Help!!!! I lost my cap and I don't know what's happening!!!!

When you hit 99 lives the Mario will lose his hat after finishing the current level and wont wear it again until you lose one

When you get 99 lives ,Mario loses his hat. If you want your hat back lose a life.

If you collect 99 lives. Your cap is removed. The only way to get it back is by
Losing a live. Then your player's cap is back
