottom row of
the next set of blocks you can get another Mushroom. After that, you can get a
Speed Flower from another block. Continue right and go through the first door
you see.
Ooh, a mine cart! Jump in it and immediately flip to 3D. Your gauge won't go
down. If you were to continue without going into 3D, you would come to a pipe.
If you went through it, you would find a LOT of Floro Cragnons in 3D. They're
just brainwashed Cragnons. They have 10 HP and 1 attack. But if you kill them,
you lose points. Anyways, after the cart ride is over, go through the door.
Go a little right, past the Floro Sapien, and use Peach to float over the gap.
Climb up a few steps and fall into the gap. Talk to the first member of Flint's
crew, Hornfels. He goes back to flint. After you get him, go back through the
door, get on the cart ride, and go back through the door.
Move a good distance to your right and either use the jump pad, or flip to 3D
to pass over the tower of blocks. Break the block with Cudge and go through the
door.
Go on the mine cart. This one goes UPSIDE DOWN! Flip to 3D if you want. Your
gauge doesn't go down and it looks cool that way. Go through the door after the
ride is over.
Go right and jump onto a row of blocks. Use Cudge to break them when you get to
a wall, or flip to 3D. Go right and jump to a higher ledge. Talk to the second
member of Flint's crew, Monzo. He goes back to Flint. Fall over the ledge and
go back to Flint, as well.
After going back, you find out that neither Hornfels nor Monzo has the key.
Don't tell me... WHY, FLINT? WHY?! Ugh, what an idiot. He gives you the key.
Take it and go through the locked door. Another mine cart! This is the last
one, so enjoy it! After finishing, go through the door.
Break the block with Cudge. Break about two blocks on the right side of the
item block and then hit it to get a Mega Star. Run! After making it to the end,
if you do, you'll have to go back a little bit and break the block. Go through
the door behind it and hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 5-3!
CHAPTER 5-4 [CHP5.4]
********************
"The Menace of King Croacus"
Enemies: Blomeba (5 HP), Cursya (1 HP), Floro Cragnon (10 HP), Floro Sapien
         (12 HP), Heavy Cursya (1 HP), Reversya Cursya (1 HP), Spania (6 HP),
         Zombie Shroom (1 HP)
--Floro Caverns (continued)--
Flint starts to practice for his stupid news-thing, and then you finally get to
start. Go right a little bit and drop down. Go to the left and go through a
pipe. You see a Floro Cragnon come out of a door. There's nothing you can do
inside that door right now, so ignore it. Drop down even more and hit the block
for some Pal Pills. Pass the pipe that lets out the Floro Sapiens. When you're
in a section that's slightly lower than the regular ground, flip to 3D and drop
in the gap. Flip back to 2D. Grab a Floro Cragnon with Thoreau and stand on the
red switch. A pipe appears. Go through it.
Go through the leftmost pipe. You see that skull on the wall above the door?
Use Fleep on it to get a key. Go back through the pipe, and the one from which
you entered. Flip to 3D and climb the ladder to get out. Unlock the rightmost
door.
Jump over the stack of blocks to find a normal Cragnon, named Gabbro, and a
Pixl. When Gabbro finds out that Flint's in the caverns, he gets excited.
Seriously, who gets excited over him? The Pixl makes Gabbro small and Gabbro
goes through a small door. After that, the Pixl, Dottie, joins you. You've
already seen what she can do. When you're like that, enemies also can't see
you. There are some small shops called Itty Bits shops that she can help you
get in. Off the top of my head, I can think of two (even though I know of
more): the one next to the Dotwood Tree and in Flopside on floor B1. Use her to
get out of the door that Gabbro just went through. Remember the door you saw
the Floro Cragnon come out of when you entered this room? Go through that one
now.
Go left and you can go through a really small space you wouldn't have been able
to before. Grab the Card Key at the end. Insert under the red space next to the
door. Go through the door and you'll be in the Processing Center of the
caverns.
Hit the block for a Super Shroom. Go through the leftmost pipe. Fall over the
left edge and ground pound, using Thudley, on the large switch. You've set all
the Floro Cragnons loose! Jump across the blocks to the left to get a Catch
Card. Jump all the way to the right and go through the pipe.
You hear a voice as soon as you enter. No... Is that who I think it is? Yup, it
is. Dimentio and O'Chunks! He brings you to Dimension D. He plants something on
O'Chunks's head. Umm, OK? I guess we're having another battle.
The same Mini-Boss in the same chapter, and twice in a row. Oh no, I'm sorry.
Now we're fighting O'Cabbage, so that makes a big difference. Not. He's three
times as strong as he was the first time. He's a little bit tough if you're
low on HP. He's really fast this time, though. That makes it quite a bit more
difficult than last time. Only use Bowser if you have high HP. Otherwise, use
Peach. After all, she's got a parasol. We all know that just by holding an
umbrella you can become invincible, right?
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
The sprout falls off his head after you beat him. The sprout was used to
brainwash him, so he doesn't remember fighting you. He's about ready to fight
you again, but he gets hungry, so he doesn't. He leaves after that. Now you can
wear the sprout he dropped, but it doesn't brainwash you. Did you notice that's
what the Floro Cragnons were wearing? Leave it on for now. Go through the
rightmost pipe. You see a cutscene with Dimentio saying that you're coming
along quite nicely, since you could beat that model of O'Chunks. Just what is
he planning?

Go back through the door. Jump up a few blocks and go through the pipe. Jump up
the steps to your right and go to the end of the hallway. Go through the door.

You see a Floro Cragnon go behind a scanner and he gets, well, scanned! Make
sure you have the Floro Sprout on. When you do, go through the scanner. Now
it's OK to take it off. Go through the door.

There are four pictures of the earlier King Croacus's. You'll have to blow up
the floor under each one. Flip to 3D in front of the first one and use Boomer.
Fall in the gap (try not to hit the Floro Cragnon) and hit the item block for a
Super Shroom. You want the block above it to be the same color as the
background of the picture, so jump to it from the item block until it turns
black. Climb the ladder and blow up the floor under the next one in 3D. Use
Thoreau to change the color on this one to gray. Ignore the blue one, because
the block under it is already blue (but if you need more HP then you should go
under it). The red one doesn't seem like the floor should break, because
there's no cracks, but it does. Hit the block once to make it turn red. Hit the
Save Block. Go through the new door.

Oooooooo-weeee-ooooooo! It's King Croacus...IV! He needs the Floro Cragnons to
work for him so he can have more gems for his bejeweled palace. He shows you
the Pure Heart, but obviously, he won't give it to you. Looks like a fight to
me!

I'd really like to know what in the world they were thinking calling this
guy a king. It would've been perfect if he were a queen. Just look at him!
Well, whatever. He's got two forms, but I only count it as one boss because
the forms share the HP. The best combination is definitely Peach and Thoreau.
Grab the...arms, let's say, and throw them at his face when it's not hidden.
Stand on the others to get higher up to his face. They'll aim directly at you
when attacking, so watch out. Actually, there's another easy way to do this.
You can use Bowser and Carrie. Use Carrie to jump and use Bowser's flame. He
can't use flame in the air unless using Carrie. You choose which strategy to
use. Now he'll go into his second form, where you can do the same thing with
Bowser if you want. By using Peach and Thoreau, it's easiest to grab King
Croacus and throw him at the blades he releases. You don't need to wait until
he shows his face that way. Use the bigger blades to inflict more damage. If
you throw the blades at him, wait until you see his face. He's actually very

After you beat him, a few Floro Sapiens come in and tell you that the only
reason the king was mad was because the Cragnons were polluting the water.
After a lot of talking, the Floro Sapiens decide to give you the blue Pure
Heart. END OF CHAPTER 5-4!

<><><><><><><><><><><>
INTERMISSION #5 [INT5]
<><><><><><><><><><><>

Nastasia is punishing O'Chunks for losing to Mario again. She's making him sing
a song 1,000 times. I don't know about you, but I think that must really suck.
Mimi comes in and gets mad about him yelling, and then asks where Count Bleck
is. She's bored because he hasn't had her do anything for quite a while. The
last time Mario saw her was in Chapter 2. Mr. L then comes in and says he wants
to use Brobot again. Nastasia orders them to stay until the count comes.
Dimentio appears and says that they must follow orders. Mimi and Mr. L make an
excuse and then leave.

Blumiere and Timpani are gazing at the stars. Timpani says that if you wish on
a star, your wish will come true. But she doesn't need to wish. She has
everything she wants already.

--Flipside--

Tippi was just remembering something that happened. After that, The Void grows
again. Go down the elevator. Merlon asks if you noticed the sky lately. He also
says that he received a message from Nolrem. Someone on the outskirts of
Flopside spotted a Heart Pillar, so let's look for it. First, go to the second
floor of Flopside.

--Flopside--

You can pay a guy named Welderberg (he's in 3D) 300 coins to make a pipe from
here to Flipside. It's a lot faster then walking there every time. You should
do it if you have enough coins. Stand in front of the elevator to Flopside
Tower and flip to 3D. Go through the gate, like you would in Flipside. Go to
the end of the path and flip back to 2D. Go left and smash the block with
Cudge. Go down the pipe.

Go right and when you come to a sign between two pillars, flip to 3D. Go to the
end of the path and use Dottie to get under and past the blocks. Go left and
break the block. Jump on the switch to make the Heart Pillar rise. Place the
Pure Heart in it.

OK, before I say anything, this is completely optional, but it's definitely
helpful. It'll take a little while (around twenty to twenty-five minutes), but
it's easy. When you do this, you'll be able to get an extra Pixl. The best
thing about this Pixl is that it will help you with a somewhat difficult boss.
It can also cure curses that Cursyas put on you. If you're going to do this,
don't use the Return Pipe. Instead, just walk back to the second floor of
Flopside.

You remember Merlee, don't you? Now she's doing fortune-telling in Flopside.
Left of the elevator to Flopside Tower is where you can find her now. Go inside
and talk to her on HER side of the table. She wants you to do her a favor. This
turns into a whole chain of favors, actually. Accept anyway. She wants you to
go to Merluvlee and get the Crystal Ball for her. Use the Return Pipe (or if
you paid Welderberg, use that pipe).

--Flipside--

Fall to the right of the tower and go down the elevator. Go left and into
Merluvlee's place. Talk to Merluvlee on her side of the table. She already
knows about you coming to get the Crystal Ball. She's a fortune-teller, after
all. She needs you to do a favor before she can give it to you. Bestovius, the
Flip Wizard, offered her some training equipment. She needs you to pick it up.
Use the Return Pipe. All of this will take place in Chapter 1 (and in
Flipside/Flopside). Go to Chapter 1-1.

--Lineland Road--

Go see Bestovius. In order for him to give you the Training Machine, he needs
you to get the You-Know-What from Old Man Watchitt. After you do that, he'll
give you the Training Machine. Use the Return Pipe and go to Chapter 1-2. Then
travel to Yold Town.

--Yold Town--

Go see Old Man Watchitt. He needs you to do something for him. Oh, goody! A
strange lady showed up in his dreams and talked about something. He shows you
what she looked like. Hey, that's Merlumina! He wants her out of his dreams.
Yet, he wants her autograph. He gives you a piece of paper, which the game
spells with a capital P. Use the Return Pipe and go to Chapter 1-4.

--Yold Ruins--

Go all the way to where you fought Fracktail, go through the door, and wait at
the bottom of the steps. Make SURE you don't hit the Star Block. She'll come in
and tell you a long story, and you fall asleep a few times. She gets mad at you
for that. She had a problem sleeping, but now she can. She signs the paper, and
it becomes an Autograph!

Bring the autograph to Watchitt to get the You-Know-What. Bring the You-Know-
What to Bestovius to get the Training Machine. Bring the Training Machine to
Merluvlee to get the Crystal Ball.

--Flopside--

Bring the Crystal Ball to Merlee and she gives you the Random House Key. Go to
the first floor of Flopside. Go all the way left, flip to 3D, get behind the
wall, and go back into 2D. Walk right to find a locked door. Unlock it. Inside,
you'll find a large chest. Open it. A Pixl comes out. Her name is Piccolo. She
plays music. How is that helpful? Well, like I said, it's how you can easily
defeat the boss and cure curses. There's a different song for each party member
you have. Use the Return Pipe.

--Flipside--

You can now go to the next chapter, but I suggest that you get a few healing
items first. You should also DEFINITELY save, because if you die in the next
chapter, which is very possible, you'll lose Piccolo. You spent quite a bit of
time getting her, so you wouldn't want to lose her.

CHAPTER 6 [CHP6]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
********************
CHAPTER 6-1 [CHP6.1]
********************
"Sammer Guy Showdown"
Enemies: Big Sammer Guy (30-99 HP), Ninjoe (6 HP), Ninjohn (8 HP), Ninjerry
         (10 HP), Sammer Guy (10-80 HP), Small Sammer Guy (1 HP)
--Sammer's Kingdom--
The Void is huge here! This world doesn't have much time left. Now, if you
looked above, you can see that some of the enemies have super high HP. Don't
worry. You won't even see most of the guys with the really high HP yet, but
they're here. Those guys are just for an after-game challenge. I don't think
you see any Ninjohns or Ninjerries either. Go right and go through the door.
You see a guy run away. The guy who was fighting him is wondering when the hero
of legend will appear. Your character runs up to him. He says his name is Jade
Blooper. He's the guardian of the first gate. He seems to want to fight you, so
let him have it! It only takes a few hits. After you beat him, he says you can
go to the next gate. What next gate? The king of Sammer's Kingdom is shown. His
name is King Sammer, ruler of the Sammer Guys! He shows you the Pure Heart. He
wants to know if you are the true hero, so it's required that you defeat all of
his vassals in a tournament. All 100 of his vassals come in. After you beat all
100 of them, he will give you the Pure Heart. Yikes! You have a lot of fighting
to do, so you'd better get started.
You actually don't have to beat all of them. That's just way too many. That
would be the reason you don't see all the enemies listed above. You actually do
see big and small Sammer Guys, but you only see two big and one small, and they
have rather low stats. You have to fight 19 more rounds.
Usually people use Bowser and Barry for the Sammer Guy Challenge. I think it's
best to use Peach and Cudge. For one thing, it's possible you don't have Barry.
It's also easier to defend with Peach, and if you use Cudge to attack, you
really don't need Bowser. There's not much I need to help you with. I have a
few tips for you, though. When you get to a Big Sammer Guy (on gates 10 and
20), immediately run left so they don't hit you. When you get to the Small
Sammer Guy (on gate 18), press down IMMEDIATELY so the thing doesn't hurt you.
They move FAST. Regular Sammer Guys have anywhere from 10-80 HP, 1-8 attack,
and 0-3 defense. Big Sammer Guys have from 30-99 HP, 3-10 attack, and 0-4
defense. And Small Sammer Guys have only 1 HP and 2-5 attack. So start
fighting.
After beating the Big Sammer Guy at the 20th gate, Count Bleck appears. He
talks about the destruction of the world, and Tippi says that his idea is
horrible. He gets mad about being lectured by a Pixl. She tells him that all
living things have a heart, and he can't just erase them. He says nothing is
more worthless than the heart. He also says everything is meaningless, except
for Timpani. Timpani... Don't we know her? After that, Count Bleck leaves. Go
to the 25th gate. You don't have to fight anymore. Just go there and hit the
Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 6-1!
CHAPTER 6-2 [CHP6.2]
********************
"The End of a World"
--Sammer's Early Duels--
This is where the game starts to get really good. King Sammer says he'll give
you the Pure Heart even though you haven't beaten all 100 guys, because the
situation is grave. He says the Pure Heart is on the 26th gate. Go there and
open the chest. What the...? He put a bomb there? That's not King Sammer...
That's Mimi! She's one evil little girl, isn't she? Whichever party member you
have out tells her to get out of the way. Of course, it's never that easy.
Let's go!
She's got really low HP this time, and if you use the strategy I give you,
she's not TOO hard. If you want more of a challenge, which makes it more fun,
beause she's got a barrier of rubees, even though that doesn't matter if you
can hit her when she's got the barrier. She can drop rubees on you and flip
to 3D, but you still shouldn't use Mario. Don't let her hit you, or
obviously, you take damage. If you use Bowser and Carrie, and breathe fire at
her while jumping, it takes just a few hits. It sure doesn't help that we
just fought a ton of enemies and lost a ton of HP. 25 HP isn't a lot, but she
isn't quite as easy as she looks. She can make your HP go down FAST. Good
luck!
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After battling her, you find out that she was just trying to stall you. She
leaves, and you have to try to get Pure Heart. Go through some more gates. When
you get to the 31st gate, The Void sucks the world in...and that's the end of
Sammer's Kingdom...

--Flipside--

Tippi says she thinks she knows Count Bleck from somewhere. She tries to
remember where she knows him from. They all wake up. Peach asks what happened
to Sammer's Kingdom. Tippi notices the door to Sammer's Kingdom is still there.
She thinks you should go back through it. I suggest you heal, if you need to,
before going back through. You should also save. After you do, head back
through the door.

CHAPTER 6-1 (POST-DESTRUCTION) [CHP6.3]
***************************************

--The World of Nothing--

Ugh, so bare! There's some creepy music here now. It makes you feel like
something could happen at any time. Get Carrie out. Use her and go right. It
takes about a minute and a half when you use her. Make sure to jump over that
random table and chair when you get to it, and then keep going.

Eventually, you'll get to the Pure Heart. Why does it look different, though?
You hear a voice. Oh, that doesn't sound good... It's Mr. L! Obviously, there's
going to be some fighting here. He summons his new and improved version of
Brobot.

Peach and Boomer are the ones who should fight this battle. You pretty much
need Boomer for this fight, but Peach is optional. But since you can almost
only do damage with Boomer, you should use Peach because of her defense

on the ground and let him explode. Brobot's feet are his weak points, so
that's why you want Boomer there. Try to do it even when he's not off the
ground. That way, you're risking taking some damage, but you're going to kill
him faster. His attacks are like last time, but you're not in space so the
way they look is just a bit different. When he goes really high up, put
Boomer down right where you are and run to the left or right to avoid him,
and when he drops to the ground, let Boomer explode. This is actually one of
the more difficult battles.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Upon beating him, Tippi calls him weak. OOH, BURN! He also drops the Pure
<><><><><><><><><><><>
INTERMISSION #6 [INT6]
<><><><><><><><><><><>
You see a cutscene with Mr. L and Dimentio. Mr. L says he can't show his face
to the count after being defeated, so Dimentio tries to make him disappear.
After Mr. L tries to stop him, Dimentio tries again and is successful.
Nastasia is telling Count Bleck about what happened to Mr. L and Mimi. Nastasia
then leaves. Count Bleck wonders if the Pixl he saw could've been Timpani. If
she WAS...then he would have to be... Nah, probably not.
Blumiere is talking to someone else this time. They tell him that Timpani no
longer resides in that world. The person says that their kind and humans should
never mix.
--Flipside--
This is going to be the longest intermission yet (but not if you got Piccolo).
Go see Merlon. He tells you to stop the prophecy, you have to defeat Count
Bleck. And he talks a little more and then he shuts up... Yeah, why am I
telling you what they're saying? You're playing the game, aren't you? You hear
a voice. Dimentio! He says that you can't restore the Pure Heart in this world,
so he sends the three heroes to a different world, leaving all the Pixls
behind.
Enemies: Cherbil (5 HP), Dry Bones (10 HP), Frost Piranha (7 HP), Ice Cherbil
         (5 HP), Lava Bubble (1 HP), Poison Cherbil (5 HP), Underhand (?? HP)
--The Underwhere--
You wake up in a strange place. A creature called a Shayde comes up to you and
says that your game is over since you're there. He tells you the place you're
in his called The Underwhere. Some call it World -1. If you go right and jump
in the fountain, you will be completely healed. Go through the door.
Go right. You hear someone singing. You see a girl sitting on top of a pipe.
She's looking for her prince, and then she sees you. Yea! Didst thou hear her
pine for an old, mustachioed fatty?! Heh. After that rude thing leaves, flip to
3D and go around the pipes. At the end you'll come to a Super Shroom Shake on
top of a pipe. By the way, those enemies you were passing were called Dry
Bones. They have 10 HP and 2 attack. The jumping flames are called Lava
Bubbles, with 1 HP and 4 attack. Go through the door.
The guy ahead will take you across the River Twygz (that's what the river in
front of you is called, obviously) for 4 coins. That IS pretty cheap, but you
can swim across it yourself and go faster than he will with the boat, so what's
the point? After swimming across, go through the door.
Go up the steps and head right. You'll pass some D-Men. D-Man is a pun on
demon. They serve the mistress of The Underwhere. I thought the devil was a
man. Then again, it's just a game. All the way to the right is the queen
herself, Queen Jaydes. She tells you about how if your sins are light enough,
then you will get sent to The Overthere. If not, you're spending the rest of
your life...death, rather...in The Underwhere. What could these two places be
representing? She senses a strange energy and finds out that you have a Pure
Heart. She asks why you have it, and then gets a phone call. That was random.
After that, she asks you to help. The king of The Overthere, Grambi, said one
of the Nimbis was missing. She came to The Underwhere. Accept. Her name is
Luvbi, mind you. You get a key. Go back an area.
The guy with the boat is on the other side this time. This is the only time he
does that. It's probably because it's the last time you'll have to go left to
get out of the river. But for right now, you're not leaving the river. Try to
center yourself in the River Twygz and go down. Those skeleton-like hands are
called Underhands. They have an unknown HP, defense, and 1 attack. You can't
hurt them, so just avoid them. Once you're at the bottom, flip to 3D and swim
down the gap. Go through the door.
Swim right, avoiding the Underhand. Push the block over the right edge. Flip
the switch to drain the water. Jump on the block, then the pipe, and to the
right edge. Hit one of the blocks (or more if you want to) and then go back and
flip the switch to fill the place with water again. Swim up, past where the
blocks you just broke were, and keep going until you get to a dead end. Flip to
3D. Go down the short hallway and flip back to 2D. Swim over the gap and keep
going until you come to a movable block. Flip to 3D to get behind it and push
it left until it falls over the edge. Flip the switch right of it to drain the
water. Use the block and pipe to get back up and jump into the gap where the
Underhand is. In the middle, flip to 3D and go down the hallway. Go inside the
pipe for some coins, and go through the door.
Jump on the fountain platforms and go to the ledge. Someone's talking... LUIGI!
He doesn't know why he's there. Somehow, he just got there. He thinks one of
Count Bleck's followers must've sent him there. He wants to help you look for
Luvbi. He joins your party! Go right and press down to use his Super Jump,
which will get you pretty high up. It's enough to get to the ledge. Travel back
through the River Twygz. You'll have to use Luigi's Super Jump, but you can
figure out when to. Once you've travelled back through all doors, jump to the
left side of the river and go through that door.
You can use Luigi's Super Jump to get past all of the pipes, but it's faster
with Mario in 3D. Once you pass them all again, stand next to the door and use
Luigi's Super Jump to get atop the taller pipe. Jump to the ledge. The enemy
inside the pipe is called a Frost Piranha. It has 7 HP and 4 attack. Go right
and pass all the pipes. Go through the door.
Someone's singing again. It has to be that girl. Wait...that must be Luvbi! Do
as you just did; pass all of the pipes. She's looking for her prince again. She
insults you and ask what you want. Whoever you're using says that they came to
find her. She thinks you want to be her prince. To prove that you're supposed
to be, you have to tell her her name. So answer Luvbi. She flies away. No, this
isn't a game of hide-and-go-seek. You just have to go find her one more time,
and you probably know what to do, anyway.
Go back to Queen Jaydes. Luvbi is there with her. She insults you again, and
Jaydes makes her apologize. Of course, that just leads to another "hairy" joke.
As thanks, the queen gives you the revitalized purple Pure Heart. She also says
that she found out you were somehow sent to The Underwhere while still alive.
When you want to go back to Flipside, just tell her and you can go there.
--Flipside--
You're back on Flipside Tower. Tippi brought Merlon there and Merlon is
surprised to see you. You go to Merlon's house. Luigi introduces himself to
Tippi, and she thinks she's seen him before. She thinks he might be the fourth
hero. Merlon thinks so because of something he read from the Light
Prognosticus. All of your Pixls rejoin you. Let's find the Heart Pillar. Go to
Flopside's second floor.
--Flopside--
Stand in front of the tower's elevator. Flip to 3D and go down the left path.
Back in 2D, go down the pipe to your left. Go as far right as you can and go
through the pipe. Go all the way left and jump over the wall using Luigi. Place
the Pure Heart in the Heart Pillar. Use the Return Pipe and go through the new
door.
CHAPTER 7-1 [CHP7.1]
********************
"Subterranean Vacation"
Enemies: Cherbil (5 HP), Dry Bones (10 HP), Frost Piranha (7 HP), Ice Cherbil
         (5 HP), Lava Bubble (1 HP), Poison Cherbil (5 HP), Underhand (?? HP)
--The Underwhere--
Why are we back here? Well, whatever. This is the shortest chapter of the game.
Go to Queen Jaydes and talk to her. Tippi tells her you're collecting Pure
Hearts. She notices that you look like the hero. Luvbi is going back to The
Overthere. Jaydes has an idea. She wants you to take her back because a monster
has escaped from The Underwhere and it's not safe. If you do, she'll tell King
Grambi you're searching for the Pure Heart. Say yes. Jaydes creates a door. Go
through it and hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 7-1!
CHAPTER 7-2 [CHP7.2]
********************
"The Sealed Doors Three"
Enemies: Dark Boo (13 HP), Dry Bones (10 HP), Dull Bones (15 HP), Spiny Tromp
         (?? HP), Underhand (?? HP)
--Underwhere Road--
Luvbi makes a little remark to annoy Tippi, who refers to her as a "walking
mood swing". That seems right to me. Go through the door.
It's kind of difficult to see here because it's so dark. It's only lighted
wherever you're standing. You should be able to see Luvbi a little bit. Follow
her. Jump up to a higher level and hit the block for a Mushroom. It's rather
easy to figure out what you have to do by yourself since Luvbi is leading you
through the whole thing. Use the squares to get to different ledges, too.
You'll see a new enemy called a Dark Boo. They have 13 HP and 2 attack. Once
you get to the top you find out you can't get through the door. Point the
remote at it and press A. Ah! It lives! His name is Dorguy the First. If you
want to pass, you have to answer some stupid questions. The only hard one is
the last one because you don't expect what he's going to ask. I'll just give
you the answers. Pass through when you finish.
1. Queen Jaydes
2. Dorguy the First
3. 6 times
Hit the Save Block, go right and talk to the three D-Men. They say they've
trapped the beast that escaped from The Underwhere behind the door they're
guarding. They'll give you the key to the other door if you can defeat it. They
think you're crazy for wanting to. Anyways, go inside to find...Bowser! He's
glad to see you at first, but then goes a little crazy and says you want to
"break up what him and Peach have going". They have nothing going, though! You
get him mad and he starts a battle.
Truthfully, he's not much harder than last time. He would be a lot harder if
you didn't have Carrie, but you do! Just use either Mario or Luigi and jump
on him with Carrie...that's it. He's got the same attacks as last time,
they're just stronger.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After beating him, Tippi explains what happened to all of them. He calls you an
idiot for not telling him that. He then rejoins your party and the current
party member goes out. The D-Men are surprised to hear that you beat him. It
would be funny if you could walk out as Bowser, heh. You get the key. Save and
go through the locked door.

Use Bowser to ignite a torch. Switch back to Mario and follow Luvbi. You have
to jump up reeeally high. It's best to use Mario because Bowser's too slow, and
Luigi slides too much. Near the top the flame will probably go out. So jump up
all the steps until you come to a door. Point the remote at it and press A.
It's Dorguy the Second. Go through when you're done here. Here are the answers
to his quiz:

1. 3
2. 2
3. Blue
4. 4
5. Triangles

Go left to see another locked door and a random pink door with hearts on it. Go
through the pink one. There are three women here. They can all give you rewards
for running their errands, some being better than others. One can say thank
you, in big letters! Another can give you a helpful hint, which you really
won't need because I'll tell you what to do, anyways. It's also a bad time in
the game to be learning the hint. The last one can give you the key through the
next door. Talk to that one, who is wearing the purple dress. Her name is
Hagra. She needs you to get her Diet Book from a D-Man. Tell her you will do
it. She sends you to him. At least you don't have to physically walk back.

Talk to the D-Man and he'll give it to you. You've already been here, so I
don't have to explain how to get back to Hagra. This is actually the beginning
of this chapter. Go back to her and return the book. She'll give you the key.
Go through the door.

You're outside. Put a flame on the torch. Use Luigi to get to a high-up level.
Go right, jumping to the next level of stairs when you need to. Avoid the Spiny
Tromps by going into 3D. When in front of the door, make sure you have Bowser
out or this is going to be harder. Point the remote at the door and press A.
It's Dorguy the Third. Unlike the other doors, he won't give you a quiz.
Instead, he'll give you...a Mini-Boss?!

Um, apparently we're having a turn-based battle here. And it's, like, retro!
It shows no action like the other Paper Mario games. It only shows text. I
told you Piccolo would be helpful! Use her to put it to sleep. It'll wake up
if you don't kill it fast enough, though, which you probably won't, so you'll
have to use her again. After that, just use Thudley on it until you win. It's
pretty simple, but not exactly easy if you don't use the right strategy.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Well that was fun. Go through Dorguy the Third and hit the Star Block. END OF
CHAPTER 7-3 [CHP7.3]
********************
"The Forbidden Apple"
Enemies: Beepboxer (10 HP), Cherbil (5 HP), Ice Cherbil (5 HP), Lakitu (4 HP),
         Parabuzzy (1 HP), Poison Cherbil (5 HP), Rawbus (10 HP), Reversya
         Cursya (1 HP), Ruff Puff (15 HP), Skellobait (5 HP), Skellobit
         (10 HP), Skellobomber (10 HP), Spiky Parabuzzy (1 HP), Spiky
         Skellobait (5 HP), Spiky Skellobit (10 HP), Spiny (4 HP), Squig
         (4 HP), Squog (10 HP)
--Overthere Stair--
As you can see, there's quite a large range of enemies in this area. I don't
particularly like this place, but this chapter is rather long, and so is the
next chapter, which is basically just like this place. This is also where it
gets hard for me to tell you what to do, but I'll try. Let's get going!
STAIR 1
Luvbi says if you head upward you'll get to The Overthere. Jump up a few clouds
and get on the platform to be taken up. On your way, there will be a cloud to
your right with some coins, along with a similar one to your left that's higher
up. You want to get on the left one. Use Luigi's Super Jump to get to a higher
cloud. Go left, by an Ice Cherbil, and Super Jump again. Go right and jump on
the bouncy cloud. Now you're a lot higher up. Go right and use another bouncy
cloud. Go through the door.
STAIR 2
Go right and Super Jump up two clouds. Save if you want. Go left and jump on
the bouncy cloud, followed by two more. Go right to find some Ruff Puffs, which
have 15 HP and 4 attack. Go right and jump up a few clouds. Then jump on the
bouncy one. Go left and use the platform to move further left. Then jump on the
cloud and go through the door.
STAIR 3
Go right and use the bouncy cloud. Ignore the door. Go left and jump up a few
blocks, then to the highest cloud. When you get to cloud 37 (they're numbered),
flip to 3D and walk across the line of blocks. Move down a few clouds. The
second cloud below cloud 38 is a bouncy cloud. Use it. Go left and go through
the door.
STAIR 4
Jump up a few clouds and go on the platform moving up. Ignore the door for now
and jump on the left platform to go higher. The left cloud has a Shroom Shake
on it (in the chest). Go right and use the bouncy cloud. Go right and go
through the door.
STAIR 5
Super Jump to the cloud above you and go left to use a bouncy cloud. There will
be two pairs of blocks above you. There's no way you can get higher up now, so
jump over the right edge of the cloud. If you hit a block to the cloud right of
(there should be a door around there, too) where you land and you get a
Mushroom, you fell to the right place. Use the platform right of you to get
higher up. Once you get all the way to the top, have Luigi Super Jump to get on
the above cloud. If you read the sign, it says "Black Fruit Hither". The other
name for the black fruit is taboo fruit. You need to get it, so flip to 3D. Go
down the path and go through the door. Use Boomer, Thudley, or Cudge to knock
one off the tree. You can take all of them, but you need to save one. Go
through the door again. Flip to 3D and go back down the path. Fall to the
bottom cloud and go back to Stair 4.
STAIR 4
Go to the bottom of Stair 4. Use the platform to get up to the door you saw
earlier. Go through it. Go left. GASP! It's Peach! She's sleeping... Luvbi
comes in and tells you that it's because she ate the golden fruit. Now she
won't wake up for a hundred years. The only way to wake her up is to give her
some taboo fruit. Wait, hold up...we already have that! If you had another
fruit and gave it to her, you could see some funny side effects. She could turn
small, big, or grow a mustache! Anyways, give her the black fruit. She wakes
up. She's grossed out now, but at least it worked. Go back out the door.
There's another thing you need to do here, but there'll be a shortcut back
later, so we'll just take that. Go to Stair 5.
STAIR 5
Get back to the spot where you couldn't get up higher (with the two pairs of
blocks). Now that you have Peach, get to the top block and float right. Use the
three bouncy clouds. When you're on cloud 60, go through the door.
STAIR 6
Go left to see a new enemy called a Skellobit. They have 10 HP, 2 attack, and 2
defense. A Skellobomber is the same, but it flies and drops Skellobaits, which
have 5 HP, 2 attack, and 1 defense. Spiky Skellobaits are the same, but of
course, have spikes. And the last one is a Spiky Skellobit, which is the same
as a Skellobit but is a more pinkish color and has a spike. Confusing, no? OK,
so after going left, use the platform to get up. Jump on the following platform
after that. Jump a few stairs to your right (that's what I'll call them... I
don't think they have a specific name). Use the bouncy cloud to get up and use
the blocks to jump to a cloud with a Cursya. Wait until you see a platform and
take that up. Carefully jump left on the stairs. Jump up a couple clouds and go
through the door.
STAIR 7
Go left and hit the two blocks for a coin in each. Use the bouncy cloud, and
right after use the other. Climb the stairs up to the left and jump up to the
above clouds. Wait for the platform to come and take it across. Climb up and go
left. The cloud you see can talk. His name is Cyrrus. If you bring him a fruit
to make him big, you can bounce on him to get higher up. Ugh, this is getting
old. Back to Stair 4! No, you don't have to physically walk back, or else I
would've told you earlier. If you go a little more left you can find a pipe to
take you back.
STAIR 4
Fall a little to the right and you can find a door. Go through it to get a Red
Apple. This is really easy. Once you have it, take the pipe back to Cyrrus.
STAIR 7
Give Cyrrus the Red Apple and he'll become big. Here's the best bouncy cloud
yet. You get to make a little trip back to space now! It's only a few seconds,
though. After falling from space you're back at the Overthere Stair. WHY?! Go
right and through the door.
END OF THE OVERTHERE STAIR
YES! Simply get Peach out and float across the rightmost gap. A little more to
the right is the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 7-3!
********************
CHAPTER 7-4 [CHP7.4]
********************
"A Bone-Chilling Tale"
Enemies: Gawbus (20 HP), Ghoul Shroom (10 HP), Gigabite (6 HP), Megabite
         (4 HP), Skellobait (5 HP), Skellobit (10 HP), Skellobomber (10 HP),
         Spiky Skellobait (5 HP), Spiky Skellobit (10 HP)
--The Overthere--
Ah, the same annoying music as there was last chapter. Luvbi tells you a little
about her father, King Grambi. Then you get to play. This place isn't split
into stairs, it's split into sectors. Chapter 7-3 and this are definitely the
most confusing chapters of the game and the longest ones (the last one is a
little longer when you include all the conversation).
SECTOR 1
Head right until you can't go any further. Wait for the cloud platform to
descend and Super Jump to get up to it. Once you're at the top, rid of the
Skellobit and the Spiky Skellobit if you wish. Jump on the platform moving left
and right, but instead of taking it, fall down to the right of it. The lower
block has a coin, the center a Speed Flower, and the upper a Mushroom. Go
through the door.
SECTOR 2
Two Skellobits torturing a Nimbi? That's just cruel! KILL THEM! Hmm, that was
cruel, too. Oh, well. Who gives? After you beat them, Luvbi asks the other
Nimbi what happened. He said those guys are seeking the Pure Heart. Oh no they
aren't! That's ours! The Nimbi gives you a key. There's other stuff in this
sector, but you don't need that now, so go back out the door.
SECTOR 1
Go left and reuse the cloud platform to get up. When you get to the top, use
the platform going left and right to get to a locked door. Unlock it.
SECTOR 3
Go right and you'll see another locked door. Well obviously we're not getting
through there yet. Keep going right to find a Save Block. Use Peach to float to
the right a few times and you'll find a girl Nimbi standing next to a block of
ice. There's another Nimbi inside. This is a job for Bowser! Use his fire to
rid of the ice. Hmm... The Nimbis call each other "darling dear" and "Fair
Fallbi". I guess Fallbi is her name, then. Follow them left. Talk to Mr.
Darling Dear (hehe) inside the random building you just passed a few seconds
ago. OK, his new name is "the Overator guy". You know why? 'Cause the building
is actually an elevator, which is located in The Overthere (DUH!). Goest thou
up? Yea! Ooh, colors! You don't have to free the Nimbis from the ice, but how
would you feel if you were stuck like that? Go through the door.
SECTOR 4
Go right and free the Nimbis on your way. You have to free the last one. His
name is Whibbi. Luvbi asks about her father. He says the beasts couldn't be
stopped from entering Grambi's shrine. The bridge was destroyed so you can't
reach him now. Great! Super! (DANNNNG!) Now you must locate Rebbi, Blubi, and
Yebbi to get their three orbs to rebuild the bridge. You get another key. Go
back to sector 3.
SECTOR 3
Go to the beginning and find the locked door. What to do? A key and a locked
door... Hmm...
SECTOR 5
Fall left and go through a pipe to get coins. Super Jump to the leftmost cloud
after exiting the pipe. Jump up and go through the door.
SECTOR 6
Go a little right and flip to 3D. Jump across the clouds and go back into 2D.
Hit the block to your left. You've waited for this for a while. Grab the Mega
Star. Run! Don't worry about jumping or anything. After making it to the end,
flip to 3D again and jump across the clouds. Go right to find...a bathroom?
That's kind of random. Not as random as it was on Planet Blobule, though. Try
to open the door. Someone asks if it's safe to come out. He asks who you are.
Don't tell him the truth, or he'll think you're lying. Tell him a lie, and
he'll think you're lying. That's a good thing, though. But you have to tell him
you're a monster or it won't work. You wouldn't admit to being a monster if you
were, right? He comes out. Hey, that's Yebbi! Luvbi tells him to give you the
yellow orb. One down, two to go. Go all the way back to the beginning of this
sector and go through the door.
SECTOR 5
Go back by the door, but don't go through it. Hit the block in the building
right of it. It'll take you to the right. Flip to 3D. You'll see a lot of
Skellobits. There are two doors if you move down. The point of flipping to 3D
was so you could see the one behind the building (even though you can sort of
see it in 2D). Anyways, go through that one.
SECTOR 7
Jump over the right edge of this cloud and open the chest to get a new...Nimbi?
You thought there was a Pixl, didn't you? Nah, you got your last one (unless
you get some of the optional ones). Anyways, the Nimbi gives you an Ultra
Shroom Shake. This could help you towards the end of the game. You really won't
need it for this chapter. Use the clouds to get back up to where you started
and float across the gap. You'll see that Rebbi is fighting off some Skellobits
and a Spiky Skellobit. He's tired and he needs you to finish the job. This
part's easy. After you beat them, talk to Rebbi and Luvbi gets him to give you
the red orb. Now just one more! Go to Sector 2 again.
SECTOR 2
Go far to your right and Super Jump up two clouds. Hit the blocks to find a
Ghoul Shroom and Super Shroom. Go left and jump up a few clouds. You'll find
another Nimbi encased in ice. Use Bowser's fire. It's Blubi! He gets really
confused after thanking you. Just talk to him again and he'll remember who he
is. After that, Luvbi calls him "Dumbi" and gets the blue orb for you. Finally!
Go back to Sector 4.
SECTOR 4
Place the three orbs on the pedestal to recreate the bridge. Cross over it and
go through the door.
You'll be halted by a Spiky Skellobit. It'll call in a bunch of troops. That
doesn't look good. Rebbi comes in with a bunch of Nimbis. They're going to
fight off the group for you. There are still some enemies that can hurt you on
the ground, though, so watch it. Oh, that brings back memories from Chapter 1-
2... Heh. OK, go right and climb up the stairs. Grab the Ultra Shroom from the
block and hit the Save Block. A healing item and a Save Block together. You
know what that means! Go through the door.
King Grambi! He's hurt... What could've happened? WHOA! That's a huge dragon.
And yes, it's a dragon for sure, whether it looks like one or not. This guy is
the REAL monster that escaped from The Underwhere. His name is Bonechill, hence
"A Bone-Chilling Tale". Luvbi says her father will never give him the Pure
Heart. He says she doesn't know anything about what's going on. He says that
she's really the Pure Heart. Um, is he crazy? She sure doesn't look like one.
He says that Jaydes and Grambi really don't care about her. She asks her father
if it's true. She takes Grambi away while you fight Bonechill.
|````````````````\
|HP: 80           \
|Attack: 4         \
|```````````````````\_________________________________________________________
In my opinion, this guy is way too easy for a Chapter 7 boss. He's pretty
big, but nothing hard. He's just got high HP. He attacks with ice. He has ice
breath, he launches ice cubes at you, and creates lines of icicles to fall on
you on the ceiling, sort of like what Mimi does with rubees. All you really
have to do is use Luigi's Super Jump on his head a few times until he's done
for.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Grambi and Luvbi come back in. Luvbi asks if Bonechill was lying. Jaydes then
comes in. How did she get here? I mean, really. She doesn't look like the type
of thing that can jump up a bunch of clouds. Well, whatever. Luvbi asks Jaydes
if her and Grambi are really her parents. They decide to fess up. It turns out,
Luvbi is really the Pure Heart. Oh, well that's just GREAT! We wasted like an
hour and a half walking around with the Pure Heart wondering where it was!
After a long conversation and fight with her "parents", she decides to return
to her Pure Heart form. Aww. I'm going to miss that little brat! So you get the
white Pure Heart... END OF CHAPTER 7-4!

INTERMISSION #7 [INT7]
<><><><><><><><><><><>

Count Bleck finds out that the heroes are still alive. Dimentio says it won't
be long before they come. O'Chunks, Mimi, and Dimentio decide to go throw you a
party! Yay! Dimentio asks if the name Blumiere rings a bell. Count Bleck is
surprised. Then Dimentio leaves. Nastasia and the count have a short
conversation and the cutscene is over.

Blumiere's father is telling him not to open the "dark book". Wait...huh? Dark
book. The Dark Prognosticus! Blumiere starts laughing like... Oh my... It's
him! Blumiere lives no more!

--Flipside--

Tippi starts yelling out things about Blumiere. This is getting weird, isn't
it? After she snaps out of it, they all go to Merlon's house. During the
conversation, Tippi asks if Count Bleck really has to be destroyed to stop the
prophecy. He tells her yes, in his own confusing way. After a little bit more
conversation, you're sent to find the last Heart Pillar. There isn't much time
to waste (even though you can take as long as you want), so hurry! Go in front
of the tower in Flopside.

--Flopside--

Flip to 3D and go down the path like you normally would. Flip back to 2D. You
may need Luigi for the jumps. This one is extremely easy. Just go right and
jump over the pillars to find the Heart Pillar. Place the Pure Heart inside to
create a large door. Go to Flopside Tower. On your way, you get stopped by
Nolrem.

At the top, you'll see him again. After speaking to you, Merlon comes in. Tippi
decides that she's still going with them. The Void expands again. That's where
you're headed this time. Soon you'll face Count Bleck. Go through the last
door...

"The Impending Darkness"

--Castle Bleck Entry--

I put the list of enemies in a different place this time because you're in the
same place the for the whole chapter, just in different sections. You see a
short scene that shows the castle with a sound effect. OOH, SCARY! Go right and
flip to 3D to get inside the castle.

The enemies you see are Koopatrols. They have 15 HP, 3 attack, and 4 defense.
If you go right you'll see a Blue Magiblot, which has 25 HP and 4 attack. I
might as well tell you now: Red Magiblots have 15 HP and 6 attack, and Yellow
Magiblots have 20 HP and 5 attack. Go through the door.

On the stairs are Boomerang Bros. They have 10 HP, 3 attack, and 1 defense.
Ignore the door at the top of the first staircase. Go through the door at the
top of the next staircase.

You've already seen Mr. I's, but you haven't seen a Red I yet. They only
difference is the color and that their attack is 4. Super Jump to the ledge and
go through the door.

Super Jump to the right ledge and switch to Peach. Float over the gap and go
through the pipe. If you go right you'll see a Blue Magiblot and a few Soopa
Strikers which have 16 HP, 5 attack, and 1 defense. It's easiest to go down
this hallway with Mario (in 3D) and Carrie. Open the chest at the end to get a
key. Go back to the room where you saw the Mr. I's and the Red I. Unlock the
door there.

Dull Bones have 15 HP and 4 attack, which is a lot different than their older
stats. I'm not sure if you could've seen a Heavy Cursya yet, but they have 1 HP
and 1 attack like every Cursya does (except for one) and they make it harder
for you to jump high because you're heavy. Further right are some Magikoopas
which have 6 HP and 3 attack. Even further is a Gawbus, which is like a
Jawbus/Rawbus, except it can turn around when you're trying to attack it. It
has 20 HP and 4 attack. Go through the door at the end.

On the stairs are some Fire Bros. They have 10 HP, 3 attack, and 1 defense. See
those random torches at the top of the stairs? You need to remember which ones
are lit and which aren't... Nah, I'll just tell you. Climb up the next
staircase and get the Ultra Shroom from the block. Go through the door.

Hit the Save Block. You have to light the torches to the right just like they
were in the previous room, obviously using Bowser's fire. These are the ones
you should ignite: the second, third, and fifth. A staircase is created. Climb
it. Flip to 3D and go through the door.

It's O'Chunks! Bowser immediately challenges him to a fight without Mario,
Peach, or Luigi. Here we go!

He's quite a bit better than last time. He'll throw stuff at you this time.
This battle can be a little hard, especially since you're using Bowser. Use
Thoreau to throw him, and then use Bowser's fire on him. But actually, that's
not the easiest way to handle this. The reason it's harder with Bowser is
because he moves so slow. Try using Carrie instead. She helps you move
faster. Then, just jump on O'Chunks and use fire if you want, and he'll be
defeated.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After defeating O'Chunks, the room begins to shake and the ceiling falls. AHHH!
Wait...you're saved! By...O'Chunks? But why? He says you have the right to pass
because you defeated him. Well Bowser just has to show off so he starts to hold
it up, too. He has all of the other heroes leave. After that... BOOM! And the
door's locked. Looks like Bowser's gone. Hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 8-
1!
CHAPTER 8-2 [CHP8.2]
********************
"The Crash"
--Castle Bleck Foyer--
You feel another tremor. The heroes are right...that is quite a lot. Tippi
mentions something about Blumiere. You probably know who she is by now. This
chapter is actually kind of fun. You'll see why. Go right. You'll see a few
Zoing-Oings, which have 12 HP and 3 attack. Further are some Blastboxers, which
has 16 HP and 6 attack. You'll pass some enemies you've seen already, too. Go
through the door at the end.
Oh, COOL! Merlon's here. How did he get here anyway? He tells you to hit the
block in front of him. Well he's on your side, so do it! ...Or maybe he isn't?
What's his deal? Oh, that was just Mimi. That girl's going to pay!
So now you're in a jail cell. It's funny how you're paper thin but you can't go
through the bars in 3D. But it's not hard to get out either way. Just use
Boomer on the cracks in the wall to your right and flip to 3D to get out. Go
through the leftmost door.
Flip to 3D and use Carrie to get to the end of this hallway. Hit the block
twice and go back out the door. Now you should take the pipe. The three chests
have items in them. You should definitely open the second one for the key. Flip
to 3D and fall through the hole. Unlock the door.
To the right are some Gloombas. They have 2 HP and 2 attack. I didn't tell you
this before, but it's easy to get up the stairs if you flip to 3D. These guys
can flip, too, but it's still way easier. Go through the first door at the top
of the stairs. Flip to 3D all the way to your right and take the hidden path.
Open the chest for an Ultra Shroom Shake. Go back through the door and climb up
the stairs. Go through that door.
You'll see some Mushrooms hanging from a string. That's...not weird at all.
Only grab the last one. That was real, but it's still a trap. You had to do
this, anyway, though. Flip to 3D and you'll find a Chromeba, which are like
Growmebas but have 10 HP and 3 attack. Defeat it and you'll get a key. You can
go through the pipe now. Go right, save, and go through the door.
Hey, look, it's Merlee! She's going to ask you what things you hate the most.
This is like what Bowser did with Peach in the first Paper Mario, except this
time the choices will really affect your chances of getting through this
chapter if you choose the bad ones. You obviously know who this is. For the
first one, you should answer Ultra Shroom, especially if you're not fully
healed. For the next one, Thunder Rage. For your next choice, she gives you
some strong enemies and a Cooking Mistake. You can choose an Amazy Dayzee or
even...Francis! She's not joking, though. Whatever you choose will be put in
your path to stop you. If you do choose Francis, then you'll have to be
extremely careful for the next battle. He's the same as in Chapter 3-4, by the
way. Choose Cooking Mistake if you want to make it easier.
Go through the next few rooms to find the choices you just picked. When you get
through all of them, you'll see Merlee again. She turns into Mimi. Why, who
would've thought... She's mad at you for lying about what you hated. She even
says that if you beat Francis. Peach starts telling Mimi off for lecturing you.
Of course, this leads to a battle. It's just Peach and Mimi this time. SHOW
HER!
|MINI-BOSS: MIMI\
|````````````````\
|HP: ??           \
|Attack: 4         \
|```````````````````\_________________________________________________________
She's actually pretty tough this time. It can take a long time to beat her.
When I say tough, I don't mean it's super hard to defeat her or anything, but
you'll see what I mean. She's the same as she was the first time, but she has
an attack where she can spin around really fast in the air. It's pretty easy
to just walk away from this, but since you're using Peach, you can just block
with her parasol. Whenever she makes the rubees lift from the ground, use the
parasol, or try to float over them. Use the same technique as you did the
first time. When she loses a few legs, she'll start going a lot faster,
making it really difficult to hit her. This is what makes it take so long.
Overall, it's a pretty long and hard battle.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After defeating her, Mario and Luigi leave with the Pixls. Peach stops and
tells Mimi that she should leave since it's not safe because of the ground
shaking. After that... BOOM! The door's locked! ...Did I say that last chapter?
My bad. Well, Peach tries to save Mimi by hanging onto her while she's trying
to get up on the ledge, but they fall. Bye-bye, Peach! Go right and hit the
Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 8-2!

CHAPTER 8-3 [CHP8.3]
********************

"Countdown to Destruction"

--Castle Bleck Interior--

Tippi feels The Void growing, and she knows there isn't much time left. This
chapter is about twice as long as the last one. I strongly suggest that you
head down this hallway in 3D after you get the Speed Flower, only because
you'll take tons of damage even if you try to KILL the Skellobits and...all the
others in the species. I'm too lazy to figure out the names, heh. After doing
so, go through the door.

Right of you are some Hogarithms. There's really no difference between a
Pigarithm except color. To get through this room, you have to do a certain
something. If you don't, you'll just get brought back to the beginning until
you do it. It's easy, though. Super Jump up to the higher level using Luigi.
Flip to 3D to get around the Barribad's barrier and kill it. Now you can go
through the door.

Find the mirror that doesn't shimmer. How fun! There's a bunch of Dimentio
clones here, too. You probably guessed you would see him. It's best if you move
in 3D so he doesn't hurt you with his magic, even if it is harder. The red
Longator is a Longadile, with 20 HP and 2 attack. There are a few mirrors that
don't shimmer, but I'll tell you the first so you can avoid Dimentio. It's
between the first and second floor (after the one with the door you just came
through). You can get an item if you go right after flipping to 2D, and a key
if you go left. Head right again and flip to 3D when you get to an opening in
the wall. Be wary, you're going to fall into a gap if you just jump out. You're
going to have to jump and press down, so you can go right (that's what it would
be in 2D). Confusing, yes? Then unlock the door.

Grab a Mushroom from the block. There's a staircase with enemies on it, so
you'll want to flip to 3D. Oh... What do we have here? Another place someone
tried to hide from us, eh? Well head down the hallway, avoiding the Soopa
Strikers, and at the end, go back to 2D. Head through the door.

Obviously, you should try to avoid all the Magiblots in the next few rooms. You
have to hit the blocks a certain way. If you run and jump, you should be able
to hit them with Mario. If not, just Super Jump with Luigi. In this room, hit
the rightmost block and go through the door. In the next one, hit the middle
block and go through the door. Ignore the door in this third room. It just
leads to a dead end. Instead, hit the rightmost block and go through the new
door. In the last room, hit the three blocks in this order: middle, right,
left. Open the chest to get a key. Go back to the room where you found the
secret path beneath the staircase. Climb the stairs and unlock the door.

There's going to be a lot of flipping to 2D and 3D in this room, assuming you
don't have infinite 3D. I'm not going to guide you, as it pretty much tells you
what to do when you find out what to look for. Flip to 3D immediately after
entering and you'll see arrows on the wall. You have to follow those arrows
exactly the way they are. If you don't touch every platform in the correct
order, it'll be an endless loop to the beginning of this room, like it would've
been if you didn't kill the Barribad. After that, just head through the door.

Oh, perfect. More mirrors. Don't worry, this is the last you'll see of the
mirrors. On the sixth floor, where there should be a Longadile, is where you'll
find the opening. Flip back to 2D after doing that. What the...? Now there are
TONS of Dimentio clones. These guys won't hurt you, though. They'll just try to
prevent you from getting the key. Use Cudge to move through them and to get
them off the chests. After you get the key, go to the other side where you can
see the mirrors, SAVE (definitely), and unlock the door.

Ah... The REAL Dimentio. He sees that Bowser and Peach are missing. He says
he'll let you pass, after you play tag with him. Um, how old is he? He
disappears. A tear appears floating in the air. Use Fleep on it and hit the
block.

--Lineland Road--

Hey! What gives? Didn't we finish this place like, more than 7 chapters ago?
Wait! It's Dimentio! This must be part of his stupid game of tag. Follow him
right. You've already been to this place. You know exactly what to do. Once
you're as far right as you can get, find another tear, flip it and hit the
block.

--Merlee's Mansion--

Yay, it's the freaky mansion! Go to the safe. Flip the tear and then hit the
block.

--The Tile Pool--

This time you're going to head left. Swim to the beginning of the level, flip
the tear, and hit the block.

--Planet Blobule--

Head right until you get to a green door. Remember, you're supposed to flip
here. After that, by the space you can go through in 3D is the tear. Flip it
and hit the block.

--Gap of Crag--

Remember where you found the Fire Tablet? In case you forgot, flip to 3D a
little to the right and then go down a level. Flip the tear and hit the block.

--The World of Nothing--

It's going to be kind of long just like the first time you had to go through
here, although not as long. Use Carrie and go to the right until you see the
tear. Flip it and hit the block.

--Underwhere Road--

Simply make your way up to Dorguy the First. The tear is pretty much in the
center of the door. Flip it and hit the block.

--Castle Bleck Interior--

Whoo, we're back! Dimentio asks you to help him destroy the count. He tells you
about how he rescued Peach from being brainwashed and reminds you that he sent
you to The Underwhere to get the Pure Heart fixed. So, it's your choice. You
can team up with him or not. Don't... That'll just get you a game over. Refuse
all of his offers. He makes a remark about Luigi's mustache... Uh-oh. Luigi's
mad. Now HE'S going to fight Dimentio all by himself, like you probably
expected. BUT...he won't be able to use Pixls like Peach and Bowser could.

It's a good thing you don't need Pixls to beat Dimentio, because they're all
gone now. It's just Luigi. Dimentio is pretty much the same as last time. He
throws orbs at you, makes those boxes, and clones himself. It's a somewhat
difficult battle, but there isn't much to say. Use Luigi's Super Jump if you
have the chance. Otherwise, just jump on him and you'll eventually win.

Upon beating him, he says he gives up. But before his game is ended, he wants

guessed? Hit the Star Block. END OF CHAPTER 8-3!

CHAPTER 8-4 [CHP8.4]
********************

"Tippi and Count Bleck"

--Castle Bleck Inner Sanctum--

And just what about Tippi and Count Bleck? This is the game's longest chapter,
although the only thing that makes it so long is the amount of text and
fighting. Mario thinks Bowser, Peach, and Luigi are still alive. After Tippi
responding to that, you get to start. Go right down the very long hallway and
go through the door. In the next room, point the remote and the screen and
press A to reveal a door. Go through it.

Jump on the platforms moving up and down until you can't go any further due to
a very tall one blocking the path. Flip to 3D and jump to the left one, then
the one north of that. Then go back into 2D. You'll come to another one after
that. Do the same thing. At the end, go through the door.

There are going to be platforms going up and down in this room. There should be
one going down as soon as you enter. Don't jump on it. Wait for the next one,
because they stop after a few of them descend. You'll come to a floor after a
few of them. Flip to 3D there and go through the pipe. By the right wall, flip
to 3D and you'll see a small space. Use Dottie to get into it and then you can
go into 2D. Get the key from the chest and go back through the pipe. Jump
across some more platforms and unlock the door.

Go a little bit to the right. You've seen a Muth before, but this is a Mega
Muth and it actually tops the stats of the final boss. You know who that is,
right? It's just that it has no defense. It's got 200 HP and 8 attack. You can
kill them for some major experience points, but I doubt you need them. Then
again, the bosses the Paper Mario games throw at you at the end are a lot
harder than the ones you fought the chapter just before, so maybe you will want
to beat them. But whatever, it's your choice. It's easy to pass them in 3D. At
the end, go through the door.

This is my personal favorite (favorite meaning most hated) part of the game.
The Hallway Maze! No, I don't hate it most, but I don't like it. It's easy to
get confused though. Follow these directions carefully:

SECTION 1
Flip to 3D immediately upon entering and go through the second door on the
right. Keep heading right until you get to a hallway with a Cursya. Flip to 2D
in that hallway and then go right and go through the door.

SECTION 2
Go to the end of this hallway. Flip to 3D and enter the path on the left. Walk
toward the screen a bit and go through a door on the left. Again, walk toward
the screen and go through a door to the left. Flip to 2D and go through the
door to the right.

SECTION 3
Flip to 3D and enter the second OPEN doorway on the right, which is near the
end. Walk toward the screen and go through the next doorway on the right. Open
the chest for an Ultra Shroom Shake. Go toward the screen and go through the
SECOND opening on the right. Go through one more doorway to the right and go
back into 2D. Go through the door to the right.

Finally, we're done with that. Not so bad, right? Climb up the staircase to
your right and hit the block for an Ultra Shroom. Save and go through the door.

Tippi feels something very powerful. Could it be the Chaos Heart? Wait... I
know that laugh. It's Count Bleck! After a little bit of conversation, Tippi
calls him Blumiere. And he calls her Timpani. So it IS her... She says that
they came to destroy him. You obviously know what's going to happen now...

I'm not going to show you the boss strategy yet, because he's invincible right
now. If you jump on him, he's protected by the Chaos Heart. You do have to
attempt to hurt him though. Just jump on him a few times. He'll talk and then
you get to continue. Jump on him a few more times.

He's about to end your game, and Bowser comes in. He survived! And so did Peach
and Luigi! Count Bleck mentions something he wrote. The heroes start glowing.
How odd... The Pure Hearts! They rise Count Bleck and destroy his barrier. Now
we've got his number!

|BOSS: COUNT BLECK\
|``````````````````\
|HP: 150            \
|Attack: 8           \
|`````````````````````\_______________________________________________________
Whoa! That's a lot of HP, and attack. Paper Mario games always have really
strong bosses at the end. Luigi is best for this battle, because Count Bleck
has some weird attacks that even Peach can't block. I hate how big this room
is because half the time you don't even know where the count is. Use Super
Jump when you get the chance. Otherwise, just jump on him. It's going to take
quite a few hits to actually beat him because of his high HP. He's pretty
tough, actually. He can throw void fragments at you. Peach can block THAT,
but you still shouldn't use her. He creates a small void that can suck you in
and do a lot of damage. That's the attack you want to watch out for. The most
annoying attack he has, though, is the one that slows you down. That takes
FOREVER to wear off and makes it really hard to it him. Try to beat him as
fast as you can. It's pretty tough, but you can do it.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
After beating him, Nastasia comes in, and he tells the heroes to finish him
off. He says if you do, the prophecy will be undone. Tippi, or should I say
Timpani, doesn't want to because they're finally together again. Nastasia tries
to protect the count from something. She gets hit by an orb. Wait a second.
That looks like what Dimentio would try to hit you with.
Yup, it was Dimentio all right. There he is. He explains to the heroes that he
wanted them to defeat Count Bleck with the power of the Pure Hearts and how he
would take control of the Chaos Heart after that. Now he's going to end their
games. So he's the real villain here! He leaves the rest to Mr. L. ...Mr. L? I
thought his game was ended. GASP! Mr. L is LUIGI? I would've never guessed! A
sprout appears on Luigi's head. It's time for the greatest magic show you'll
ever see! The platforms start moving. Um... What the heck is that? Some sort of
robot? Dimentio sends Count Bleck, Nastasia, and Tippi away and goes inside the
mouth of it. Battle time!
Here's the real final boss, although this isn't the actual battle yet. I don't
know what it is with Paper Mario, but the last boss(es) are always invincible.
In the first one, you had to use a power to remove the magic the boss used. In
the second, the boss started out normal, and then she went into her invincible
form which led to a cutscene, like Count Bleck and this guy (you're about to
see one), and then her invincibility was gone. So this thing's name is Super
Dimentio. Attack him a few times to see a cutscene.
You see a lot of the places you've been to, and there's a lot of rumbling. It's
because The Void is getting so large, like it was in Sammer's Kingdom. Count
Bleck, Nastasia, and Tippi were sent to Dimension D. They want to counter the
Chaos Heart, but there's no way without the Pure Hearts. Mimi and O'Chunks
appear. So they survived, too, huh? They want to help stop Dimentio. Yeah, go
Mimi! There's no WAY he's getting away with this. The eight Pure Hearts appear.
Yes! Tippi takes them to the three remaining heroes. Your HP is fully recovered
and now Super Dimentio is vulnerable. TAKE HIM!
Well, here it is! The final battle! He was too easy for a last boss, in my
opinion. Notice I said for a last boss. He's still kind of hard, but I wish
he could've been harder. He can throw mini blocks at you, and jumps on you,
doing a lot of damage. You want to use Peach to avoid the mini blocks. Just
run away from him when he tries to jump on you. You'll know when a huge
target locks on you. Use Thudley on him if you can. Just do that and you'll
beat him.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Dimentio, not showing his face, says he's been saving one last surprise. Oh,
no... At least Luigi's OK. Luigi asks why he's there. Count Bleck, Mimi, and
O'Chunks appear. Apparently, defeating Dimentio wasn't enough to stop the
prophecy. It should have been, but Dimentio left some of his power. Then how do
we stop it? As of now, Count Bleck will be called Blumiere and Tippi will be
called Timpani. Blumiere creates a door and everyone goes through it.

If you've ever watched the optional opening scene to this movie, this is where
Bowser and Peach got "married". Blumiere and Timpani go up to the altar. They
say they love each other. The Pure Hearts form together inside the Chaos Heart,
and form the Purity Heart. At least that's what I think it's supposed to be.
Other people say they never showed it. After that, Timpani and Blumiere
disappear. Bells start to ring. According to Peach, the bells are giving their
blessings to Timpani and Blumiere. All the worlds reappear, including Sammer's
Kingdom! The screen fades out.

--Flipside--

The remaining people are on Flipside Tower. Mario and Nastasia wake up. Why was
Mario sleeping in the first place? The Void starts to disappear. Merlon comes
in and says the Prophecy of Destruction has not come to be. Mario explains to
him what happened to Timpani. Nastasia says that they're alive and living
somewhere together. And then she starts crying... I don't see why. Blumiere was
kind of scary, heh. Merlon asked Saffron to make some snacks for all of them.
They all leave, except for Peach. He wonders if Timpani is truly happy. Well,
she must be, if she liked Blumiere that much. You see some text, and then the
credits start rolling. After the credits, you get to see Blumiere and the real
Timpani, although it's just their figures. You can save afterwards.

CONGRATULATIONS! You beat the game! But there's still more to do. Read the
other sections for more information.

6. BOSSES [BSS1]
================

Here you can read a strategy for each boss in the game. It's actually the same
as in the walkthrough. There's no point in making a different strategy. I just
did this to make it easier to find.

|MINI-BOSS: O'CHUNKS\
|````````````````````\
|HP: 20               \
|Attack: 1             \
|```````````````````````\_____________________________________________________
O'Chunks is VERY easy, even for a first boss. He uses an attack that looks
like it's going to do tons of damage, and then it just does 1. Use Thoreau to
throw him and stun him for a few seconds, and then jump on him. Your attack
should be around 2, so ten hits should get rid of him. He's really nothing
hard.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
_______________
|BOSS: FRACKTAIL\
|````````````````\
|HP: ??           \
|Attack: 1         \
|```````````````````\_________________________________________________________
I really have no clue what his HP was because the game doesn't say. Most
people think he has 18 because they have about 2 attack power when they fight
him. He IS weaker than O'Chunks, but he's definitely a boss, and although he
might be easy, he's not easier than O'Chunks. When you first see him, he
recognizes you as the hero, but Dimentio comes in and uses his magic on him.
Uh-oh. Well first, he flies around in the background and comes charging at
you. Move out of the way when he does that. Then he comes flying in from the
left, but only flies above you. Tippi warns you that he's about to fly in
from the right, so you'd better flip to 3D. Once in 3D, move out of the way
and jump on his back right when his head passes you. You're in the air, on
his back in 2D. Run up to his head. There are creatures that look like
Cataquacks from other Mario games popping up from his back. These are called
Frackles. Use Thoreau to grab them and throw them at his antenna. After three
hits, he spins around, trying to throw you off his back. To win this battle
quickly, try to jump from his back to his head when he does this. It's kind
of hard, but it saves you a lot of time. After about nine hits you'll have
beaten him.
__________
|BOSS: MIMI\
|```````````\
|HP: ??      \
|Attack: 1    \
|``````````````\______________________________________________________________
Her HP has nothing to do with beating her (it's infinite). She's not really
an RPG type of boss because, even though you can do 3 damage to her or
whatever your attack is, it doesn't count. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but
don't spiders have eight legs? Oh well. She has six. This is what you want to
pay attention to. You have to wait a few seconds at the beginning of the
battle to be able to hurt her. Merlee uses her magic to get rid of her
defense. Most likely, she's going to start crawling on the ceiling and
drop rubees on you. You should have Peach for this battle. Use her parasol if
the rubees are going to drop right on you. If you can avoid them, do so, and
use Thoreau to pick them up. Throw them at her to knock her off the ceiling.
Now you can get rid of her legs. Jump on her once to stun her. If you don't
jump on her quick enough after that, you'll have to stun her again and do it.
Each time you do this, her leg falls off. Sometimes it's hard to jump on her
without running into her instead, which deals you damage. Keep using this
strategy and you'll beat her in no time.
|HP: 20             \
|Attack: 1 / 2       \
|`````````````````````\_______________________________________________________
He's got more than one attack, so he has no exact attack power. His fire
breath does 2 damage, and his jump causes 1. If you run into him it's also 1.
You may not have full HP during this, so that may cause it to be a bit hard.
All you can really do is use Boomer to bomb him a few times. Unfortunately,
you can't use Peach, and it would be a lot easier with her. Just try not to
let him touch you and you'll win.
|``````````````````````````\__________________________________________________
Again, this is a boss without a definite HP. I had 6 attack when I fought it
(you're supposed to use Bowser, so the actual attack was 3) and you have to
hurt it three times, so I thought his HP was 18. I don't think the HP
matters, though. What you have to do is swim around with Bowser, avoiding the
tentacles he tries to hit you with. SOMEHOW you can breathe fire and hurt the
Blooper with it. Hit the blue tentacles (I'm pretty sure it uses three), and
then hit the red one it tries to hit you with to do damage. Hit the red one
three times to beat him.
So we finally get to fight this guy, the one who makes dragons turn evil!
This battle isn't very difficult, but it's a little lengthy. Use Peach for
this battle. He can throw orbs at you and Peach can easily block those. He'll
also create boxes to cause explosions in, and if you get trapped in one,
you're going to get hurt. If you can avoid these boxes, you can use them to
get higher up, which you'll need to do sometimes. He floats around, so it's a
little harder to hit him. Overall, he's not too difficult.
|Meowbomb           \
|HP: 1               \
|Attack: 2            \
|Defense: 1            \
|```````````````````````\_____________________________________________________
Oh, I'm sorry, I mean "LORD Francis". Yeah, no. A lot of people seem to think
this guy is funny just because he's the biggest nerd ever...I think he's
annoying. And I don't just mean the way he acts. The way he battles is
annoying, too. First off, you can't tattle on this guy when you first fight
him. You don't have Tippi until you beat him. I read that he has 40 HP total.
His attack power varies depending on how much time he has to inflict damage
on you, and you'll see what I mean in just a second. The best character to
use for this battle is Mario. Even though he has no special moves for
battling, he's got the advantage in this fight. Francis is invisible until
he's about to attack you. He can use a camera flash to make you unable to see
for a second. He lets Meowbombs fall from the ceiling to damage you. The
attack where the damage varies is when he swallows you. Until you get out, he
does more and more damage to you. To get out, you have to shake the remote.
OK, back to the reason you should use Mario. He's the only character you have
that can flip to 3D. It's easy to tell where Francis is in 3D because you can
see his shadow on the floor. Just stay close to it (not too close, though),
and jump on him when he becomes visible. You can also tell where he is by the
sound of his footsteps, but that's quite a bit harder. This battle takes a
few minutes, and it's somewhat difficult. Still, you won't have TOO much
trouble.
|HP: 40            \
|Attack: 3 / 6      \
|````````````````````\________________________________________________________
Who in the world is this dude? Well, we've finally come to a boss with a
pretty high attack power. Peach is the best for this battle, no doubt. This
guy is all about jumping on you, and we all know she can block that. It's not
all that easy in this battle though. Sometimes, he tries to use Shroom
Shakes. You SHOULD know what those are, but in case you don't, they heal you.
To stop him, jump on his head before he uses it. When he starts to shrink
down, sort of like a spring, DON'T jump on him. He's going to super jump,
which is how he does that 6 damage. He's a little difficult, I won't lie. It
shouldn't take too long to defeat him.
|Attack: 4      \
|Defense: 3      \
Wow! 255 HP! You may be thinking that, but it's not as hard as it sounds.
Don't think that means this battle isn't hard, though. It is. You just fought
Mr. L who probably did some damage to you, and now you have to fight the
enemy with the highest HP in the game, next to a Dark Muth (not a boss). This
battle is a little different since you're not using your normal attacks. You
use Squirps's fire balls. Make sure to get the power-ups. Those are quite
helpful, especially if you're like me and you don't level up enough, meaning
you can't even hurt him without the attack power-up. Brobot has a great range
of attacks. He uses lasers a lot, whether they be from his eyes or laser
bolts. He also uses homing rockets, which seem like they should be, but
aren't very hard to avoid. He can suck you in, doing about 3 damage to you.
The power-ups include attack, barrier, speed, missile, and multi-shot.
Him again? He's exactly twice as strong as last time, yet still nothing
difficult. His attacks are like they used to be, just they do 2 damage.
Either use Bowser, the best choice, or Peach for this battle. Bowser does
more damage, so he's a better choice.
The same Mini-Boss in the same chapter, and twice in a row. Oh no, I'm sorry.
Now we're fighting O'Cabbage, so that makes a big difference. Not. He's three
times as strong as he was the first time. He's a little bit tough if you're
low on HP. He's really fast this time, though. That makes it quite a bit more
difficult than last time. Only use Bowser if you have high HP. Otherwise, use
Peach. After all, she's got a parasol. We all know that just by holding an
umbrella you can become invincible, right?
I'd really like to know what in the world they were thinking calling this
dude a king. It would've been perfect if he were a queen. Just look at him!
Well, whatever. He's got two forms, but I only count it as one boss because
the forms share the HP. The best combination is definitely Peach and Thoreau.
Grab the...arms, let's say, and throw them at his face when it's not hidden.
Stand on the others to get higher up to his face. They'll aim directly at you
when attacking, so watch out. Actually, there's another easy way to do this.
You can use Bowser and Carrie. Use Carrie to jump and use Bowser's flame. He
can't use flame in the air unless using Carrie. You choose which strategy to
use. Now he'll go into his second form, where you can do the same thing with
Bowser if you want. By using Peach and Thoreau, it's easiest to grab King
Croacus and throw him at the blades he releases. You don't need to wait until
he shows his face that way. Use the bigger blades to inflict more damage. If
you throw the blades at him, wait until you see his face. He's actually very
easy. You can beat him pretty quickly.
She's got really low HP this time, and if you use the strategy I give you,
she's not TOO hard. If you want more of a challenge, which makes it more fun,
use Peach and Thoreau and throw the rubees at her. It's harder to hit her
beause she's got a barrier of rubees, even though that doesn't matter if you
can hit her when she's got the barrier. She can drop rubees on you and flip
to 3D, but you still shouldn't use Mario. Don't let her hit you, or
obviously, you take damage. If you use Bowser and Carrie, and breathe fire at
her while jumping, it takes just a few hits. It sure doesn't help that we
just fought a ton of enemies and lost a ton of HP. 25 HP isn't a lot, but she
isn't quite as easy as she looks. She can make your HP go down FAST. Good
luck!
Peach and Boomer are the ones who should fight this battle. You pretty much
need Boomer for this fight, but Peach is optional. But since you can almost
only do damage with Boomer, you should use Peach because of her defense
ability. When Brobot L-Type lifts himself off the ground, quickly put Boomer
on the ground and let him explode. Brobot's feet are his weak points, so
that's why you want Boomer there. Try to do it even when he's not off the
ground. That way, you're risking taking some damage, but you're going to kill
him faster. His attacks are like last time, but you're not in space so the
way they look is just a bit different. When he goes really high up, put
Boomer down right where you are and run to the left or right to avoid him,
and when he drops to the ground, let Boomer explode. This is actually one of
the more difficult battles.
Um, apparently we're having a turn-based battle here. And it's, like, retro!
It shows no action like the other Paper Mario games. It only shows text. I
In my opinion, this guy is way too easy for a Chapter 7 boss. He's pretty
big, but nothing hard. He's just got high HP. He attacks with ice. He has ice
breath, he launches ice cubes at you, and creates lines of icicles to fall on
He's quite a bit better than last time. He'll throw stuff at you this time.
This battle can be a little hard, especially since you're using Bowser. Use
not the easiest way to handle this. The reason it's harder with Bowser is
because he moves so slow. Try using Carrie instead. She helps you move
She's actually pretty tough this time. It can take a long time to beat her.
When I say tough, I don't mean it's super hard to defeat her or anything, but
you'll see what I mean. She's the same as she was the first time, but she has
an attack where she can spin around really fast in the air. It's pretty easy
to just walk away from this, but since you're using Peach, you can just block
with her parasol. Whenever she makes the rubees lift from the ground, use the
parasol, or try to float over them. Use the same technique as you did the
first time. When she loses a few legs, she'll start going a lot faster,
making it really difficult to hit her. This is what makes it take so long.
Overall, it's a pretty long and hard battle.
It's a good thing you don't need Pixls to beat Dimentio, because they're all
gone now. It's just Luigi. Dimentio is pretty much the same as last time. He
throws orbs at you, makes those boxes, and clones himself. It's a somewhat
difficult battle, but there isn't much to say. Use Luigi's Super Jump if you
have the chance. Otherwise, just jump on him and you'll eventually win.
Whoa! That's a lot of HP, and attack. Paper Mario games always have really
strong bosses at the end. Luigi is best for this battle, because Count Bleck
has some weird attacks that even Peach can't block. I hate how big this room
is because half the time you don't even know where the count is. Use Super
Jump when you get the chance. Otherwise, just jump on him. It's going to take
quite a few hits to actually beat him because of his high HP. He's pretty
tough, actually. He can throw void fragments at you. Peach can block THAT,
but you still shouldn't use her. He creates a small void that can suck you in
and do a lot of damage. That's the attack you want to watch out for. The most
annoying attack he has, though, is the one that slows you down. That takes
FOREVER to wear off and makes it really hard to it him. Try to beat him as
fast as you can. It's pretty tough, but you can do it.
Well, here it is! The final battle! He was too easy for a last boss, in my
opinion. Notice I said for a last boss. He's still kind of hard, but I wish
he could've been harder. He can throw mini blocks at you, and jumps on you,
doing a lot of damage. You want to use Peach to avoid the mini blocks. Just
run away from him when he tries to jump on you. You'll know when a huge
target locks on you. Use Thudley on him if you can. Just do that and you'll
beat him.
As you can see if you make it to this boss, the Pit of 100 Trials is no joke.
You just fought a ton of enemies, only being able to level up and use healing
items to get your HP back up, and now you have to fight a boss with 10
attack? Yup. This boss is just a different-colored, super strong version of
Fracktail. This fight is so easy if you just use Luigi. You have to hit his
antenna 27 times. That's three times as many as Fracktail. This boss actually
has infinite HP. You just have to hit his antenna 27 times. If you Super Jump
with Luigi, you can hit it 9 times in just a few seconds. This is really just
a strong version of Fracktail. Otherwise, it's the same.
|``````````````````````````````\______________________________________________
Brobot and Dark Muths might have the highest HP (255), but these are all
considered to be one boss, having 400 total.
Dark Luigi is more like Dark Mr. L because of the way he looks (his shape is
different). This is basic fighting, but you have to be careful. You went
through the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials twice just to get to her (Shadoo is
most likely the Pixl Queen you might have heard about), and you wouldn't want
to lose your progress from the second time you went through. Barry is a good
Pixl to use, but Cudge is the easiest for attacking. Dark Mario can only do
20 damage with his hammer. Dark Peach may not be able to do 20 damage, but
she's got the best way of defending. If you have a low attack, this boss is
TOUGH. I highly recommend using Peach. Good luck beating the four!
9. ARCADE [ARCD]
================
The arcade is located on floor B1 of Flipside. All you'll see is a coffee shop.
Go inside and flip to 3D to find a pipe when you walk towards the screen. After
taking the pipe, you'll be in the arcade. You need tokens to play, so talk to
The InterNed to get some. Here's how much each amount of tokens costs:
1 token   =   3 coins
5 tokens  =  15 coins
10 tokens =  30 coins
50 tokens = 150 coins
To get the Gold Card, flip to 3D in the Flopside coffee shop.
Here is the list of games:
FORGET ME NOT (20 ROUNDS)
-10 TOKENS
This is basically just a game of Memory with Paper Mario characters on the
cards. It's quite a bit difficult in the later rounds. Just try to remember
what you saw and give it your best shot.
MANSION PATROL (10 ROUNDS)
-10 TOKENS
You're in a mansion, and you have to get rid of the Boos before they can scare
you. You have three lives. Point the Wii Remote at the screen and fire with A.
It takes a while, but it will eventually become harder. You have to hit them
before they can come close to the screen. Dark Boos are faster than the regular
Boos. Atomic Boos give away most points. If you catch a Boo holding a Toad,
shoot it to get more poins and a Mushroom or a Star.
TILT ISLAND (20 ROUNDS)
-10 TOKENS
You have to walk back and forth, avoiding enemies and grabbing items. What's so
hard about walking back and forth? Well it's not that easy. You have to tilt
the Wii Remote to move your character. This "island" is like the one from a
boss fight in a Super Mario Bros. game.
HAMMER WHACKER (100 ROUNDS)
-20 TOKENS (GOLD CARD NEEDED)
You have to swing the Wii Remote like a hammer to hit a big shell that's coming
towards you. There can be multiple thrown at once. It's not too difficult until
the end. You get a lot of points if the shell comes really close to you.
10. MAPS [MPS1]
===============
You can purchase maps after Chapter 4. You get them on level B1 of Flopside.
Flip by the left wall, swim through the water and talk to the guy and you can
buy them. He doesn't have them all at once, so you'll have to make more than
one trip there, but it's easy anyway.
I'm going to tell you where to get each map, the cost, and the prize for when
you find the spot. Just so you know, you need to use Fleep on the spot to
reveal the prize. Most of these are obvious, so I won't go into much detail
about the location. Here is the setup:
13. PIT OF 100 TRIALS [P100]
============================
The Pit of 100 Trials is pretty much the biggest challenge of this game. The
first Paper Mario didn't have one. It had what was called "The Dojo" where you
fought two guys, and then the hardest boss in the game who got stronger each
time, but you could heal between each character. The Thousand-Year Door had
one. That one was even harder than in this game, because of the ending boss.
This game has two pits. One is in Flipside, and one is in Flopside. They're on
floor B2 of both towns. Flipside's can be accessed after Chapter 1, and
Flopside's after beating Flipside's, and of course, finding Flopside after
Chapter 4.
There isn't much to say about Flipside's pit. It's got a lot of your basic
enemies, and some new ones, too. You get Catch Cards of a lot of Pixls in this
pit. At the end, you fight a stronger version of Fracktail, called Wracktail.
If you beat him, you get Dashell, a new Pixl.
Flopside's pit is much harder. It has dark versions of most enemies in the
game. When I say that, I don't mean every enemy. I mean the weakest of each
species. The only species that has a dark version of almost all of them is
Cursyas. There is no Dark Back Cursya, because it would be unfair if you got
sent back to Flopside. In this pit, you get Catch Cards of a few Pixls and all
of the buddies from Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64. At the end, you find out
there's only one way to get anything from the pit. You have to go through it
AGAIN! Once you do, you fight the strongest boss in the game, Shadoo. Shadoo
has four forms. She turns into Dark Luigi, Dark Bowser, Dark Peach, and Dark
Mario. After beating her, you get the Mario, Peach, Luigi, Bowser, Dark Mario,
Dark Peach, Dark Luigi, and Dark Bowser Catch Cards. When you have the Mario
Catch Card, you have infinite 3D.
I'm not going to explain the pits any more. There's already a FAQ on GameFAQs
about the pits, so I don't need to tell you anymore. However, since I had a
bosses section, I added the bosses of the two pits, and here they are:
FLIPSIDE
_______________
|BOSS: WRACKTAIL\
|````````````````\
|HP: ??           \
|Attack: 10        \
|```````````````````\_________________________________________________________
As you can see if you make it to this boss, the Pit of 100 Trials is no joke.
You just fought a ton of enemies, only being able to level up and use healing
items to get your HP back up, and now you have to fight a boss with 10
attack? Yup. This boss is just a different-colored, super strong version of
Fracktail. This fight is so easy if you just use Luigi. You have to hit his
antenna 27 times. That's three times as many as Fracktail. This boss actually
has infinite HP. You just have to hit his antenna 27 times. If you Super Jump
with Luigi, you can hit it 9 times in just a few seconds. This is really just
a strong version of Fracktail. Otherwise, it's the same.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
FLOPSIDE
____________
|BOSS: SHADOO\
|`````````````\
|Dark Luigi    \
|HP: 100        \
|Attack: 10 / 20 \
|`````````````````\
|Dark Bowser       \
|HP: 100            \
|Attack: 10 / 20     \
|Defense: 4           \
|``````````````````````\
|Dark Peach             \
|HP: 100                 \
|Attack: 10               \
|``````````````````````````\
|Dark Mario                 \
|HP: 100                     \
|Attack: 10 / 20              \
|``````````````````````````````\______________________________________________
Brobot and Dark Muths might have the highest HP (255), but these are all
considered to be one boss, having 400 total.
Dark Luigi is more like Dark Mr. L because of the way he looks (his shape is
different). This is basic fighting, but you have to be careful. You went
through the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials twice just to get to her (Shadoo is
most likely the Pixl Queen you might have heard about), and you wouldn't want
to lose your progress from the second time you went through. Barry is a good
Pixl to use, but Cudge is the easiest for attacking. Dark Mario can only do
20 damage with his hammer. Dark Peach may not be able to do 20 damage, but
she's got the best way of defending. If you have a low attack, this boss is
TOUGH. I highly recommend using Peach. Good luck beating the four!
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

14. DUEL OF 100 [D100]
======================

If you've been to Chapter 6, you know what the Duel of 100 is. The only thing
is that this can only be done after beating the game. Your reward for
completing this is Catch Cards of all of the partners from Paper Mario: The
Thousand-Year Door. Look in the Chapter 6 part of the walkthrough to figure out
the possible HP of the Sammer Guys. This challenge can only be done once. The
boss at the end, who's nothing more than a Big Sammer Guy who's kind of strong
and has special abilities (OK, I guess that's a boss) is called End Boss. I'm
pretty sure he has about 100 HP, but you can't find out even with Tiptron. Good
luck!

15. CREDITS [CRDT]
==================

Here, I'll give credit to anyone who deserves it.

Definitely, ME. It took me a lot longer than I thought it would to write this
FAQ. But, still, I enjoyed it.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems made this great game, so they deserve some as
well.

Thanks to GameFAQs for putting this FAQ up on the site.

And last, but not least, you! You read my longest FAQ so far. It's only my
second actual "FAQ" though, heh.
