Im getting the game and wondering if I can trade Pokemon from Pokemon platinum

Just like from Diamond and Pearl, you can copy your Pokemon from the Platinum version. Even the Mystery Gift option will be available for it as well. Hope this helps you out.
As long as you have the mystery gift you transfer Pokemon from platinum to battle revolution
when trading from ds to wii do you need a wifi connetion?
