Well you must go to nhl and after the season the team choise you to captain

You actually can choose who you want as captain. First you go to OPTIONS. Then you go to SETTINGS. In the settings you go to GAME PLAY. At the bottom of the GAME PLAY page, there is an option where you can click ADDITIONAL OPTIONS. Once you click that, there will be a lot more options throughout the whole game. You can choose captains, create a team, etc.
