Well John, I'm having the same problem, but slightly different. To get past all the small attack boats, I would have to dive into the water, swim like a madman, call a new boat, swim like crazy some more, get in the new boat, and continue as long as I could until my boat was almost destroyed and repeat the dive, swim, pray method. My problem is, using any boat but the fast attack boat with the big cannons, it takes too long to do any damage to the lawyers yacht. I'll follow him blasting away with grenades, rockets, everything, and he always makes it to open water before he's dead. And I fail. So, if you can find a way to blow up that boat real quick, lemme know. I hope this was of some use.

I've tried just bypassing all of the guys on the dock by driving out on the pier next to it. I drive to the end, get out the car, call for the attack boat, then open up on the yacht with the carbine and bazooka. Then I get into the attack boat and unload on the yacht from there. Then I get ahead of the yacht and get out of the attack boat under the bridge and attack it from land again using the bazooka and carbine again. Then I call for another boat and do the boat swapping like Alonzo420, until I eventually get killed.

I sank the frigate on the Devil's Cay mission with 3 bazooka shots. I've put a lot more than that into the yacht and it still won't sink. I'm beginning to think there's a glitch in the Wii version and we're only three to play the game this far

If anybody's gotten past this mission on a Wii, I'd love to know how.

Since I was having so much trouble with this mission I kept doing Felix/Sandman Leads, Large Supplier missions, and buying Exotics until my Reputation Level increased to 7. Then I bought the Cigarette Gunboat. I started the mission, then went around to a pier (not the one where the mission starts) and called for it. Then I drove it over to where the yacht is and started shooting it as it was just pulling away. By the time the guard boats showed up I had almost sunk the yacht and I was able to finish it off before the guard boats sank me. I finally finished the mission!!!

I'm not even sure the damage bar for the yacht was showing up before I got to Reputation Level 7, it shows up right below the distance bar.

hey i had the same problem all i did was open fire until the attack boats come and then stop wait for them and kill them then just open fire on the big boat again it dont take long to blow it up with the boat u get at the first hopew this helped

Well if you're having a problem with the boat blowing up why don't you just use cheat codes? Press 2 and go to cheats. Then type in tburglr. That replenishes health for any vehicle Tony's in. Also there is medik which replenishes your health. And finally ammo which you can choose to get full ammo again.These should help. I didn't get there in the game yet, But these cheats should help you ESPECIALLY Tburglr. It repairs boats too AND it repairs your vehicles in the driver menu if one is damaged and you need to pay for it. It will just repair it and when you go back it says it is repaired. With ABSOLUTELY NO PAY !

If you unlock the cigarette gun boat you will pass the mission. But do not worry about the attack boats just focus on the yatch. You will lose the gun boat just spawn your attack boat, then when that is gone repair your gun boat and spawn it again and you will be able to beat the mission
