Jumping the steam

There a button by the middle one that you have to press with homer to get over and the button is on the lower level.

I had alot of difficulty getting across this section too, to get across i found it best to climb up the hill part just before you try to cross the three steam tops. when you are there press c to switch to homer and get homer to press the a button to actiate the second steam top. press c to switch back to bart and jump. using the bartman cape go from the first steam top and drop down on to the second, i found that while you glide when you reach the second uplift of steam you will see bart jolt up slightly, i found it easier to drop at this point.and it should land you on the second steam top,if you press a now it should then fill the bartman cape with steam and lift you back up and allowing you to travell to the next steam top and then on to the top of the plane.GOOD LUCK, it will take a few attempts but you'll get there. I 'm here at the moment but stuck and don't know what to do now. lol

Your suppost to jump on the plane glide across to the planets then glide to the platform with the switch pull the switch use homer climb up the ladder jump on the solar pannel stay on the side closer to the platform with the switch switch back into bart then jump on the earth from the other side of the solar pannel then jump up the platforms then glide towrds jimbo and lant on the platform jimbos on thumbs up if it helped you
