Are you allowed to use Mystery Event pokemon in wi-fi?

I was surprised to see someone had used a Darkrai during a wi-fi battle, and whenever I try to use a Darkrai or Arceus on wi-fi, it never allows them in. How is this possible when I've seen someone use a Darkrai(Mystery Event pokemon)?

Wi-Fi Battle Revolution allows event Pokemon if they have legit information, as in they haven't been obtained through hacks. If you obtained the the Pokemon in a special event, it will work.

There's also a process to disable Pokemon battle revolution's wi-fi connection security, but it's too hard to do(at least for me). Maybe that's why you saw a darkrai on wi-fi connection. Hope this helps!
