There is no best but my opinion would be zap, stealth elf, or lightning rod
My opinion is spyro IF you pick the fire path or maybe thumpback if you pick the sliding path but it's actually your choice.
I like crusher if your talking giants. But to me the
Best giant is probably scarlet ninjini.
Fully Upgraded Tree Rex is THE best Skylander in the Giant's series. The Woodpecker Pal is essential for helping you beat all of Brock's Arenas. Went straight through all arenas in one go round without losing once.
